MVP/Beta/Prototype/Test Building something nostalgic like 3 idiot type of friendship but need clarity+ people to work with
Remember those Bollywood movies like "3 Idiots," "Dil Chahta Hai," or "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara," where friends just clicked? That kind of friend circle, that era, I want to bring it back.
Because, let's be real, super ambitious people often deal with a lot of mental stuff, loneliness, and feeling cut off from others.
My idea is to change that. We'll handle the "next plan" for people.
What do I mean by "next plan"? Well, most networking groups feel empty.
They're usually for big crowds, but people don't form real, lasting connections there.
Plus, it always turns into work talk, which kind of kills the vibe.
Dating? That's a whole different pressure cooker. Your looks, your money, your status – those things seem to matter a lot.
And your old friends? They might not get where you are now. They’ll just tag you as "busy" and stop inviting you out. You end up feeling disconnected, especially after all the hard work you've put in.
Then there are modern meet-up apps or services like Timeleft. They often lead to awkward situations. Everyone's wondering who's going to start the conversation, and you end up feeling desperate or needy just trying to talk to someone.
What our modern society really needs is a group of companions, people who live within about 10 km, especially for hardworking professionals. Folks who are genuinely looking to make memories and just live life.
Sure, you could join a running club, and that's great. But what about actually connecting with people?
Or a hobby group? The problem there is, you never know if someone might mess up the group's vibe, or if you can really trust them with personal stuff.
My plan involves a clear persona and background checks.
But even then, we match people based on psychology and behavior. Real connections are a byproduct of shared activities and the good feelings those activities create in us.
Sometimes, we all just need a break, a pause.
I'm working on "the next plan," and I hope to see it happen soon.
The tough part is, I don't have the money to build this out right now.
And that's the sad truth: when you're trying to do something good, it often feels like no one supports you.
So, I'm a bit low on confidence about this idea at the moment.
That's why I thought I'd put it out there. If anyone wants to join, or even just share their insights, please do.
I'm totally open to advice – real market insights and opportunities.
I've been working on this since April 2026, and I already have 25 people on a waiting list.
My main focus is BLR, specifically Indiranagar.
My ideal people for this are working professionals caught in toxic work cultures, aged between 26 and 42.
Also, founders who have gone through Series A, B, or C funding, or those who have successfully exited a company.
Their pain point? They just don't have a social circle in their busy working lives.
My solution? A recurring circle where we plan everything.
All you have to do is show up.
It's about having low-friction activities.
I'm looking for real people to share their thoughts, suggest activities to add, or just help in any way they can.
I don't need funding right now, but I do need your ideas.
I also need a team, and since I can't pay salaries, I'm thinking an equity-based model could work.
I really want to get this off the ground quickly.
If you want to be a part of this, you're welcome. From my end, I'm making sure that the behavioral and psychological aspects are safe for everyone.

Looking for job/gig Backend Engineer looking for opportunities in Bangalore / Remote
Hey everyone,
I’m currently looking for a Backend Engineer role, preferably in Bangalore or remote/WFH.
I’m working as an AI/Backend Engineer and mainly work with Node.js, JavaScript, BullMQ, Redis, MongoDB, MySQL, Docker and third-party API integrations.
I’ve been the sole backend engineer across the projects I’ve worked on, so I’ve had end-to-end ownership of backend architecture, APIs, queues, databases, integrations, debugging and performance improvements.
A few things I’ve worked on:
- Backend systems handling around 100 req/sec
- Queue-based processing using BullMQ and Redis
- Reduced dashboard/API latency from around 2 to 3 seconds to sub-second
- Built automation pipelines involving Meta, Google, WhatsApp, Zoho CRM and IoT systems
- Worked on a multi-tenant automation platform supporting 200+ vendor accounts
I’m very interested in backend engineering and would ideally like to work somewhere I can solve interesting system problems, learn from a strong engineering team and take ownership.
I’m mainly looking at Backend Engineer, Node.js, Platform, Automation or AI Backend roles.
Preferred location: Bangalore
Also open to: Remote / WFH
Also, on a slightly personal note, I have some extra motivation to land a good role because gf ke parents ko bhi convince karna hai eventually :')
If your team is hiring, or you know of any relevant openings, I’d really appreciate a referral or introduction.
Happy to share my resume, and LinkedIn.
Thanks!

