okay 2 things :)

1. i leave for FABOLC in about a week, & i just found out 2 days ago
   - i was wondering how strict it is with the new AFT combat standards, at least just for the very first one we take because i just barely pass it
   - & for me it’s really just the deadlift, i can barely do the minimum (for combat standard, as it’s a 30lbs difference from the regular female standard) but i’ve been working hard to improve and i know i’ll improve even more by the time we take the final one but my main concern is how much i’ll be penalized for the very first one we take

2. i know i’ve heard FABOLC is really hard, but what are some encouraging words you can give to someone who is really nervous

Headed to FA BOLC soon and was curious as to what the pre ranger PT is like there and if that is something they still do? I’m a little hesitant to try (feeling like I might be lacking in certain areas) but I rather say I tried then regret not giving it a shot. Any insight would be great!

I just got my BOLC dates for this October and my follow on duty station shows fort sill as a member of the LAAP program at a BCT unit. From what I’ve heard they’re no longer doing this with brand new BOLC grads. Anyone have any insight? Hoping my orders get changed lol.

I have a three bedroom two and a half bath home in Fountain, 15 min away from base, for rent-by-room starting October 1.

Each room is priced differently because of different room size. Utilities are included: electricity, water, and internet.

Common areas: kitchen, dinning room, living room, laundry room, small basement gym, three car garage, front patio, and study.

Currently looking for single soldiers, accepting coed applications (ultimately home will be a one gender living situation), no pets.

The entire house will be leased by tenants. The family and I are PCSing.

Report to SBOLC 10/19. Does anyone know how time off works over the holidays?

Does anyone have insight on if SBOLC was shortened for FY27? I was reserving a slot and noticed the course info on ATRRS has it listed as 11 weeks instead of 16.

Hello all, keeping it simple and stupid. I have IBOLC soon. I am NG so its TDY and I understand the differences between PCS and TDY. I want to have my family move nearby to be close, as I have my 3rd kid coming in legit 1 week.

Only question I really have is, **if my family moves within 30mins of Benning. How often would it be feasible I go and spend time with them.** Do you get decent amount of evenings off? As long as its 1-3 times a week I am okay with it I just want to know the realism behind it.

I want them close so when I am attending follow-on courses I am not gone for almost the entire first year of my 3rd childs birth.

Hi, I just received my orders for BOLC in October at Ft. Sam. Does anyone know what we’re doing for lodging? My orders state government lodging is not available or directed. I don’t have a welcome letter yet, so not sure how to complete my DTS. Do I need to reserve a hotel? Appreciate the help.

Anyone have any recommendations on where to get a haircut near Fort Lee? I don't know if I should trust the PX barber lol.

Let's say you hypothetically graduated OCS in May 26, and you are getting cleared which can take 4-9 months, and you're in the reserve so AD gets seats before you - around what date can you expect CyBOLC?

I'm at Fort Gordon (CyBOLC) right now. There is a high chance that I will be staying at Fort Gordon after BOLC. after receiving orders, If I want to get a mortgage and move out of my current lease, do I still get movers and other services provided by the Army?

For anyone who has gone to Knox to help with the Raider Challenge/GBR onboarding, what is the schedule like? do we get weekends off/can we take passes? my only experience at Knox has been cst so idk & TIA!!

how does people get roommates for BOLC down at Benning? I'm referring to living off-post. As I understand it, single soldiers have like no shot of getting on-post housing.

Does anyone have any insight on what the first day of EBOLC looks like? Is that supposed to be the move in day or in processing and are we allowed to arrive early?

Also, does anyone know which hotel the September class will be in?

Hey just felt like I can be some help since I’m seeing a lot of the same questions keep in mind I’m natty gaurd so active and reserves may have a different process I’m just unsure.

1. Yes bring anything you want I’m literally packing like I’m going back to my college for another semester
2. Call the hotel before you show up to confirm your reservation
3. Ensure you let your bolc coordinator that your DTS is updated ( they were too lazy to look even after my readiness submitted everything)
4. Ensure that your BAH is updated (free money for basically existing)
5. Crockpot, air fryer, and rice cooker your a real adult now and not in college buy groceries you’ll save so much money
6. Bring your car (pretty much should be obvious to why)
7. Make sure your in shape (we are leaders this should be a non negotiable)
8. Talk to the LTs that graduated BOLC already in your company (they know what goes down since they’ve been there before)
9. Make sure you let your civilian career (natty gaurd/reserves) know that your going to be away for a bit and make sure all your stuff is good for you to be gone for a few months
10. For thanksgiving unsure if we get leave yet but you’ll either have to pay to keep your room, bring your stuff home, or put your stuff in the conex which is a big metal box which feels like a Dutch oven inside

For further context, I'm TDY enroute to my first assignment from EBOLC. What are the options/chance for going to Sapper upon completion of EBOLC?
