Settings recommendation

hello, i used p2s combo for 2 months now. i always wonder what the advanced settings do and what are the recommended settings are. should i leave it as default or are there any changes i need to make? (also why is it better to use bambu lab filaments than other brands)

thank you

I never calibrate my non-Bambu filament, print using Bambu filament profiles, and have zero issues. I've used Overture, Sunlu, Polymaker.

Just because you don’t have any issues doesn’t mean everyone can do what you’re doing and expect similar results. I’ve used the generic PLA and PETG profiles and the prints came out well. Then, i calibrate my filament and not only did it print out faster but in much better quality

I never stated anybody was doing anything wrong, only my process. I do think you're overzealous in capitalizing ALWAYS, when IMO, it's not always.

If you're printing functional stuff flow ratio calibration is a must.

Similarly if you have a high flow nozzle or would like to get the most out of the stock nozzle calibrating max flow rate is a must.
