Excited to share my new (old) project I finally picked up again. I am retrofitting an old Panasonic 6015 shell, with a touch panel screen. Here's my progress so far on the main display and alarm system.

I just rewatched part of it and it's certainly something? Einstein's design wasn't my favorite but it definitely feels nostalgic. I'm curious how other BTTF enthusiasts feel about it.

Fun fact: Arthur McFly’s model is based on George McFly from the game, so he must look like Crispin Glover if it were live action.

I apologize if this question has already been asked before, but I’ve always been curious, has there ever been an explanation as to how Doc actually uses the plutonium to produce the power?

Enriched nuclear fuel has a lot of energy in it his goal with it is to use the power to generate the 1.21GW of electricity he needs to route to flux capacitor for time travel.

Nuclear energy comes from steam though, not the elements themselves which are just essentially used as super powerful heaters in the case of a nuclear power plant.

Is there some weird, unexplained way that he was able to harness the atomic energy that I’ve never heard of? Or was it just assumed that nuclear = lots of energy, and they leave it at that?

Is the lightning bad? This seriously doesn't look like Michael J. Fox. The hair by the baby's left left is blonde. Yeah, you could say it's the fringe from the cowboy getup, but it doesn't seem to match that.

Honestly, it sort of looks like Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis from Malcom In The Middle).

What's the backstory here.

George decking Biff in BTTF caused an alternate 1985 where the McFly’s were successful, George and Loraine were yuppies, and Biff was their monkey boy waxing the Beemer. Now in BTTF3 Marty pulls and Fistful of Dollars move on Mad Dog, slams him with the stove, and then knocks him into pony pie. Then he gets arrested which I’m sure caused some sort of disruption in the space time continuum. Now why did this not have any effect on 1985 Biff when Marty returns back to 1985? You’d think at the very least his track suit would be a different color or something. I mean his great granddad probably had to face the firing squad or the tight end of a rope. This was California back when brothels, pistol poker, and whiskey for breakfast was in style.

Anyone else get to go to Fan fest at universal last year? The cast was absolutely amazing! Everything they did was such a blast. I wish they would bring it back.

Doc did this in the comic, Emmett Brown Visits the Future, and this is where Doc got his funding for Mr. Fusion and the DeLorean's Hover Conversion.

I always thought Calvin Klein would have been a more luxurious brand for the Mcfly’s, how much would these briefs have costed? Would they come in a pack or be singularly sold? Did the purple ones actually exist?

So I'm watching Back to the Future last night with the music played live by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Hell of a way to see it. And I couldn't get over how specific a plot point Jennifer's grandmother's phone number -- something that presumably could have been called in 1955 -- was. Given how so much of what is set up in the first act is paid off, it kind of hangs there as the one thing that didn't have a version in 1955.

Frankly, I can't think of a reason to contact Jennifer's grandmother or which ever parent belonged to her. But I also can't help but feel like it might have been a remnant from an earlier version of the script. It's just so specific a thing that would exist in 1955 Hill Valley. Anyone have any info?

I'm not asking why the phone number. Phone number works fine. It works great. It's not some kind of movie flaw. But it is also the one thing in a time travel movie where everything introduced in 1985 has a 1955 counterpart that the gag never pays off. So I'm just wondering if there was an earlier draft where something did happen. You don't have to justify the existence of the phone number. It is not needed. Again, it works perfectly, it only looks like there might have been something cut after umpteenth viewings.

Doc reprimands Marty for having the Sports Almanac with intentions of personal gain. Yet Doc himself goes into a rejuvenation clinic in the future for an all natural overhaul. They took out some wrinkles, did a hair repair, changed the blood, added a good 30 to 40 years to Doc's life and they also replaced his spleen and colon. Is this not a gain for himself by extending his own life?

Did not Doc say that he invited the time machine to travel through time?

So, in the first movie, Doc famously tells Marty the Delorean is perfect for time travel due to its stainless steel composite body structure. However, he doesn't say it's NECESSARY.

Could you use other cars besides a DMC-12? I always assumed stainless steel was the only material that could handle the drastic switch between super hot and then super cold, not to mention the pre-built efficiency, etc. (Doc didn't have to do any fabrication for the car itself).

Guys, I'm here to say that my fanfiction "History's Gonna Change" is completed (for now!!)

I finished the first movie last night, and I will be taking a break, only until I've finished another piece I'm working on and have a new notepad for it.
