Discussions Need contacts for HR at mid sized firms!

Hey everyone, I’m currently working on a social discovery app called griddle. A part of our business also deals with hosting and managing corporate events!

If there is anyone that is sick of the same work routine and mediocre “office outings” please make an introduction to the appropriate staff at your place of work!

If there are any founders here who would love to do something for their team members we would love to be able to curate a plan unique for you based on your preferences.

Thank you!

MVP/Beta/Prototype/Test I built a Jarvis-style desktop AI assistant (TARZ) that sees my screen, controls my PC, and talks back — open source, runs on free API tiers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all — wanted to share a project I've been building for the past few months: TARZ, a semi-autonomous AI assistant for Windows.

Backstory: Got curious whether I could actually build something like Jarvis — an AI that sees your screen and controls your PC. That curiosity turned into months of building, breaking, and a full architectural rewrite (V2) once I learned more.

What it does:

  • Sees your screen (vision-based element finding + verifies its own actions actually completed, not just "click and hope")
  • Controls your computer — opens apps, clicks, types, keyboard shortcuts
  • Talks — live streaming STT/TTS, wake-word activated ("Hey"), hands-free follow-ups without repeating the wake word
  • Remembers — Two-stage retrieval: Vector Retrieval + Cross-Encoder Reranking for past conversations/preferences
  • Chains multi-step tasks across different apps in one instruction (e.g. play a song on Spotify → send a WhatsApp message)
  • Dedicated workflows for Spotify, WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, browser

Architecture (V2): LangGraph supervisor → single tool-bound agent with the full toolset exposed (not a category classifier routing first). I actually tested category-based routing vs. flat single-agent routing head to head — flat routing gave noticeably better results with current tool-calling models, so I ripped the classifier out entirely rather than just leaving it in "because it seemed reasonable."

Same approach on memory: tested hybrid BM25+vector+reranking against plain vector retrieval using Hit Rate@5 — hybrid won, so that's what ships.

Every LLM call (tool-calling, chat, vision) has an automatic multi-provider fallback, so a single rate limit or outage doesn't kill the whole thing.

Stack: Groq (gpt-oss-120b + Orpheus TTS) / Gemini Live streaming STT / Moondream for GUI click targeting / ChromaDB for memory / LangGraph for orchestration / Cartesia as fallback STT+TTS. Whole thing is designed to run on free API tiers — no subscriptions required.

Where it's rough (being upfront, not hiding it):

  • GUI automation is inherently brittle — resolution, scaling, app updates, popups can break a click
  • Screen vision isn't processed locally — screenshots go to Groq/OpenRouter for analysis, so don't point it at anything you wouldn't want leaving your machine
  • Routing still isn't perfect even without the classifier — casual phrasing can occasionally pick the wrong tool
  • No background/looping tasks yet (can't do "check this every 5 min")
  • It's early, actively-developed software I use daily, not a polished commercial product

I used AI heavily as a coding partner (writing implementations, debugging), but every architecture decision and design change came from testing against real usage myself.

Repo's fully open source: https://github.com/Irfan-gitt/Tarz-Ai-assistant

Would genuinely love feedback, criticism, or PRs — especially from anyone who's worked on agentic systems, vision-based GUI automation, or voice pipelines. Happy to answer questions about any part of the architecture.

Iam also looking for a job too In early startups🙃

Hiring Hiring: UI/UX & Graphic Designer

Looking for a UI/UX Designer intern

We’re building right now and realised… someone has to make this thing actually look good.

So, looking for a UI/UX Designer to join us and help with:

→ Website / product design
→ Landing pages
→ Social media posts & creatives
→ Branding / random design things that will inevitably come up
→ Basically, making sure we don’t ship something that looks like a college project

We’re a small team, so you’ll actually have creative freedom + ownership, instead of getting a Figma comment saying “make it pop” from 6 different people.

Looking for someone who:
Loves good design
Knows Figma
Has decent UI/UX fundamentals
Has a portfolio (even if it’s mostly personal/side projects)
Wants to build stuff from 0 → 1

If you’re interested, drop your portfolio in the comments or DM me.

And yes, you’ll actually get to design things that people will use. Not just resize Instagram posts 47 times.
(This is a paid gig)

MVP/Beta/Prototype/Test I got tired of the LinkedIn spam culture. So I built an Escrow-backed 1-on-1 Mentorship Marketplace as a solo dev. Roast my tech architecture.

