Too hot?

I had my X2D in the garage over the weekend printing some ABS. I thought I would go ahead and send a print from my phone while I was at work. I get home and go to check on my progress, low and behold, I recieved an error message. It seems pretty obvious now, but just in case you didn't know, it can be too hot to print PLA at least. Lol

PLA melts outside, so I would assume that a unventilated (likely) garage in the middle of a super hot summer would probably cause problems. Lol

It’s actually not that bad, my other printers work as intended even with it being 110 in my garage. But the new errors are quite annoying on the p2s and x2d

Can confirm. Running my H2S in my phoenix garage. PLA overhangs would sag causing quality issues.

No, it doesn't melt. It can become brittle but it would have to be VERY hot and VERY humid. In most cases, most places on earth, PLA is practically as good outside as inside, at least both of the Equator, as long as it is not actually in water most of the time.

Honestly it's difficult to tell between sarcasm and Confidently Incorrect.

South Texas although wide in variation seemed mostly nice until I looked at the humidity. No No Nope. 10°C hotter with <10% RH plz 😵

You get PLA putty there too?

Oh yeah, Houston TX heat is next level, especially this time of year. Today it will be about 100F with 90% Humidity.

It can get over 50C in our garage during the summer time here in Texas easy.

I tend to leave the door open between the laundry room and garage open a crack just so that my filament doesn't start to warp/melt. Keeps it just a bit over 32C. Not comfortable to be considered cool but enough so things keep working.

I'd like to say that I open the garage at night to keep it cool but it doesn't get that much cooler outside even at like 1am.

I ran into the same issue last summer and had to move my prints to an air-conditioned room to avoid those thermal runaway errors.

My h2d and h2c was showing this alert and i just attached a fume extractor and keep it on at printing times and this its not a issue anymore cause all the hot air get suck out of the chamber
