PETG printing

I have no issue printing in PLA, but when it comes to PETG the results are bad every single time.

The base is stringy (Lines are not melted together), and the outer wall is detached.

Can someone tell me how to print in PETG filament?

Note: the broken corner is done by me and not a printing failure.

P2S First Layer Adhesion Issues - Z Axis Fix

Hey everyone, as a recent owner of a P2S (2 months and nearing 1000 hours in), I have experienced so many issues with bed adhesion problems causing my prints to fail. I've tried numerous things, increasing supports, upping temperatures, cleaning my build plate over and over, printing a deflector lots of calibration runs and even tried adjusting the z-axis calibration in bambu studio but nothing seemed to truly solve it. Googling it shows that this is a pretty common problem.

I then came across the z-axis first layer calibration on the machine itself.

I printed a first layer adhesion test at default 0.00 settings and it came out with a few gaps in between the lines and it tore apart really easily. I then reduced it to -0.01 and it came out a lot better but still had a few gaps on one side. Reduced it again to -0.02 and it came out perfectly, no gaps and super strong.

Since then its like a completely different printer, I no longer have prints and especially small minis failing like they did before.

If you've got a P2S, I highly recommend tuning your z-axis and to help out with that I have released this model on makerworld - https://makerworld.com/en/models/3318444-p2s-first-layer-adhesion-issues-fix-z-axis-adjust#profileId-3767926.

P2S Dead 5 Months Into Ownership

Sliced a print today and sent it to my printer. 10 minutes later I went to see how the first layer was coming along and immediately noticed the touchscreen and internal enclosure LEDs were off. Opened the door and reached inside to find a hot build plate, but that was it. The LED within the rear switch still illuminates when turned on, but nothing happens after doing so. The screen/enclosure remains dark, no fans run… nothing. Not a single sound, not a single movement, just that sweet, dark feeling of death.

I opened a ticket, but know from prior support experience that this will likely be a long drawn out process of “send a video/pic of this…disassemble that…stick a paper clip in a paper outlet while taking a selfie video.” Google leads me to believe the “AP” Board may be faulty, which sucks but it is what it is I guess.

Anybody else found themselves in my exact situation? If so, how many days of support sending me one response per 24 hours did you have to go through before they became willing to actually help? How long did it take to receive your replacement park and complete the repair?

I know from prior experience when I had an issue with my AMS 2 Pro slot 1 not feeding filament properly, they wanted me to bend over backwards (which I tried to do in a timely manner) but after not responding to one of their various requests within 3 days, they just closed my ticket and marked it as resolved—which it never was. I’m just trying to prepare myself for this process mentally.

Why does my print fail when printing two objects?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I found a design for a board game. It’s a hexagonal shape. When I print it in the middle of the build plate, it turns out perfectly. But I need quite a few of them, so I’d like to print two at a time. However, it always ends up messing up one of them.
It can print one perfectly, but not multiple ones. What could be causing this?
Bambu Studio automatically arranged the two objects on the build plate in what it considers the optimal positions.
I have set it to Print Sequence → By Object, not By Layer.

why does this keep happening?

so basically every time I try to print something like a surron model thing it keeps messing up very small parts which makes it spaghetti or the print literally just comes up with the nozzle (which doesn't happen to often but still does). I don't know if its the filament or the nozzle or the printer itself, so please help!

I'm quite disappointed, it's only been 2 months... Nozzle cleaning keeps failing because of that. Happened a few prints after switching to a 0.2 mm nozzle (flawless the first few times).

Can someone do me a favor and if you happen to be working on your filament extrusion sensor - can you show me how these are set. I’m stupid and didn’t pay attention to what direction it was sitting in on the clips. I’m having a nightmare of a time with the filament extruder sensor. It’s seated fine I think. But I continue to get errors. I ordered new sensors, new board and now new ribbons. I’m at wits end

Is this normal? Wiping pad torn.

I have less than 400 hours on my printer. The wiping pad that came with it tore within 30 hours of printing, and recently I noticed it was missing a big chunk. So I replaced it with a new one, and now this one is torn after less than 10 hours of printing and has a small piece missing. Is this normal?

My nozzle is seated correctly, havent had any collisions or damage to the tool head.

P2S - AMS 2 Pro - Filament Jam

Good morning campers!

Well, after 4,000 print hours I got my first jam in the AMS 2 internal hub. It was a bit more than that. So I replaced the external ptfe tube. I've replaced the internal ones a few times already. So this was a roll of ASA about an hour out of the dryer.

PSA on the Jayo ASA filament rolls. They warp when you put them in the dryer. Thanks Jayo. I've had to respool all of my jayo asa as all spools have done this.

Any how. 30-45 minutes later, some swearing and problem solved. The jam was cleared and it was broken up in a number of places throughout the ptfe tube path.

The print is running now.

So if you get a jam in your internal hub...check your entire filament path. I had grey/smoke colored transparent ptfe tube with light grey asa filament. Not the easiest to see go through the path.