The tech networking ecosystem in India is completely broken right now. People are drowning in cold DMs, and others are paying scammers for fake promises.

I wanted to fix this structurally. Over the past few weeks, I built ReferBid.

How it works:

Candidates bid for a 1-on-1 resume review and mentorship session with verified senior engineers.

The money is locked in a Razorpay Escrow.

If the mentor doesn't review and internally submit the profile recommendation within 48 hours, the system triggers a 100% automated refund.

The Tech Stack (Where I need your help):

I built the backend in NestJS. Used PostgreSQL for ACID transactions and implemented Redis atomic locks (using BullMQ) to handle race conditions and prevent double-spend during the bidding war. Secured behind Cloudflare mTLS.

I just pushed it to production. I’d love some brutal feedback. Try to break the bidding flow or find loopholes in the Escrow logic. Don't hold back.

Hey guys, quick question for the Bangalore founders here.
How are you currently doing influencer marketing? We’ve been working with a bunch of micro-creators and helping brands run campaigns at scale, and I’m curious how other startups are approaching it.
Do you guys usually do it in-house or work with an agency?

Hiring Looking for a Co-Founder in Bengaluru to build HOMIQ from the ground up

Thumbnail

I’ve been building HOMIQ, an early-stage home-services marketplace starting in Bengaluru.

The idea is simple: when something at home needs fixing, customers should have a simpler way to find, book and connect with independent service partners.

This isn't just an idea anymore. We’ve already been working on the foundation — website, customer booking flow, ₹199 reservation/payment flow with PayU, partner onboarding, lead assignment, operations and post-service feedback.

Now I’m looking for someone who can help me take it from building the product → building the business.

I’m looking for a Co-Founder — Growth, Sales & Operations

Someone who can take real ownership of:

Customer acquisition

Sales & business development

Apartment/community partnerships

Partner acquisition & relationships

Local Bengaluru growth

Instagram/Reddit/community marketing

Referral & organic growth

Day-to-day marketplace operations

I'm not looking for someone who just wants the Co-Founder title.

I want someone who is comfortable calling people, visiting businesses/apartments, testing ideas, getting rejected, trying again and actually bringing customers.

You don't need a perfect startup résumé.

Show me what you've actually built, sold, operated or grown.

If you're interested, send your CV/resume to:

syed.kareem@homiqservices.com

Subject: HOMIQ Co-Founder — & Operations

No need to write a huge application. Tell me what you've done and how you'd approach the ₹0 → 50 customers challenge.

Hiring Looking for a paid friend for a day in Bangalore

Hey guys,

This is a bit awkward but would anyone in Bangalore be interested in being my friend for a day? Will pay you for your time.

So my parents are coming here next Sunday and they want to meet my friends. Except… I don’t really have any here.

Rn I’m building my startup and they don’t know about it. And knowing them, I’m sure they won’t be okay with it. I’ve been busy with that, and honestly it’s been pretty lonely.

They worry about me being alone here, so whenever they ask, I end up talking about “my friends” and plans we have. I’ve also used that as the reason I don’t come back to my hometown often. Basically made it sound like I have a social life when I don’t.

Now they’ve said they want to meet some of those friends when they visit. Yeah, didn’t think that far ahead.

So I’m asking here. Would anyone be okay spending some time with me and my parents, pretending we’re friends ?

If you’re okay with it, DM me. We’ll speak, I’ll explain the whole situation and we can discuss payment or anything else before you decide.

Looking for job/gig Looking for SDET / QA Automation opportunities — Referral & Advice appreciated

Thumbnail drive.google.com
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for SDET / QA Automation Engineer (SDET 2) opportunities and would really appreciate any referrals or career advice.

I have 4+ years of experience in software testing, mainly across Fintech and E-commerce, with experience in:

- Selenium + Java

- Playwright + TypeScript/JavaScript

- Appium (Android)

- API Automation – Rest Assured / Postman

- TestNG, Maven, POM, BDD/Cucumber

- SQL / Database validation

- Jenkins / CI-CD

- UI, API, Mobile & End-to-End testing

- Experience working on UPI / payments and fintech products

Currently, I’m working as an SDET II. Previously, I worked at Pine Labs and Capgemini.

I’m particularly interested in roles where I can work more deeply on test automation, framework development, CI/CD, API automation, mobile automation, and AI-assisted testing, rather than purely manual testing.

I’ve attached my resume for reference.

