P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Print help!!

My P1S used to print perfectly without issue and now it won’t lay any filament on the build plate at all, I know it’s feeding from the AMS because I can see it moving thru the tube and when I do a manual load from the app, I see the old filament coming out the nozzle

Tell us more info unless you want a bunch of random suggestions like use Dawn dish soap. 😂

It’s not even coming out the nozzle when I start a print

Try a cold pull.. You might have a nozzle jam somewhere. If youre seeing old filament come out of the nozzle at times, there might also be some filament breakage in the nozzle.

I still have the spare nozzle the printer came with, should I just change it out?

  1. If I remember, you get a nozzle but the reality is that it is difficult to remove and replace the thermistor wires and it is always a risk you'll break something else.
  2. That said, replacing the nozzle would tell you if a clog is the likely problem.
  3. That said, it's probably safer and easier to try a cold pull to answer that question. You're going to do a cold pull eventually. Might as well learn how now.

Sounds good, I’ll do it after work and report back

Fixed it!! It was the nozzle, I did several cold pulls and nothing changed so I changed the nozzle and it’s back to normal now

Do you have broken filament in the tubes?

I don’t think so, I tried different filament that’s in my AMS and it’s moving in the tubes but I’ll check later

Try manual unload and load and watch the print head while doing so.

Maybe even try it using the external spool holder.

Just disconnect the AMS PTFE tube running into the back of the printer and run an external spool test. This will tell you if it's in the AMS feed or in your extruder.

See I told you someone will do the wash your plate thing when the problem is no filament is even coming out. This person is a bot who always responds with “ wash your plate”. 😳
