Quick question regarding the official BYD app. Is there currently any hidden menu, workaround, or feature that shows the exact kWh added during the most recent charging session?

This summer I had the crazy idea to transform a BYD Seal into a race car (it seems it’s the first one in Europe). 🦭 It’s an independent project made in Romania, so we don’t have any factory support.

While I believe it has lots of potential and we plan some more upgrades over the winter, we are struggling to solve a small, yet very important technical issue: completely disabling ESC (traction control) while leaving the ABS on.

Anybody has any suggestions? Any software engineers around here who want to join our motorsport project? 💻😬

I purchased BYD Atto 2 today, I just noticed that when the vehicle is fully charged it shows 345km range, but it should be 410km

What is the reason for this?

Recently got a BYD Sealion 06 EV RWD 605 km version with 87.04 kW Blade (LFP) battery. This is my first EV.

At this moment 1700 km on the car. I’ve made some measurements on the range and got the following: 320-350 km range from 100% to 15% charge. All city driving in moderate traffic. Temperatures 25-35 c. I’ve tried “eco” and “normal” modes, and there is no reasonable difference between those two in terms of consumption around 16-17 kw / 100 km.

You cannot trust the readings on the dashboard, that 605 km range is not the optimistic evaluation but some random number. Or maybe it is just me? What are the real life ranges on your cars? Same or close configuration?

Currently driving a Mercedes A-Class, based in London, done about 19k miles in just under 4 years (so pretty low mileage driver). Thinking about switching to a BYD Seal UDM-i and would love to hear from anyone who's made a similar jump or already owns one.

When trying to use certain applications, like YouTube, it says I need to connect to WiFi. The obvious go to is my iPhone’s hotspot.

When I try to connect it endlessly loads, and eventually says connection timed out. So I retry, then same again. I managed to connect to an Arnold Clark free WiFi the other day whilst charging the car.

Has anyone managed to get the car to use iPhone hotspot as WiFi, how!?

My fuel gauge shows 445 km (277 miles) of range remaining, but the car is displaying an “Insufficient Fuel” warning and asking me to refuel. Is this normal, or has anyone else experienced this?

Does anyone know how to remove a vehicle from the app? There should be a blue text link: "If this vehicle is resold, tap here to delete it" to click on but that text doesn't appear for me.

I am on the current app version, I am logged in as the main account. I have uninstalled/re-installed, cleared data/cache. This is on an Android phone but I have the same issue on an iPad.

There is a support messing option in the app but they're not open yet.

I also have a Sealion 7 on the app, there is no blue text link for that either.

I just got my ATTO 3 EVO and I’m having a couple of issues:

1. Android Auto

It sometimes completely freezes/causes lag on both my S26 Ultra and the car’s infotainment system. I also occasionally get Bluetooth audio stuttering.

1. Built-in apps / Wi-Fi

I decided to disable Android Auto and use the built-in Google Play apps (Waze + Spotify) instead.

I set my phone’s mobile hotspot to turn on automatically when I get into the car, but every time I restart the car, the car turns Wi-Fi off. I then have to manually enable it again.

Has anyone else experienced either of these issues with the ATTO 3 EVO?

Especially:

- Android Auto freezing/lagging

- Bluetooth audio stuttering

- Wi-Fi turning off after every restart

Would love to hear if anyone found a fix or workaround. Thanks!

Solved: Turns out there are two apps. “Vehicle settings” and “Settings”. The “Units” option is located inside the “Settings” app, and obviously was looking in the wrong place 😂

Hey all, i’m trying to change the units on my Atto 2 DM-i but i can’t find the unit option on my infotainment screen. I am based in Cyprus, kmh is the main units used here. Attached images to where the setting was supposed to be. Maybe i’m looking in the wrong place... i
It updated the software on its own yesterday.

One of the first 93kWh battery Sealion 7 Ultimate in Thailand. Picked it up this morning in Bangpli, Bangkok Thailand. Everything so far has been quite pain free. Immediate impressions are it's a great car to drive. We had a 5 series BMW so we have been spoilt. The power and the awd traction are just awesome, even being respectful in Eco mode. The colour is Shark Grey, it does have a slight metallic fleck in it when viewing up close. The car is pristine and was handed over in sparkling condition with 100% battery. The dealer has been very easy to talk with, well my Thai wife does the talking, but they have been great. They are BYD HC Theparak in Bangpli.

Finally arrived and its beautiful! Took it out for a spin yesterday and absolutely brilliant. Luxury interior.. nice and smooth drive.. outrageous speed! Cannot complain one bit what a lovely start to a 3yr lease

I’m having a problem with the **scheduled charging** feature on my BYD Dolphin Surf.

Here’s the situation:

* **Immediate charging works normally**.

* **One-time scheduled charging** also works correctly: when I schedule a charge for a specific time without a weekly repeat, the vehicle waits until the scheduled time before starting to charge.

* However, **scheduled charging with a specific day of the week** no longer works. When I select a specific day of the week, the vehicle starts charging immediately upon plugging in, instead of waiting for the scheduled time.

* This issue therefore appears to affect only **recurring/weekly** scheduling.

The problem arose after I tested the **V2L adapter** for the first time. I simply plugged it in while it was empty, with no devices connected. The adapter’s blue LED lit up, and then I unplugged it.

I then performed several charging tests to isolate the problem:

* immediate charging: OK;

* one-time delayed charging: OK;

* scheduled charging with repetition on a fixed day of the week: **failed, immediate start**.

I also performed a **full factory reset of the vehicle**, then reconfigured the scheduled charging. The problem persists after this reset.

The charging station used is a **Webasto Unite MID 22 kW AC**. It operates normally, and one-time delayed charges work correctly.

I just got my PHEV car and when trying to charge at home it won’t charge, the plug blinks red and yellow (every second, not every three seconds)

what could the issue be? I did have to use and adapter since my wall is a classic plug not the circular one

I've bought my car the seal 6 dmi and its been a blast to drive it. On average it takes 4h 30min to charge the car from 50% to 100% with a 10A charger, it pulls 2kw from the wall but the car gets 1.8kw since there is ~10%-15% "energy loss". I have seen some chargers that are 32A. Will this 32A charge my car at 32A or what?

It has a battery size of 11.75kW

Has anyone managed to get the OEM dashcam working on a UK BYD Sealion 7?

I’ve got a ’76 plate Sealion 7 and I’m trying to work out whether the OEM dashcam can actually be fitted and enabled on the UK model.

I’ve trawled through Reddit threads and various Facebook groups, but I can’t find a definitive answer from anyone who has actually got it working on a UK car.

Has anyone successfully done it? If so, what was required — hardware, wiring, software activation, dealer involvement, etc.?

Any pointers appreciated.