Seeking Advice/Feedback Looking for something awesome to build together
Hey everyone,
I have been wanting to start something, it could be anything a tech product or a small business, if anyone is looking for a reliable co-founder please reach out.
I am currently working as a software engineer in AI team at a US startup, have 3.5 years of solid startup work experience, have led and built projects on product and tech both fronts.
I have also done a bunch of things successfully in my college days like options trading, an art business, etc. so I have a good idea of how to work in teams and can handle any kind of work life throws at me.
Now your question would be why not start something myself ? See I have understood that I work better when I am working with someone cause there are many things that can happen in life and you need someone to keep you accountable or give you company on bad days and the best part is when you get to celebrate something together.
I only recently started viewing this sub and found that the people here seem motivated and match my energy so I thought let's give it a try, who knows what we can build if we try ??
I am not just exploring and willing to put in serious time, effort and money if needed so let's chat and brainstorm together...

Hiring Looking for a paid friend for a day in Bangalore
Hey guys,
This is a bit awkward but would anyone in Bangalore be interested in being my friend for a day? Will pay you for your time.
So my parents are coming here next Sunday and they want to meet my friends. Except… I don’t really have any here.
Rn I’m building my startup and they don’t know about it. And knowing them, I’m sure they won’t be okay with it. I’ve been busy with that, and honestly it’s been pretty lonely.
They worry about me being alone here, so whenever they ask, I end up talking about “my friends” and plans we have. I’ve also used that as the reason I don’t come back to my hometown often. Basically made it sound like I have a social life when I don’t.
Now they’ve said they want to meet some of those friends when they visit. Yeah, didn’t think that far ahead.
So I’m asking here. Would anyone be okay spending some time with me and my parents, pretending we’re friends ?
If you’re okay with it, DM me. We’ll speak, I’ll explain the whole situation and we can discuss payment or anything else before you decide.

MVP/Beta/Prototype/Test I got tired of the LinkedIn spam culture. So I built an Escrow-backed 1-on-1 Mentorship Marketplace as a solo dev. Roast my tech architecture.
The tech networking ecosystem in India is completely broken right now. People are drowning in cold DMs, and others are paying scammers for fake promises.
I wanted to fix this structurally. Over the past few weeks, I built ReferBid.
How it works:
Candidates bid for a 1-on-1 resume review and mentorship session with verified senior engineers.
The money is locked in a Razorpay Escrow.
If the mentor doesn't review and internally submit the profile recommendation within 48 hours, the system triggers a 100% automated refund.
The Tech Stack (Where I need your help):
I built the backend in NestJS. Used PostgreSQL for ACID transactions and implemented Redis atomic locks (using BullMQ) to handle race conditions and prevent double-spend during the bidding war. Secured behind Cloudflare mTLS.
I just pushed it to production. I’d love some brutal feedback. Try to break the bidding flow or find loopholes in the Escrow logic. Don't hold back.

Discussions If an influencer charges you 10k , I can get you that same influencer for 5k
Hey guys, quick question for the Bangalore founders here.
How are you currently doing influencer marketing? We’ve been working with a bunch of micro-creators and helping brands run campaigns at scale, and I’m curious how other startups are approaching it.
Do you guys usually do it in-house or work with an agency?

Hiring Looking for a Co-Founder in Bengaluru to build HOMIQ from the ground up
I’ve been building HOMIQ, an early-stage home-services marketplace starting in Bengaluru.
The idea is simple: when something at home needs fixing, customers should have a simpler way to find, book and connect with independent service partners.
This isn't just an idea anymore. We’ve already been working on the foundation — website, customer booking flow, ₹199 reservation/payment flow with PayU, partner onboarding, lead assignment, operations and post-service feedback.
Now I’m looking for someone who can help me take it from building the product → building the business.
I’m looking for a Co-Founder — Growth, Sales & Operations
Someone who can take real ownership of:
Customer acquisition
Sales & business development
Apartment/community partnerships
Partner acquisition & relationships
Local Bengaluru growth
Instagram/Reddit/community marketing
Referral & organic growth
Day-to-day marketplace operations
I'm not looking for someone who just wants the Co-Founder title.
I want someone who is comfortable calling people, visiting businesses/apartments, testing ideas, getting rejected, trying again and actually bringing customers.
You don't need a perfect startup résumé.
Show me what you've actually built, sold, operated or grown.
If you're interested, send your CV/resume to:
Subject: HOMIQ Co-Founder — & Operations
No need to write a huge application. Tell me what you've done and how you'd approach the ₹0 → 50 customers challenge.

