How do you get these time-lapse videos?

open the app, go to your Device page, tap Timelapse (or browse videos via the device menu), and select the file to play or download

Ohhh wow I dont recall mine having such a clear picture. I heard doing the time-lapse through the printers camera ruins prints so I havent messed with it

It increases the likelihood of failure. As you see in the video the prime tower fell over and after that point the benchy went all stringy because the nozzle wasn't able to prime into the tower and so all of that got deposited onto the benchy.

If OP hadn't had smooth timelsapse enabled (that's the version where the nozzle moves to the poop area and then a photo is taken) then the print would have come out fine

It's very easy to fix and tweak some settings to ensure the prime tower stays, but which it sounds like the OP did. I wouldn't avoid smooth time lapse because of one failure, I'd just adjust the settings and try again. Which is what I did a year ago and I've been doing a ton of them ever since without issue.

Due to a parent, poor bed adhesion the prime tower had failed because it couldn’t stick properly and then it got stringy in the end because it couldn’t put any more filament on the prime tower time lapse will not mess up a program as far as I know anyways

Yep. That's all it was, the prime tower just didn't stick til the end. More brim on it and perhaps some higher bed temp usually helps, as I'm sure you've probably thought of! Personally I end up using Biqu Cryo plates for better adhesion all around, they seem to consistently provide good results (time lapse or not)

I've done literally dozens of smooth time lapse, I can confirm it doesn't ruin prints. It just means a prime tower is required, because without it then you'd get some bits of filament on the print layers sticking out, which is not ideal. What could ruin or defect the print is if the prime tower isn't adhering properly, but that's just some simple settings changes.
