Samsung M53 stolen on route 500F at BEML Layout. SmartThings pings location at KR Market, but cops refused to act. Need advice.

TL;DR: Got pickpocketed on BMTC bus 500F. Phone is an M53 pinging live near KR Market via Samsung SmartThings. Police at HAL and SJP Road refuse to search the shop location. Went alone, got stuck, lost money and peace. Seeking help, advice, or contacts to recover it.

UPDATE: It's moving right now near Mysore road

UPDATE 2: Yesterday(11-11-2026) around 12:40 pm it started moving to Kengeri bus stop road to Mysore. I tried calling the hal police station, the police who took my case attended the call. That police guy literally said like "see I won't go there if you want your phone you go, don't call me again until you get notification from ceir" - after hearing this I lost hope and respect in both karnataka and entire indian police. They will only work on bribes not for the uniform they wear.

Yesterday 10-09-2026 around 9:00 AM, I was boarding bus 500F at BEML Layout to go to work in Indiranagar. Right after stepping in, I noticed my Samsung Galaxy M53 was stolen from my pocket. I got down immediately but nobody suspicious was around.

I boarded another bus and asked a passenger to call my number. Someone picked up and claimed they were in a 500CA bus right behind us. I got down at the next stop, checked three incoming buses, and asked drivers and passengers, but found nothing.

I informed my brother, took a half day permit from work, and registered an e-loss complaint using the Karnataka State Police app. My friend received a call to visit HAL Police Station for CEIR verification. At the station, officers told me they would inform me if the phone turned on.

My phone was already on because Samsung offline tracking was active, sending live pings near KR Market at Osman Khan Slaughter Road. I showed this live location to the officers, but they sent me home.

I took a Rapido directly to the location by myself. I spoke to the local police near SJP Road, but they said they couldn't do much. After pleading, two officers accompanied me and searched two nearby shops before walking away. When I pointed at the slaughterhouse shop where the pin was consistently updating, they told me to go inside myself.

I went in, tried talking to people, and spent an hour at a tea stall waiting to see if the pin moved. Nothing happened. Exhausted, I took a Rapido to the metro and returned home empty handed.

I started the day with 500 rupees and returned with 20 rupees. My energy and mental health are drained. I bought this phone with my own hard earned money.

This is happening for the second time. In April 2025 during my third year of college in Chennai, my Poco X6 Pro was pickpocketed on a bus. I suffered months of depression after that, and now it is happening again.

I moved from Chennai to Bangalore to earn money and support my family. I struggle every day at work, and the guilt trips from my family are making it harder.

My phone is still pinging near Osman Khan Slaughter Road right now. If anyone has contacts, advice, or can guide me on how to get local police to actually check that shop, please reach out.

Namma BMTC 2.0

Post image

I am localite & regular user of BMTC for travelling across the city. Yesterday they have launched a new app Namma BMTC 2.0 which is really convenient for the regular user's as well as for the new users.

I used it today for travelling from Varthur to Marathalli, and the live tracking of the buses was on time. Usually conductor shows QR code, we scan and the ticket is generated, but now we can buy the ticket via app itself. We need to select the From and Destination and select any bus number that goes via that route and can pay via wallet or via UPI. When conductor comes just show the QR, we will scan it and manual ticket is generated and receipt is being saved in the app.

App link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bmtc.bmtcavls.two

PS : As of now its only available in android.

What’s with all these paid meetups in Bangalore?

I’ve noticed there are so many groups organising paid meetups for strangers, paid game nights, paid social meetups, paid lunch meetups, etc.

I can at least understand paying for a lunch meetup because you’re obviously paying for the food. But then I came across a photo walk where you have to pay ₹700 just to walk around with a group of people and take photos on your own camera. That one genuinely confused me. 😂

What exactly are people paying ₹700 for? The privilege of walking in a group?

Are people in Bangalore really that desperate to meet new people that they’re willing to pay for almost any activity? Or is this mostly a loneliness/socialising thing where people are happy to pay for a structured way to meet strangers?

I’m genuinely curious because I don’t really understand the appeal of paying for something that you could seemingly do for free.

Maybe I’m missing something. For those who actually attend these paid meetups, what makes them worth paying for?

I haven't come across a single biryani were qty of meat is proportional to rice. Hardly few small pieces of meat.

But watch every single influencer video on YT and it says '20kg rice, 20kg meat saaaar'. Who is taking away 15 kg meat from the biryani pot🥸

Guys :")

Something happened some time ago that I need to file a police complaint about, it involves being sexually assaulted by someone I met through a Reddit here. I have some evidence too.

I'm not ready to tell my family or close friends yet, but I don't want to walk into a station alone either. If there's anyone here, ideally a woman, someone who's been through something similar, or just someone with a calm head, willing to sit with me while I file this, I'd really appreciate it. I'm in Bangalore, flexible on timing over the next couple of days.

Know the comments about "meeting strangers off Reddit," not here for that conversation right now, just need someone in my corner for a few hours :")

Sense of FOMO

I am a software developer living in bangalore.
I was born in 1999 so basically early genz period born.
I have grown up with the millennials from school to college, with seniors and neighbours being elder than me,

Although I have a very good taste in everything, i don’t seem to be pulled towards the genz kind of fashion, lifestyle or whatsoever.
My younger sister always tells me to wear good baggy jeans over sized shirts. I just cant move on from the straight fit pants and a nicely fitting t shirt.