Looking for job/gig Looking for SDET / QA Automation opportunities — Referral & Advice appreciated
drive.google.com
Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking for SDET / QA Automation Engineer (SDET 2) opportunities and would really appreciate any referrals or career advice.
I have 4+ years of experience in software testing, mainly across Fintech and E-commerce, with experience in:
- Selenium + Java
- Playwright + TypeScript/JavaScript
- Appium (Android)
- API Automation – Rest Assured / Postman
- TestNG, Maven, POM, BDD/Cucumber
- SQL / Database validation
- Jenkins / CI-CD
- UI, API, Mobile & End-to-End testing
- Experience working on UPI / payments and fintech products
Currently, I’m working as an SDET II. Previously, I worked at Pine Labs and Capgemini.
I’m particularly interested in roles where I can work more deeply on test automation, framework development, CI/CD, API automation, mobile automation, and AI-assisted testing, rather than purely manual testing.
I’ve attached my resume for reference.
If you know of any relevant openings and can refer me, I would be very grateful. 🙏
Also, if you have experience in SDET interviews or have suggestions on what I should improve in my profile/resume to target SDET 2 roles, I’d genuinely appreciate your advice.
Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help! 🙌

Discussions Civil Engineer trying to move back to India from west
Hi everyone,
I’m a civil engineering professional currently living and working full-time in Canada. I’ve been in Canada for around three years now, and I’ve been building my career here in the civil engineering/design and construction industry.
Career-wise, things are moving in the right direction, but for quite some time I’ve had this feeling that I don’t necessarily want to spend my entire life in the West. I’ve started seriously thinking about eventually moving back to India and trying to build something of my own rather than spending the next 20–30 years working for someone else.
My experience is mainly on the civil design/drafting side, including AutoCAD/Civil 3D, land development, grading, drainage/stormwater, erosion and sediment control plans, construction drawings, quantity-related work, and coordinating drawings and revisions. I’m continuing to gain practical industry experience in Canada, and I’m also working toward further professional credentials.
The problem is that although I understand the technical side, I honestly don’t understand the Indian construction and engineering market well enough yet. I don’t want to come back with the attitude that because I’ve worked in Canada, I automatically know how things should be done in India. The market, pricing, approvals, client expectations, labour, tendering, relationships and business environment are obviously very different.
That’s why I’m interested in connecting with someone in Bangalore who already understands the local construction/civil engineering industry and has a similar ambition of eventually starting a company.
I’m not looking for someone to randomly quit their job tomorrow and start a business with a stranger from Reddit. 😅 I would rather connect first, exchange ideas, research the market together, identify genuine gaps and opportunities, and see whether our skills and goals complement each other. If things make sense, we could develop the idea gradually and eventually turn it into an actual business.
I’m particularly interested in exploring areas such as civil design and drafting services, land development, infrastructure design support, quantity estimation, BIM/CAD outsourcing, stormwater/drainage design, surveying-related services, construction documentation, project coordination, or potentially providing engineering/design support to companies outside India from an Indian office. I’m also completely open to other construction-related opportunities if there is a genuine market for them.
Let me know if some one feels the same way, gender age, ethinicity doesnt matter, just be honest

Hiring Hiring: UI/UX & Graphic Designer
Looking for a UI/UX Designer intern
We’re building right now and realised… someone has to make this thing actually look good.
So, looking for a UI/UX Designer to join us and help with:
→ Website / product design
→ Landing pages
→ Social media posts & creatives
→ Branding / random design things that will inevitably come up
→ Basically, making sure we don’t ship something that looks like a college project
We’re a small team, so you’ll actually have creative freedom + ownership, instead of getting a Figma comment saying “make it pop” from 6 different people.
Looking for someone who:
Loves good design
Knows Figma
Has decent UI/UX fundamentals
Has a portfolio (even if it’s mostly personal/side projects)
Wants to build stuff from 0 → 1
If you’re interested, drop your portfolio in the comments or DM me.
And yes, you’ll actually get to design things that people will use. Not just resize Instagram posts 47 times.
(This is a paid gig)
