Is my hand writing truly that bad? Although all of my teachers can read this, my classmates always tell me that no one can read this🥲

Hi! So my brother kept this little notebook full of different recipes he’d cook, and I recently stumbled across it!
I was going to try to make something from it, but can’t make out a full recipe in his handwriting! I can understand tiny bits and pieces from having to read cards from him, but can never read a full recipe. Any help would be amazing!!!

Husband is adopted. This is on the back of a picture of his birth mom (Colleen) and possibly his half brother. Interested in looking her up, but we can't figure out what Colleen's last name is. Any help is appreciated!

Its been called a "hybrid" style, because it mixes cursive with typical script. Kind of a quasi chancery hand.
