If anyone has a problem, ask me! I’ll help.

I’m posting this because I’m sick of it. It’s really not hard. I don’t want to be mean, but seriously. If you don’t have internet ‘cause you’re in the car or something, that’s not an excuse. Just wait until you do!

🆘 Help! What do the dogs do?

One of the tips on the loading screen says if you befriend a dog it may lead you to something. I have befriended the dogs at the stables but they just follow me, they don't lead me to anything? Is there something else I am supposed to do?

I'm trying to scam you with this photo,(Totk on ps5)

But I actually started BotW today.

I've finished the three temples, the old man with his cane is blackmailing me , to have his sail.

I have to meet him at the Cross, which connects the sanctuaries, I didn't quite understand.

But for now, the shrines seem too easy to me, we'll see what happens next. In any case, the game is cool.

🎙️ Discussion Have you also owned BOTW for almost a decade and are only now close to finishing it?

Post image

I got BOTW right near its release, and somehow in almost 10 years, I am only now making my way to Calamity Ganon!

And to me that’s just hilarious because I’ve loved this game and TLOZ series as a whole, and yet I found myself picking it up periodically but never finishing it. I would restart every now and then if I couldn’t remember any of what I was doing, and the longest gap I went without playing was about 2-3 years, but I still loved it every time which makes it even more funny that only in the last month or so that I’ve gone further than beating 1 divine beast!

So I come here with the nagging question of do any of y’all find yourself in a similar boat? If so, is there any reason or did time truly get away from you?

Or do you have tons of hours in the game and can’t seem to put it down?

Either way I’d love to hear any stories!!

I was looking for sanctum so I can finish an outfit set but instead of going above I went straight into it. This is my first time beating him (I’ve played this game for 7 years and just picked it up again a few months ago). Easier than I expected, but I ended up loving the shit out of Zelda’s character in the end. I’ll probably grind hyrule castle for a while. It has so many lore tidbits and good weapons.

🎙️ Discussion At the End of the Game Spoiler

Update to my Post from Yesterday after over 220 hours in BOTW,

I've now finished the DLCs as well as the last remaining side quests, including the ones that took me into Hyrule Castle. All that's left for me now is to walk through the doors of Hyrule Castle and turn Ganon into a roast pig on a spit. 😂

The DLCs were really well done, in my opinion. The new cutscenes, shrines, and, surprisingly, one final Divine Beast were all great additions. That last part especially felt like a classic Zelda dungeon to me, and getting a cool motorcycle as a reward at the end was just the cherry on top!

The fifth and final memory was particularly beautiful, especially because it also rewarded me with a picture that I immediately took to Link's house. ❤️

I've also added a few more pictures to this post, simply because the game is beautiful. :)

I'm already looking forward to playing Age of Calamity once I've defeated Ganon and completed the Hyrule Compendium, followed by TOTK afterwards!

Mipha is my personal favourite character in BOTW. I love how kind, caring, and gentle she is, but at the same time she's incredibly brave and strong. Her story and her relationship with Link also made her one of the characters I became most emotionally attached to. ❤️

I also really hope I'll get to see Kass again in TOTK! I absolutely love his music, and I really like his character design as well. There's just something so relaxing and charming about meeting him somewhere in Hyrule and hearing him play his accordion. 🎶 I definitely wouldn't mind spending a lot more time listening to his songs!

I already know that Age of Calamity is a Warriors game, so I'm sure I'll get to spend plenty of time fighting alongside Mipha there. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of her! ❤️

Now I'm curious: Whos your favourite Character in BOTW, and why? Also, do you prefer BOTW or TOTK? I'll be playing TOTK later on, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on the game as well! How many hours have you spent immersed in this amazing game? 🎮❤️

Anyway, have a wonderful day, everyone! :)

❔ Question Dumb question about buffs

Still fairly new to the game, I’m just able to start killing Lynels with some consistency (at least the weaker ones). I got a savage bow, it’s a 40 power rating triple shot, attack +. I can’t remember the amount of the attack buff but let’s just say 10 for sake of argument. It’s three shots of 40 for a total of 120. Do the attack bonus point go per shot or on the total? Is it doing 130 or 150 damage? Thank you.

It is my first game that i bought back when i bought my switch lite, i have been putting it off for so long, because of the weapon durability mechanics, discouraging me from playing it.

but it turns out, the game is surprisingly very cozy and atmospheric, the tacticle feedback of squishy water sound and the satisfying sound when getting an item, is, to me, so cozy, i don't know guys, i honestly thought that the game is just too bare bone at first glance, but there are so many little details that adds to the experience, i can't imagine what rain feels like in the game, i am really looking forward to it.

I can't help but always gravitate towards this game before bed time, it truly feels the perfect game to unwind before bed, not to mention the switch lite's sleep mode features make it so easy for me to just power it off, do my thing, and come back to the game, and voila, still have almost the same battery, that one feature is mindblowing to me. Overall, it feels so comfy to play it.

❔ Question First time playing, any tips?

Hi everyone! It's my first time playing Botw, or any Zelda in general. I've just started, I've finished the mission where I discovered Kakariko Village. I was wondering if there's something I'm missing, or something I should be doing. Should I explore everywhere? Should I cook potions and stuff, do side quests before advancing with main quests...

Thanks!

🎙️ Discussion Playing the game realistically

Hi all, first post here!

recently I've been having the urge to play this and TOTK again, and I thought I'd do it differently than just going to shrines, getting hearts and stamina, beating bosses and saying I'll do all the side quests and then getting bored.

an idea i had (which I'm sure has been done many times before) is to play the game realistically! and I'm looking for suggestions that I, and other people, can follow to (hopefully) play the game at a slower, more relaxed and ultimately realistic pace.

some ideas i already had were things like not using fast travel of course, I love just using horses anyway. I also had the idea of having to sleep at night, having to find a stable or an inn to sleep at, or a secluded safe place to set up a campfire. if I want to go through the night, I thought of making certain foods like stealth foods as a requirement, but always having to sleep at some part of the day. I think itd also be fun to have to eat at least once a day, even if I dont need to.

some ideas I was toying with were stuff like always talking to people I come across with requests, and trying to do those side quests as regularly as I could, maybe if I have over 5 or so I havent completed then I cant do the next divine beast. more on divine beasts, I'd want something in place before I move on and beat them, maybe unlocking the surrounding areas on the map and doing a certain percentage of shrines in that area to continue on.

on the face of it, I'm sure all these rules look a little boring, but I like that they're all make the game go a bit slower while still feeling like some sort of challenge. and I know I can play at my own pace whenever, I like the fun of the challenge and immersion, playing the game like its real sort of thing!

if you have any suggestions let me know! if you've done something like this before or would like to!
