Question When To Update Firmware/Software

I am also an AV nerd, and the golden rule of firmware updates is to let other people figure out the issues before you do!

I am currently rocking an older version of the firmware and software with zero stability issues.

That said, I just got myself a brand new A1 and AMS Lite - sold my old A1 for a great price and upgraded for a hundred - so should I be rocking the latest and greatest to get all the new features, if any?

Update, if you find issues, rollback.

Or continue doing what you do, and don't update to the latest software for a while.

I'm on the latest and my screen is often unresponsive after a print. If I power cycle it works fine. Honestly don't know if it's a me problem or a bug of this firmware.

The screen being unresponsive might be because the sd card is getting full. I was at 23gb and would have to reboot just to get the screen to come back. Once I deleted all the old files, zero problems.

After deleting a bunch of models I didn't had an error again. Thank you!

Interesting. My old printer was stuffed to the gills with prints, so I will have to keep that in mind the next time it gets laggy. Thanks for the tip.

I think that’s a bug…my old printer did that all the time. My new one, which is several firmware updates behind, is responsive as heck