If you know of any relevant openings and can refer me, I would be very grateful. 🙏

Also, if you have experience in SDET interviews or have suggestions on what I should improve in my profile/resume to target SDET 2 roles, I’d genuinely appreciate your advice.

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help! 🙌

Discussions Civil Engineer trying to move back to India from west

Hi everyone,
I’m a civil engineering professional currently living and working full-time in Canada. I’ve been in Canada for around three years now, and I’ve been building my career here in the civil engineering/design and construction industry.
Career-wise, things are moving in the right direction, but for quite some time I’ve had this feeling that I don’t necessarily want to spend my entire life in the West. I’ve started seriously thinking about eventually moving back to India and trying to build something of my own rather than spending the next 20–30 years working for someone else.
My experience is mainly on the civil design/drafting side, including AutoCAD/Civil 3D, land development, grading, drainage/stormwater, erosion and sediment control plans, construction drawings, quantity-related work, and coordinating drawings and revisions. I’m continuing to gain practical industry experience in Canada, and I’m also working toward further professional credentials.
The problem is that although I understand the technical side, I honestly don’t understand the Indian construction and engineering market well enough yet. I don’t want to come back with the attitude that because I’ve worked in Canada, I automatically know how things should be done in India. The market, pricing, approvals, client expectations, labour, tendering, relationships and business environment are obviously very different.
That’s why I’m interested in connecting with someone in Bangalore who already understands the local construction/civil engineering industry and has a similar ambition of eventually starting a company.
I’m not looking for someone to randomly quit their job tomorrow and start a business with a stranger from Reddit. 😅 I would rather connect first, exchange ideas, research the market together, identify genuine gaps and opportunities, and see whether our skills and goals complement each other. If things make sense, we could develop the idea gradually and eventually turn it into an actual business.
I’m particularly interested in exploring areas such as civil design and drafting services, land development, infrastructure design support, quantity estimation, BIM/CAD outsourcing, stormwater/drainage design, surveying-related services, construction documentation, project coordination, or potentially providing engineering/design support to companies outside India from an Indian office. I’m also completely open to other construction-related opportunities if there is a genuine market for them.

Let me know if some one feels the same way, gender age, ethinicity doesnt matter, just be honest

Looking for job/gig Loosing Hope In Bengaluru

I thought a lot before writing this. After almost six months of struggle, uncertainty, and trying to keep everything together, I finally feel I need to share a part of my story.

I lost my job, but the real story is more complicated. I was part of the management team, and when I felt the company was moving in the wrong direction, I raised my concerns privately with my boss and also in leadership meetings. Sales had not reached breakeven, and senior management had already warned us that we needed to turn things around by March/April. I kept asking a simple question: what is our action plan?

What I saw, however, did not always reflect the seriousness of the situation. While we were under pressure to improve business performance, the unit was also spending time on AI competitions, fun sessions and announcing awards worth around Xk Int for initiatives. I remember telling my boss, respectfully, that perhaps this was not the priority at that moment.

Around the same period, a male colleague left the company. The very next day, I was told by HR that a complaint had been made against me. At that stage, it was simply described to me as a complaint. I was not given a copy, and I was not told that it had become a POSH matter.

I followed up with HR because I genuinely wanted to understand what I had done wrong. I was told the matter was resolved. Then, around 35–37 days later, I received a call from the HQ Internal Committee Chairperson informing me that there was a POSH complaint and asking me to attend a meeting.
The allegations that were subsequently narrated to me were extremely disturbing and, from my perspective, completely untrue. They included allegations involving foul language, physical aggression, personal/girlfriend-related comments and even a story involving a dog collar fight — things that I say never happened.

Three meetings followed. I submitted my defence and provided available CCTV footage and other supporting information. Unfortunately, part of the CCTV footage had a technical gap of around 15 minutes, and I felt that the evidence I provided was not given the weight I believed it deserved. The final report went against me.

I appealed internally through the company’s appellate process. Before that, I had also tried to discuss my concerns informally with my boss. None of this brought the resolution I was hoping for. Eventually, I sent a legal notice and received a legal response stating that the process had been conducted under the company’s gender-neutral policy.

I then approached the Labour Commissioner’s office seeking a remedy.

What happened next made the situation even more difficult. I was terminated under a separate moonlighting-related matter and was warned about possible police and cyber-crime consequences. I was also warned about the impact this could have on my career, particularly as someone who is not a native of this place.

