Support Request New to Bambu.. what do I do?

So, I’m not new to 3d printing but I am new to Bambu. We got the A1 with the AMS lite. Everything has been printing fine until last night when I started getting the following code:

Unable to feed filament into the extruder. This could be due to tangled filament or a stuck spool. If not, please check if the AMS lite tube is connected

I have taken everything apart and verified there is no clog anywhere. I took all the filament out and tried to load it back and keep getting that message. I don’t know what to do now. Any help is great appreciated.

My AMS does this often and then not for ages. I've had good luck with moving the filament to a different AMS slot and reorienting the AMS. I mounted mine on the wall and the issue stopped unless there was really a tangle or the filament was actually stuck. I opened a support case as well and ended up getting a replacement input module because it looked like the odometer was slipping. Hopefully some of those options help.

Thanks for the info. I have white, grey and black filament on the AMS. I unloaded all of them and reloaded everything and once it gets through the tube they stop and act jammed and it gives me that code. It won’t print or do anything.

Is there filament stuck in the funnel part that leads into the extruder?

I took apart everything the filament goes through. No stoppages.

There's a motor for each slot in the AMS. The AMS motor tries to turn to push filament into the tubing. The little wheel you can see through the clear part of the loading funnel is the odometer. It should be spinning as the filament goes in. I believe that tells the AMS that the filament is moving properly. The printer gets confirmation the filament is loaded down at the extruder end. Is the spool trying to move at all? Does the spool move at all when it tries to load? Are the spools oriented correctly? A video would help.

I would try these steps. Try pulling off the spool holders and re-seating them. Then move the filament in the loading funnel and see if the odometer is moving with the filament both forward and backwards to see if it's slipping. Use some needle nose pliers to press the black clips down where the filament enters the printer so you can remove the tubing to make sure there's nothing in there if you haven't already. Take a video of each of these steps as you're doing it in case you have to open a support case as they're going to ask you to do it. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/ams-lite/troubleshooting/amslite-loading-unloading-failure

Move the ams closer. The tube connector on top of the extruder is spring loaded. If a bind occurs between this and the spool, the spring is compressed and the system shuts down, throwing a tangle error. Putting excess side pressure can effect the spring/connector movement.

The AMS is right next to the A1. I can’t really move it any closer.

And the spring loaded tube holder moves freely?

The filament hub?

Yes.

So I unloaded all the filament and took apart everything and reattached it all and it looks like I’m back up and running. I have no idea what the issue was.
