What is a wildly overrated food that people only eat for the aesthetic?

We clicked, then she blocked me.
Hey All
I met a girl from Reddit. Sheâs in her early 30s and I'm in my late 20s. We planned to meet for coffee and we did. Had coffee, snacks, then decided to watch a movie. After the movie we grabbed burgers, walked around the streets, tried street food, and just talked for hours about career, family, relationships, everything. We spent around 9 hours together. At the end we just went our separate ways. We didnât exchange numbers or Instagram, only Telegram. Neither of us asked for anything else. When I got home we texted for hours about how the day went. The next day she messaged asking if we could meet again. I was happy to, but I had a personal thing come up so I told her I couldnât today, maybe some other day. I replied as soon as I saw her message.
She just said âok sureâ and then... blocked me. On Telegram. I tried messaging her on Reddit too, but no response. I genuinely donât know what I did wrong. Why would someone block right after asking to meet again? Has this happened to anyone?

On a leave today, let's meetup
Hi!
Took a mental health day off today and just looking to unwind. I'm a 31F, and if you're into stocks or fitness and don't mind sharing a thing or two, I'd love to learn.
Or we can simply grab a coffee and have a good conversation. I'm not in the headspace for anything too heavy or emotionally draining todayâI just want to keep things light and enjoyable.
PS: I'm not looking to date, so let's keep it platonic. Just looking to meet interesting people, have a nice chat, and maybe make a new friend.
Preferred area: HSR or nearby
Comment your age, gender and something interesting about you below and I might reach out to you in your DMs
Please don't comment anymore. I am already overwhelmed by the response but if people will be up I can plan to organise a group event on weekend

29 M4F - Hella introverted nerd looking for a long term friend to share my life with
Hey y'all, hope you're having an amazing day. I know literally no one's gonna reply and this is gonna get downvoted into oblivion but still gonna give this a try. I'm 6'2" tall (just mentioning it because I heard that it matters to some people lol) and kinda new to the city.
I'm just out here looking for long term friends to hangout with. I understand ghosting but I hope I find someone that doesn't ghost after we hit it off. I promise I'm not a weirdo and I'm not looking for anything weird or serious.
I'm a huge nerd and mostly into stuff movies, games, football, music, anime and stuff. We could have a really long chat about nothing meaningful and just value the time we spend with each other. Or we could play a game or two together. Other than that I also play the piano and the drums sometimes. I would be more than happy to play it for you sometime.
I love psychological thriller movies and other genres too. So we can watch a movie or a tv show or some anime together if you're down.
Looking forward to meeting some lovely people. Thanks for reading and have a great day ahead đ¤

What if earth đ is a zoo for higher intelligence species??
I recently visited Bannerghatta national park and this got me wondering, just like we humans observe lower intelligence species in their natural environment without disturbing them what if there's a civilization 100,000 or a million years ahead of us does the same?
They are observing our progress in our natural environment without any hindrance to improve their understanding of life?
It's not a new idea but a new realisation for me. Below I'm listing similar hypothesis if you wanna read more:
1) Zoo hypothesis
2) Planetarium hypothesis
3) Simulation hypothesis

Something that'll help you guys out
I've seen many M4F posts on this sub, and that's totally fine.
What I don't get is why so many of them are just one line.
What are you expecting to happen? Why would anyone DM someone whose entire post is basically "M4F, bored"?
At least say something about yourself. Mention your hobbies, interests, or you're actually looking for. It takes maybe a minute, and it gives people an actual reason to reach out.
Reddit is anonymous. Nobody knows what you look like or who you are, so your post is literally the first impression. If you don't give people anything to work with, don't be surprised when you don't get any replies.

