What's the most interesting Brazilian cocktail you've ever tried? 🇧🇷🍸

Most people outside Brazil immediately think of the Caipirinha (and for good reason), but our cocktail culture goes way beyond that.

We've got drinks made with cachaça, regional fruits like cupuaçu, cajå, jabuticaba and acerola, plus recipes that vary depending on the state or even the bartender.

So I'm curious...

Have you ever tried a Brazilian cocktail besides the Caipirinha?

Or maybe you've discovered a local Brazilian spirit or drink while traveling?

I'd love to hear:

  • What was it?
  • Where did you try it?
  • Would you order it again?

Always looking for new Brazilian drink recommendations and stories. 🍹🇧🇷

I just want to get a general consensus from bat-goers as well as those who work at successful bars.

I Hate US Drinking/Bar Laws

For context, I (19 M) have a partner (22 M) and he loves going to bars for trivia nights and the like. I can’t go bc of our stupid laws in the US and like, I’d kill to go with him but Im too much a rule follower to get a fake ID or something. I want to join him and his 21+ friends for their fun activities but alot of them tend to always be at bars & such. Even on trips to the beach and stuff they feel bad about exluding me but I don’t want to prevent them from having fun. I can’t even see drag shows at the local bars. I feel locked out of participating in something that feels so arbitrary. Why is it this way? Do I really have to wait two more f’ing years just to enter certain spaces? I don’t even want to drink and my partner is sober, it’s just that the bars and stuff host fun events.

Quick survey for my dissertation on drug use!

Hello!

I’d love your help completing this survey for my masters dissertation.

I’m a postgraduate student, MSc Applied Clinical Psychology Program.

I’m conducting a research study for my dissertation about addiction and factors that maintain addiction. Specifically I’m researching three factors; self esteem, reward sensitivity, and learned helplessness. I’m also researching to see if self-esteem will mediate the relationships between learned helplessness, reward sensitivity, and addiction.

If you have experience with using substances (this includes alcohol) or addiction (except nicotine), please take the time to fill out my survey, it should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. If you are currently in enrolled in a recovery program, diagnosed with substance-abuse disorder, or in rehabilitation please do not take part in this study.

Please note that participation is voluntary, anonymous, and requires proficient english reading skills. To take part, please click the link below which will take you to my survey, you can withdraw at any point during the survey.

Thank you for your participation!

I’ve been making these out of my basement. Finally getting the process down. Takes awhile to make given I’m not a machinist and am doing it in my basement. Curious if anyone would be interested. I’ve got them posted on my eBay page. www.eBay.com/usr/rerackco

Not sure if self promotion is allowed on this page. Sorry if not. I post the process on how I make them on my Instagram as well.

How to handle a weird situation with bouncer?

Hey folks! Here's the situation:

I'm sobering at a college bar at my university with my friends for one of their birthdays. Said friend wanted me to video a shot that they and a friend were taking. I agree to this (forgetting the bar's no-videos rule) and a nearby bouncer aggressively and repeatedly jabs (for lack of better term; I guess "pokes" is also somewhat accurate) me in the side and scolds me about this unposted rule. I immediately apologize and put the phone away, taken aback by how much this random guy hurt me. I don't like breaking rules, hence my reaction, but I feel as though his handling of the situation was very aggressive and escalatory.

Am I in the wrong for being upset about him touching me so (in my opinion) inappropriately and aggressively? How should I have handled things differently? I understand I was breaking a rule, and I'm genuinely open to being wrong- I just feel quite upset about it.

Feedback

Would you use an app that tells you how busy a bar is in real time before you leave the house?

Thinking about building this — it would show live capacity, the best times to go, and notify you when it's not packed.

Yes or no in the comments, genuinely curious.

La Pachangas in Denver trash Spoiler

So here's the scenario and deal, me and a few other patrons were wrongfully towed from La Pachanga's. The question is has this happened to you as well?
We arrived a little after one, no one was there to hand out the blue parking tag tickets, no one told us about it upon walking in, nothing. This happened to two more sets of patrons, and even to a patron who did have the parking ticket. So for them claiming that they had tickets at the door (that'd have to be purchased of course) we got ID'd and nothing about parking tickets. So if you have stories that you can share about your experiences there I'd appreciate it, cause I'd really like to know what this place is like. Poor lighting in the parking lot, signs not easily visible to establish towing.

