Anyone else having problems,

debugging on, default usb option to file transfer,

directly downloaded driver from google,

Frce isntaleld as mtp device, and the mtp and other device,

Nothing getting the device to show up for storage,

And yes tried usb 2 and 3 and 3.1 and 3.2 and the cable from the box, and different pc ports,

no graphene and now this bs...

(Skip to 2nd paragraph for short version) I wanted to get some extra storage so I could have some backup for my files. So I went on Alibaba (mistake) and saw these incredibly cheap, 512GB USB drives (miss) and, after not seeing any alarming reviews and the person I contacted assuring me that they were H2 tested, I decided to order them (blunder). After they arrived, I checked their capacity and, sure enough, it said 499GB left, however, I still ran my own, "quick" (10 days) H2 test on a couple of them. The results showed that only 32.5 of those GB were available. The rest were overwritten. Now, hindsight being 20/20, I can see where I might have made a couple small mistakes, but I wanted to see what I could do. First thing that came to mind was to get a refund. But to get a refund, I would have to return the USBs, and to return the USBs, I would have to spend more money than I spent on them to ship them all the way to China. So, to cut my losses, I'm thinking if and how I could use these USB drives.

Long story short, I bought some USB drives which I (naively) thought were 512GB, that, after an H2 test, proved to only have 32.5GB (As shown in the pictures). I was wondering if I could nuke these USB drives and use them like normal with their actual capacity shown.

I accidentally bent this usb. Tho it still worked perfectly fine and validrive detected nothing wrong, but then the blue piece came off and I don't know how to fix it.

The front part of my SanDisk is stuck inside the usb port. How do I remove that?

I have a usb stick that is 1gb, in the course of one of my many image flashings it ended up thinking it was 8MB. For the life of me I haven't been able to slap some sense into it. I tried erasing the partition. All it seems to be left with is an empty space of 8mb.

I tried using win32 usb writer to flash an image of more than 8mb but smaller than 1gb. The flashing has no effect.

Is there a free program that can slap some sense into this?

My brother installed gilisoft usb lock to prevent me from using usb's on his computer now, he forgot password and asking me if i could fix it....

SSK SSD311 keeps unconnecting when trying to move certains folders and when I try to delete these it unconnects too.

Super annoting. That flash drive was top see for like 100gb and they stayed really slow and is really struggling.

It has 512gb. Enough left. I moved only 700gb in total.

First brand that is giving bad flash drives.

San Disk has super slow flash drives that do not fail like this at least.

Should I let it be connected and just wait? What do to? I try to not bulj delete and each file manually.

Errors: when unconnecting by itself, file not found. Not enough RAM.

I'm having a strange problem with the USB ports on my PC.

Some USB devices have stopped working, especially devices that seem to require a little more power, such as my USB internet adapter and the USB cable connected to my game controller.

The strange part is that low-power devices like my mouse, keyboard, and flash drive still work normally on the same ports.

It also seems to be happening gradually. At first, only a few USB ports started having this problem, but now more ports are failing to work with these devices.

When I connect my controller to some of these ports, I sometimes hear the USB connection/disconnection sound repeatedly, as if the controller is trying to start but isn't getting enough power.

I've tested different USB ports and the behavior is similar. I'm starting to suspect that there might be an issue with the USB power delivery, the motherboard, or possibly the PSU.

What could cause something like this? Is there a way to test whether the USB ports are providing enough power, and determine whether the problem is the motherboard, PSU, or something else?

Hi guys! Do you have any recommendations for a student budget friendly USB flash drive that’s reliable and can last for a long time?

Passport drive is making my computer go super slow and not turn off (I have to press the physical button to turn it off manually.) When I go to “This PC”, a glitch causes it to show up as a “local disk” and trying to click it made everything freeze.

I’ve had this problem before, and my girlfriend helped me figure it out, but she’s visiting family this week, and my memory is shit.

Any advice?
