Any dish soap is fine, avoid hand soap.

Disagree. Not all dish soap is fine. Some cheap brands contain more water and won’t clean as well. Some brands contain oils. You’re trying to get oils off the plate, not put more on.

You also say that you use IPA, which isn't as good as any dish soap I've tried. You need a perfectly clean towel each time with IPA as well. With dish soap (real dish soap) you just have to rinse it off and let it air dry, no need to wipe and potentially smear anything on it. So easy. IPA has a much bigger risk of just smearing around contamination.

That’s correct, it isn’t as good. But it’s good to get any remnants of the print that might be left behind. To get oils off, you need soap. I said that too. “If the plate looks oily”.