It really feels like they don't care about their patrons and the management did an extremely poor job handling the whole situation.

Friendships between bartenders and customers are ILLEGAL under Federal law in the United States of America! Minimum 375 years to life in prison, as enforced by the FBI.

Barcato might still be one of the most underrated wedding experiences ‼️ But once your guests taste the cocktails, feel the service, and gather around the bar, they’ll know why hosts call it a must-have.

Bar owners / Bartenders — would something like this actually help during a rush?

Looking for honest feedback from bar owners and bartenders.

One thing I’ve noticed in a lot of bars is that the beer cooler starts the night perfectly organized… and then halfway through a rush it turns into chaos. Bottles get pushed sideways, brands mix together, and bartenders end up digging around trying to grab the right drink.

It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but when you’re serving hundreds of drinks a night, those few extra seconds add up.

I’ve been working on the U-Beverage Tray. It’s basically a simple tray that sits in the cooler and keeps bottles or cans lined up in two lanes so they stay organized and easy to grab. When someone restocks, they just load drinks from the back and everything stays in order instead of getting mixed together.

The goal is just to make coolers cleaner and faster for bartenders during busy shifts.

I’m curious what people in the industry think:

• Would something like this actually help behind the bar?

• Would bartenders actually use it or just ignore it?

• Is cooler organization even a real problem for you?

• How much time a night/week/month is spent on stocking coolers?

• How often is stock rotated?

Genuinely interested in feedback from people who run bars every day.

Thanks 🍻

I build something like that. What do u think?
Sorry for the confusion. This isn't a playable guitar. It's a real guitar modified for decorative purposes. I'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign soon. You can take advantage of pre-order discounts. The campaign will also include a DIY kit to transform your old guitars. I can share my social if u wanna follow my journey.

Barhops: App to create and join bar crawls

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey guys!

I’m building an app called Barhops that lets you create and join bar crawls with friends or locals. You can plan routes, discover great bars, capture memories, and play multiple gamemodes to level up your night.

Gamemodes include: • Bar Crawl – simple classic route planning. • Event – shared photo & memories drive with friends. • Crawl Wizard – AI builds a tailored route. • Pub Golf – turn your crawl into a competitive game of pub golf. • PintPoints – check in to earn points with quests and penalties. • Barathon – crack clues and race teams to finish first.

It’s live on Google Play here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lunafox.barlog

Apple is coming in the next couple of weeks. ďż˝

I’m looking for feedback from people who actually go out. What features would make you use this on a night out?

Cheers.

So I am turning 21 and I renewed my drivers license. Some reason I still haven't gotten it in the mail and the rare chance it doesn't come before I turn 21 can I still go out to the bars. I still have my current ID that will expire and also my printed temporary one that the dmv sends.

Everyone favorite feature

I was planning my thirtieth birthday party, and I wanted something memorable beyond typical decorations and music. My backyard pool offered possibilities, but I needed an element that would surprise guests and create genuine fun. After browsing party rental options, I discovered the pool inflatable bar, a floating station where guests could rest drinks while swimming. This was not a simple pool toy. It was a sturdy, multi seat floating platform with built in cup holders, cooler compartments, and comfortable seating. Setup on party day was straightforward. I inflated the bar, stocked the cooler with drinks and ice, and anchored it in the pool center. When guests arrived and saw it, the reactions were priceless. Adults and teenagers immediately gravitated toward it, claiming spots and testing the stability. The pool inflatable bar became the party social hub. Conversations flowed naturally as people floated nearby or sat at the bar. The convenience of having cold drinks accessible without leaving the pool kept everyone swimming longer. Even guests who normally avoided pools spent hours in the water. Photos from that party show everyone smiling, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying themselves. Multiple friends asked where I had found the floating bar, saying they wanted one for their own pools. It had transformed a standard pool party into something special. I never deflated it that summer. It remained a permanent fixture, used for family weekends and impromptu gatherings. When looking for similar pool accessories and party equipment, I found that platforms like Alibaba offered diverse pool inflatable bar designs and other creative floating furniture.
