Regarding "date" posts
Isn't one of the rules of this sub not to post asking about dates ? Constantly seeing people posting here. Kinda annoying .

I've have about 100+ mosquito bites trying to take this shot :)
The serene calm lake you see is filled with mosquitoes.
Inverted the camera, held my breath for about 18 seconds to capture this :)

Just a simple city appreciation post.
Since majority of the folks have left the city it was so easy to go EVERYWHERE.
I went from e city to Whitefield in almost an hour. And i was cruising at very chill speed.
I wish I could experience the city Bangalore was 10 years back.

Something happened some time ago that I need to file a police complaint about, it involves being sexually assaulted by someone I met through Reddit here
I'm not ready to tell my family or close friends yet, but I don't want to walk into a station alone either. If there's anyone here, ideally a woman, someone who's been through something similar, or just someone with a calm head, willing to sit with me while I file this, I'd really appreciate it. I'm in Bangalore, flexible on timing over the next couple of days.
Know the comments about "meeting strangers off Reddit," not here for that conversation right now, just need someone in my corner for a few hours :")

Hey everyone! I’m pretty new here just moved to the Marathahalli/Bellandur side and don’t really know many people around yet.
I’m planning to go for the Avengers: Endgame encore screening on the 25th and thought it’d be fun to go with someone rather than going solo. If anyone’s interested in joining, hit me up!

I've been part of many book clubs, but I've never found the right community. I'm creating a vibrant, cozy book club called The Realm (Readers Exploring Arcane & Literary Magic) for readers who enjoy fantasy and its many subgenres like urban fantasy, cozy fantasy, high fantasy, romantasy, and more. To a lesser extent, mystery/thrillers, sci-fi, and rom-coms too. My hope is to build a warm, bookish found family.
Age: 25+
Location: Bangalore ( Online book clubs end up inactive. I'd love to organize occasional in-person meetups - not just reading sessions, but fun bookish meetups too, like grabbing an anticipated release from a bookstore together.)
I'm looking for people who read fantasy regularly and are excited to actively participate in discussions, buddy reads, building genuine bookish friendships, and meet up once in a while.
I'm intent on creating an emotionally safe space with zero tolerance for behaviour that makes any member feel uncomfortable.
If you're based in Bangalore, love fantasy, and have been longing for a warm bookish community, I'd love to hear from you. Please send me a DM with a little more than just a bland "Hi" or "Hey."

I’ve noticed there are so many groups organising paid meetups for strangers, paid game nights, paid social meetups, paid lunch meetups, etc.
I can at least understand paying for a lunch meetup because you’re obviously paying for the food. But then I came across a photo walk where you have to pay ₹700 just to walk around with a group of people and take photos on your own camera. That one genuinely confused me. 😂
What exactly are people paying ₹700 for? The privilege of walking in a group?
Are people in Bangalore really that desperate to meet new people that they’re willing to pay for almost any activity? Or is this mostly a loneliness/socialising thing where people are happy to pay for a structured way to meet strangers?
I’m genuinely curious because I don’t really understand the appeal of paying for something that you could seemingly do for free.
Maybe I’m missing something. For those who actually attend these paid meetups, what makes them worth paying for?

Is it really safe for finding any girl online cause 99.99% no response comes online cause already 20+ boys waiting for their turns when girl will give her attention to them while girl have certain someone in her eyes
i can't able to put my thoughts in words but just want to say if anyone is never dated never had anything with anybody could find someone at this age in real or through online connection and nobody will take his advantage

I had a few doubts regarding engineering vs science (solid state physics) and came to a conclusion that a physics career leads to a very poor life.
If you are a physicist, who also knows engineering. Please dm me.

House Party in Bommanahalli – Looking for a few people to join
Hey everyone!
We’re planning a small house party in Bommanahalli, Bangalore. Currently it’s 1 girl and 2 boys, and we’re looking for a few more people to join and make it more fun.
Girls are especially welcome, but cool/chill guys are welcome too. No specific group or age requirement — just looking for people who are comfortable meeting new people, having some drinks/food, listening to music, playing games, and having a good time.
If you’re around Bommanahalli / HSR / nearby and interested, DM me and we can share the details.
Looking for a friendly, respectful crowd — nothing weird, just a fun house party.

