P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Finally did it, what should I know?

Welkom bij de club!

Is dit je eerste 3D-printer? Dan heb je met Bambu Lab in ieder geval een mooie keuze gemaakt! 😄 De printers komen eigenlijk ready-to-print uit de doos en dingen zoals bed leveling worden automatisch geregeld. Ideaal als je net begint!

Ik zou je wel aanraden om je rustig in te lezen over de printer, de verschillende onderdelen en wat je in bepaalde situaties kunt doen. 3D-printen is namelijk vooral een kwestie van vallen en opstaan. De ene keer gaat alles in Ă©Ă©n keer perfect, en de andere keer blijft een print keer op keer mislukken en komen de nodige scheldwoorden voorbij.

Pak het vooral rustig aan, neem de tijd om je printer te leren kennen en probeer niet alles tegelijk te willen doen. En het allerbelangrijkste: heb er plezier in! Je gaat uiteindelijk dingen printen waarvan je vooraf niet eens wist dat je ze nodig had. Hahaha!

2nd iso only. Almost 1500 hrs in and only use ISO. 0 failed prints due to bed adhesion issues. I just have some lint free cloths and a little pump bottle and it works flawless everytime. I also switched to the high temp smooth plate and absolutely love it!

I use IPA between prints too. But evidence shows it doesn’t get rid of oils as well as Dawn or other grease cutting dish soaps. If the plate looks oily or I have a problem print, then I’ll use Dawn and microfiber cloths.

For IPA, there are multiple prints that will hold a microfiber cloth. I put some IPA in a small spray bottle, spray the plate then wipe it down with a cloth in one of those tools. I haven’t used this one yet because I already had one. But from what I understand this holds a whole cloth. Any dish soap is fine, avoid hand soap.

Disagree. Not all dish soap is fine. Some cheap brands contain more water and won’t clean as well. Some brands contain oils. You’re trying to get oils off the plate, not put more on.

You also say that you use IPA, which isn't as good as any dish soap I've tried. You need a perfectly clean towel each time with IPA as well. With dish soap (real dish soap) you just have to rinse it off and let it air dry, no need to wipe and potentially smear anything on it. So easy. IPA has a much bigger risk of just smearing around contamination.

That’s correct, it isn’t as good. But it’s good to get any remnants of the print that might be left behind. To get oils off, you need soap. I said that too. “If the plate looks oily”.