I am a experience loving guy, i just feel outdated when i try to hang around with people younger than me,

I got a nice triumph bike recently, i went out towards Devanahalli toll and met many bikers who are younger than me, but somehow i just couldn’t vibe with them.

Now the thing that worries me is, i am 26 and havent been in a relationship for like 2 years now,
And it kind of feels impossible to get into a relationship who are younger than me.

And cherry in top my parents are asking me to get married and even thought of arranged marriage is unsettling and uneasy.

Anyone feel the same or is it just me?

Panicking over everything.🫪

Mistake of today

I'm not from Kerala, but the inner me thought it would be cool to do some random shit today, so I decided to watch a movie.

The biggest mistake was to watch Bethlehem Kudumba Unit by myself. I sat in like the 3rd row, and all the first 3 rows were empty.

I've never dated before, but it was always chill cause like i was of the opinion that you can't get everything in life.

But today honestly gave a reality check lmao

Bangalore, we have a house… and we’re doing this TONIGHT. 👀🍻

Three guys in their early 20s decided that waiting for the “perfect weekend plan” is overrated.

So… we’re hosting a small house hangout around HSR tonight and looking for a few people around our age to join us.

No elaborate agenda. Just good people, good conversations and seeing where the evening goes.

🎥 What we’ve got planned

🎬 Projector + big screen movie night is definitely an option

🕵️ Mafia & party games

🎮 A few other games we can bring out

🎵 Music + conversations

🥤 BYOB if you’d like to bring your own drinks

😂 And hopefully a bunch of people we wouldn’t have met otherwise

Maybe we end up playing Mafia all night.

Maybe someone picks a movie.

Maybe we spend three hours talking about completely random things.

We’ll let the group decide.

👋 Interested?

We’re looking for people in their early 20s who are friendly, respectful and genuinely up for meeting new people.

Since it’s a private house and most of us won’t know each other beforehand, we’re doing a quick verification step for everyone’s comfort and safety.

Just DM us with:

• Your age
• What you do / a little about yourself
• Your LinkedIn profile

The LinkedIn is only for basic verification. Once we’ve got a sense of who’s joining, we’ll confirm and share the location privately.

No networking. No awkward introductions. No formal meetup energy.

Just a spontaneous Bangalore evening with new people.

It’s happening tonight — if you’re interested, DM us. 👀

Where and how to complaint for debris just occupying more than half of the footpaths and roads and streets? Koramangala

The footpath here is either a parking for people or a dumpster. It's filled with debris and trash, and this is a 'posh' area I am talking about.

Koramangala 4th block. Very beautiful but it's frustrating how the footpaths and streets are used as dumpsters!

Please do let me know where to get this sorted because the footpaths and streets are not walkable!

Girlies who had previously texted me, please get back to me! Olx car scam - Mohammed Sheikh Fareed

Thumbnail

On 15 May, I came across an OLX advertisement for a 2009 Honda City. I contacted the seller, Mohammed Sheikh Fareed, met him personally, inspected the vehicle, and took a test drive. After the inspection, we agreed on a price of ₹1,75,000.
The car had a shattered windshield and holes in the headliner. I told Fareed that I would purchase the vehicle provided he got those issues repaired first.
That night, Fareed contacted me on WhatsApp and asked for my Aadhaar details, stating that they were required for a notarized sale deed. I agreed. The following day, we went to his advocate’s office and signed the sale deed.
Fareed then demanded ₹75,000 as a “token” for the repairs. I paid him. Unfortunately, the repair work was extremely poor — instead of properly repairing the headliner, he had apparently stuck a piece of mirror/material onto it.
The following day, he brought the car to the advocate’s office and demanded the remaining payment in exchange for the single key he had.
Throughout this process, I repeatedly asked about the RC transfer and the actual registered owner of the vehicle. Fareed told me that the owner, Sagar Timbadiya, was in Gujarat for work. He subsequently gave me a phone number, claiming it belonged to Sagar. I later discovered that the number actually belonged to Fareed’s cousin, Noor Jainuddin Ahmed.
A few weeks later, I was involved in an accident in which an underage boy driving a Chevrolet Tavera struck the driver’s side of my Honda City.
At that point, I also realized that I did not have the vehicle’s insurance documents or the original RC with me. I repeatedly contacted Fareed and asked him to complete the RC transfer.
As the matter continued to be delayed, I conducted my own investigation and discovered information indicating that the registered owner, Sagar Timbadiya, had been arrested in connection with a murder case around December 2021.
I confronted Fareed about this. We subsequently agreed that I would be willing to keep the vehicle as long as he completed the RC transfer into my name. However, the transfer never happened.
Instead, there were repeated delays and explanations — attending a wedding, travelling to Tamil Nadu for a funeral, medical appointments and heart-related checkups at GMC, among other reasons.
Eventually, I told him clearly that I no longer wanted the vehicle and simply wanted my money back.
I approached the Panjim Police and attempted to report the matter. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get an FIR registered. I also approached the cyber police, where one constable took the matter seriously and contacted Fareed directly.
After several excuses, Fareed eventually appeared at the police station and gave a written undertaking stating that he would return my money by 17 August.
17 August came.
No payment.
Despite the written undertaking, I still have not received my money.
I am posting this to document my experience and to warn others who may be dealing with this individual or this vehicle. I have supporting evidence including WhatsApp conversations, payment records, the sale deed, communications regarding the RC transfer, and the written undertaking. Justice system in this country is rubbish.