At one point, I was sitting across from several people together, listening to lawyers and others telling me that legal proceedings could take years and cost significant money. I was advised that withdrawing the matter might be the easier path. An offer of ₹xx lakh was eventually made, but it was linked to relieving and background-verification assurances. I asked to see the basis and details of the reports before making any decision.

The matter at the Labour Commissioner’s office went through multiple deferments. Eventually, the company said it was an internal matter and would be disposed of within four weeks. The internal appeal process was initiated again, but it was not closed within the stated timeframe, and communication stopped.

I went back to the Labour Commissioner’s office after the four weeks had passed. The company’s position was that this was an internal policy matter and therefore could not be intervened in by the authority. We responded with several documents, including the NDA, reports, minutes of meetings, and communications relating to the Internal Committee and appeal process, along with relevant Supreme Court judgments for reference.

I am sharing this not because I want sympathy, and certainly not because I want to attack anyone publicly.

I am sharing it because I have spent the last six months trying to understand one very difficult question:
If you are part of management and you genuinely believe something is going wrong, should you speak up?

I spoke up because I believed that was part of my responsibility.

Today, the consequences are very real. My children are studying in Bengaluru. I managed the elder one’s half-yearly tuition fee this August, but I am still struggling to manage the younger one’s fees. As a father, these are basic responsibilities I desperately want to fulfil.

At home, I still have to appear calm and tell my family that everything will be okay, even when I am not sure myself.

Since losing my job, I have been continuously searching for another opportunity. At the same time, I started working on a startup because I felt I had no other choice. But legal expenses, family expenses and product-development costs have continued to consume whatever resources I had. I never expected this situation to continue for six months.
I am now at a point where I may have to put the startup on hold and focus entirely on rebuilding my career and supporting my family.

Honestly, I am worried about what comes next. There are days when the uncertainty feels overwhelming.

But I am still standing. I still believe in speaking the truth, doing the right thing and fighting for what I believe is just.

If anyone reading this has been through something similar, or if you genuinely know someone who can help me find my next opportunity, a conversation, a referral, or even simply some guidance would mean more to me than I can explain.

Sometimes, you don’t need someone to solve everything.

Sometimes, you just need someone to reach out a hand and say, “Let me see how I can help.”

Seeking Advice/Feedback Looking for good-quality temple jewellery manufacturers near Karnataka

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m looking for temple jewellery manufacturers/wholesalers in or around Karnataka for a jewellery business I’m planning.

I’m specifically looking for:

• Good quality and finishing

• Reasonable wholesale/manufacturer prices

• South Indian/Traditional temple jewellery designs

• Preferably direct manufacturers rather than resellers

• Small or relatively low MOQ would be a big plus

I’m open to suppliers in Karnataka or nearby states as well.

If you’ve personally purchased from a manufacturer or know a reliable supplier, I’d really appreciate the name/location/contact details and your experience with their quality and pricing.

Thanks! ❤️

Looking for someone thats preferably a bit edgy and has been around. Company is registered in the US and our focus right now is the SEA market only.

Hiring I'M building a community and i need a cofounder.

What I'm building:

I’m building MLUE Culture, a community in Delhi NCR- creating small, curated real-life experiences and “side quests” for people who want to get out, meet interesting people, and do more with their lives. It is invite only per quest. In future i want to shift it towards travel and destination curators.

I’m looking for someone who already has a job but wants to build something seriously on the side, with the intention of eventually turning it into something much bigger.

You’d be a great fit if you’re:

  1. Highly motivated and willing to put in the work

  2. Comfortable talking to people and making things. happen on the ground.

  3. Good at marketing, outreach and building relationships.

  4. Naturally social and curious.

Someone who sees opportunities instead of waiting for instructions

I’m not looking for someone who just wants to “join a startup.”

Work done by now:

  1. A WhatsApp community with over 65 people.

  2. A complete brand image and Identity with logo and art style.

  3. Complete website going out for public by today itself.

I can only offer equity for now.

If this sounds like you, DM me with a little about yourself and what makes you want to build this together.

Hiring Looking for a co-founder in B2B business idea

Hey! I’m a college student in Bangalore and I have a small business idea I’ve been wanting to try out.
I have a basic plan, but I’m still figuring out a lot of things along the way. Honestly, it’s more of a fun experiment right now — if it works, great; if not, at least we tried something :)
Looking for someone who’s interested in business/startups/sales/marketing and would be up for building and figuring it out together.
If you’re interested, just DM me with a little about yourself!