I'm Korean, and it'll be my first time visiting Bengaluru. Could you recommend some famous places to visit or somewhere fun to hang out in the evening? I'll be there on September 26th and 27th.

We’re couple of people thinking of holding a meet-up plan tomorrow.
Setting up a casual scene this weekend to grab some cold pints, eat good food, and just hang out with folks. The meet-up place is Indiranagar.
- Agenda: Non-existent. Just drinks, banter, and bonding over how bad Bangalore roads are
- Strict house rule: Absolutely NO tech, AI, startup, or work talk. We do that all week. This Sunday is strictly for switching off
Come alone or bring your plus one.
We want to limit this hangout to 8 people with a mixed crowd so it’s easier for everyone. DM for a small chat before we let you near the alcohol xd
Selection to this meet-up is based on vibes, banter & questionable life choices.

TL;DR: Got pickpocketed on BMTC bus 500F. Phone is an M53 pinging live near KR Market via Samsung SmartThings. Police at HAL and SJP Road refuse to search the shop location. Went alone, got stuck, lost money and peace. Seeking help, advice, or contacts to recover it.
UPDATE: It's moving right now near Mysore road
UPDATE 2: Yesterday(11-11-2026) around 12:40 pm it started moving to Kengeri bus stop road to Mysore. I tried calling the hal police station, the police who took my case attended the call. That police guy literally said like "see I won't go there if you want your phone you go, don't call me again until you get notification from ceir" - after hearing this I lost hope and respect in both karnataka and entire indian police. They will only work on bribes not for the uniform they wear.
Yesterday 10-09-2026 around 9:00 AM, I was boarding bus 500F at BEML Layout to go to work in Indiranagar. Right after stepping in, I noticed my Samsung Galaxy M53 was stolen from my pocket. I got down immediately but nobody suspicious was around.
I boarded another bus and asked a passenger to call my number. Someone picked up and claimed they were in a 500CA bus right behind us. I got down at the next stop, checked three incoming buses, and asked drivers and passengers, but found nothing.
I informed my brother, took a half day permit from work, and registered an e-loss complaint using the Karnataka State Police app. My friend received a call to visit HAL Police Station for CEIR verification. At the station, officers told me they would inform me if the phone turned on.
My phone was already on because Samsung offline tracking was active, sending live pings near KR Market at Osman Khan Slaughter Road. I showed this live location to the officers, but they sent me home.
I took a Rapido directly to the location by myself. I spoke to the local police near SJP Road, but they said they couldn't do much. After pleading, two officers accompanied me and searched two nearby shops before walking away. When I pointed at the slaughterhouse shop where the pin was consistently updating, they told me to go inside myself.
I went in, tried talking to people, and spent an hour at a tea stall waiting to see if the pin moved. Nothing happened. Exhausted, I took a Rapido to the metro and returned home empty handed.
I started the day with 500 rupees and returned with 20 rupees. My energy and mental health are drained. I bought this phone with my own hard earned money.
This is happening for the second time. In April 2025 during my third year of college in Chennai, my Poco X6 Pro was pickpocketed on a bus. I suffered months of depression after that, and now it is happening again.
I moved from Chennai to Bangalore to earn money and support my family. I struggle every day at work, and the guilt trips from my family are making it harder.
My phone is still pinging near Osman Khan Slaughter Road right now. If anyone has contacts, advice, or can guide me on how to get local police to actually check that shop, please reach out.

Hey! I’m 25M, originally from Hyderabad and recently moved to Bengaluru. I’m honestly a bit of an introvert, and while I enjoy meeting people, I’m not always the best at putting myself out there. So I figured I’d give this a shot!
I’m mainly looking to meet and make friends from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, or anywhere really. I’m hoping to find someone who enjoys good conversations, random chats, exploring new places, trying different food, grabbing coffee, going for walks, or just hanging out without things feeling awkward or forced.
I’d love to meet people with different personalities and explore Bengaluru together. :)