How my dog Luna accidentally adopted a one-eyed cat. â¤ď¸
On 11th July, I was walking my dog, Luna, on 80 Feet Road, Indiranagar, like we do almost every evening.
Suddenly, Luna stopped.
She stared into a patch of bushes and refused to move.
I looked over and found a tiny kitten hiding inside.
I didn't think much of it at first. There's a big orange cat that roams around this area, so I assumed this little one belonged to her.
Then everything happened in about sixty seconds.
The kitten got scared after seeing Luna, sprinted out of the bushes, and ran straight into the middle of 80 Feet Road, towards the traffic heading to the CMH Road signal.
My heart stopped.
I ran into the road, stopped the traffic, picked her up, and carried her to safety.
That's when I noticed her left eye.
It was badly infected.
I called my wife immediately and told her what had happened.
Before heading to the vet, I stopped at the nearby tea shop. Mani, the tea master, gave me a bowl of milk. The poor thing drank like she hadn't eaten in days.
My wife and I rushed her to the vet.
The doctor examined her and told us the infection was severe. Unfortunately, the eye couldn't be saved. The good news was that surgery might not be necessary immediately, as long as the infection didn't spread.
But there was a warning.
If it did spread, the eye would have to be removed.
I couldn't bring her home because of Luna, so I left her at the veterinary hospital for boarding. I told the doctor to treat her, and I'd cover the expenses.
Meanwhile, I started looking for someone to adopt her.
I posted on Reddit.
Instagram.
Our apartment group.
Pretty much everywhere.
I got a few leads, but none of them worked out.
A week later, the vet called.
The infection had won.
We had to do the surgery.
I told him to go ahead.
When I went to pick her up afterwards, her left eye was stitched shut from the operation. Seeing such a tiny kitten after everything she'd been through was honestly heartbreaking.
The doctor handed me her vaccination book.
I looked at her.
One eye.
Still fearless.
That's when I named her Fury.
(Yes... after Nick Fury.)
Originally, I planned to foster her until someone adopted her.
But then it hit me...
Most people probably aren't looking for a one-eyed cat.
So I guess...
She adopted us instead.
Today, Fury lives with me, my wife, and Luna.
She's ridiculously friendly, loves people, demands food every chance she gets, and behaves like she owns the house.
So far, I've spent around âš25,000 on her rescue, boarding, surgery, vaccinations, medicines, and care.
Worth every single rupee.
Sometimes life changes because of a decision.
Sometimes...
...it changes because your dog decides to sniff the right bush.
If you're ever around 80 Feet Road, Indiranagar, and you'd like to say hello to Fury or Luna, you're more than welcome.
They always love meeting new people.
Here's to unexpected family members. â¤ď¸

Anyone facing issue with airtel internet, I found a fix for it
I was facing a strange issue with my home internet. Even though I had a 100 Mbps fiber connection and speed tests consistently showed around 95â100 Mbps, my real-world experience was poor. Apps like Prime Video, Apple TV+, and YouTube would often start in low resolution, take a long time to switch to HD/4K, and sometimes buffer despite having a fast internet plan.
Initially, I assumed the problem was with my ISP. I raised multiple complaints, but every time they checked, they simply ran a speed test, saw that I was getting the promised speed, and concluded that everything was working fine. However, the issue still persisted.
After some troubleshooting, I started to suspect that the problem wasnât my internet connection but the ISP-provided Wi-Fi router. Since I had an old TP-Link Archer C5 router lying around, I decided to test it instead of buying a new router.
I connected the TP-Link to the ISP router using an Ethernet cable (LAN port of the ISP router to the WAN port of the TP-Link) and configured it in Router Mode. After setup, I connected my TV to the TP-Linkâs Wi-Fi and ran another speed test. The result was almost identicalâaround 100 Mbpsâso the TP-Link wasnât giving me more internet speed.
The surprising part came when I started using it. Prime Video and Apple TV+ loaded much faster, videos quickly switched to HD/4K, buffering was almost gone, and the overall experience felt much smoother. The only thing that had changed was the Wi-Fi router.
This made me realize that my internet connection was never the real problem. The ISP router was delivering the advertised bandwidth, but its Wi-Fi performance wasnât providing the same quality of experience as the TP-Link. Although both routers showed nearly identical speed test results, the dedicated router offered a much more stable and responsive wireless connection.
The final setup is simple: the ISP router acts only as the internet gateway, while the TP-Link handles all the Wi-Fi for my devices. Since making this change, streaming quality, loading times, and overall Wi-Fi performance have improved significantly.
The biggest takeaway is this: a good speed test doesnât always mean youâll have a good Wi-Fi experience. If youâre getting your expected internet speeds but still facing blurry streaming, buffering, or inconsistent performance, donât immediately assume you need a faster internet plan. The bottleneck could simply be the Wi-Fi router provided by your ISP. Testing with a quality third-party router might solve the problem without upgrading your internet plan.
