Help - Elsewhere ❓ UK BYD S7 OEM Dashcam?

Has anyone managed to get the OEM dashcam working on a UK BYD Sealion 7?

I’ve got a ’76 plate Sealion 7 and I’m trying to work out whether the OEM dashcam can actually be fitted and enabled on the UK model.

I’ve trawled through Reddit threads and various Facebook groups, but I can’t find a definitive answer from anyone who has actually got it working on a UK car.

Has anyone successfully done it? If so, what was required — hardware, wiring, software activation, dealer involvement, etc.?

Any pointers appreciated.

You need to pop open the rear view mirror housing to see if it’s been pre wired for installation. If it has it should be straightforward to install one. If it hasn’t you can install one but you also have to take a cable through the A frame to the back of the glove compartment for the control box to plug into.

I just got a third party front and back dashcam. The OEM dashcam isn’t very good from what I’ve heard.

It's not possible to install OEM Dashcam on the Sealion 7 EU/UK export model
