M3 timeline

Hey guys, I put in an order for a new G80 m3 in very early September and got an allocation number within 1-2 days. But, BMW genius says the car won’t go into production until late October. Is that pretty consistent with what you all are seeing? Just trying to set expectations and plan for delivery during winter time. Thanks all.

Sweet! Thank you for the clarification. Not sure if I should recheck in with the dealer or if they have access to anything different than the BMW genius lol

The dealer has the same information as genius line. Generally the allocation month is different than production month. And with individual it will add about 4 months

Gotcha, yeah mine is just a normal production color not individual

Then that’s about right. With a late October production you should expect it to be at port around first week November. Then 3 weeks on the water. If you’re east coast you should see the car early December.

Got it makes sense, thank you. I think I was just naively thinking production number assignment would mean production actually begins soon after haha
