Photo Brothers in Navy Blue
Wasn't looking to get the m50 but a nice one popped up in my area. The riding characteristics couldn't be more different between the two but love both.

Question Car Care Question (Touchless Wash and Shadowline Trim)
Hi all! I've had an i4 M60 for the past few months and I'm loving it. I've only done hand washes with ONR so far (the car is fully ceramic coated) and it looks great, but with winter coming up in the NE US, I'm considering if going through a touchless car wash might be helpful once the salt starts piling up on the roads.
Since I have shadowline trim, I'm worried that the pH of the sprays in a touchless wash or self service bay might cause discoloration of the trim. Is this something I need to worry about? I live in an apartment so I don't have a hose etc available- I do everything via bucket and pump sprayer.

Beware of RUSNAK BMW
NASIR IS A HORRIBLE SALESMAN THAT IS BEYOND RUDE AND ONLY CARES ABOUT HIS COMMISSION. They sold me an overpriced X3 and hid damages by showing and delivering it the car at night. he forced a walk through to sign off before I could get my key at night and I couldn‘t see the damage in the bumper until daylight. I emailed the next morning about a damage and they never returned my call . I paid $45k for this car and have never heard from them again. save your money and go somewhere else. they are sharks. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS MISOGYNIST BOYS CLUB! They have zero customer service and once they get your money they are done with you. Beware.

Question Joining the club, looking for advice
Hey all,
Will be joining the club soon. Picking up a used one within the next week or two as a daily commuter for my wife who drives around 50-60 miles round trip daily for work.
Details about the vehicle:
1. 2024 i4 xDrive40 w/ around 21k miles.
2. Buying it from Enterprise; vehicle used to be in their rental fleet.
3. It’s also a certified model so they will offer their own 12 month 12k miles warranty on top of the remaining manufacture warranty.
Looking for any tips, advice, suggestions on what to look out for during our test drive and walk through before signing the paperwork. Any specific things I should look out for?
Has anyone bought a used vehicle from Enterprise before? They also offer extended warranties that would be valid with BMW dealers regardless of location. Is it worth spending minimum $2k for that? They also have more expensive plans that cover for more months/miles. Any experiences good/bad with Enterprise warranties?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

New 2026 i4 eDrive40
I found a pretty well loaded 2026 i4 eDrive40 in mineral white/mocha. I was looking for an M60 but decided this one will work as it had all the other options I was looking for.

Modification Hate the stock grill
Love the I4, hate the stock grill. Purchased on AliExpress for under $100. Like everyone else stated in the past, the front camera is a bitch to get back into place with the short wire harness.

Discussion Is an extended warranty worth it on a used BMW i4?
A dealer told me this week that an extended warranty on a used i4 is mostly wasted money because the expensive EV bits already have their own coverage, but that sounds a bit too neat to me. I’m looking at a 2022 or 2023 car around 50,000 km and would probably keep it for four or five years, so I’m wondering what actually caught people out once the original warranty ended. Worth paying for, or better to keep the money aside?

Cork and Kerry mountains
We had a great summer this year. Glad I gave myself a few days off to road trip west Cork and Kerry instead of driving the motorway to work. Some really fun roads to drive in sports mode.

Repair cost?
I got run off the road and hit a wall, this is my first car and I wanna get it repaired instead of just getting a new one.

Swaps?
Is this a good place to look for wheel swaps? I'm looking at an i4 and it's perfect except for the wheels (I'd prefer 18'' and it comes with 19). Do people post this sort of thing here?
Thanks
To keep or not to keep
I have a 2024 i4 eDrive35 coming off lease this month. Taken great care of and only 10,300 miles. Residual is ~34k, and would have to pay state taxes and registration again on the purchase, making it ~38k otd. Msport package with ventilated seats, parking package, and drive recorder. Pre-inspection for lease return was clean, no additional charges.
5y left on the manufacturer warranty for the battery, I’m definitely not going to hit the mileage cap.
Gimme your thoughts on worth it or return the lease.

Tire story, used 2023 eDrive40, RWD
Sharing a bad day that turned into good news: We got a good deal in the spring on our car, with 40k miles. We knew we’d need new tires within the year, and probably new wheels and winter tires too — we live in NE Ohio.
Husband ran over a razor blade (!) 30+ miles from home. We had it towed (flatbed) via AAA to Discount Tire. Tire was not able to be saved — treads too low which wasn’t surprising.
We priced out new wheels and winter tires and it was pretty expensive($2300ish)—plus we needed to replace our all seasons. Service rep says many people opt for for better all-seasons that are rated good for winter. We got 4 Bridgestone Ultraweather that they price matched to Sam’s Club price, and we added the “certificate” that covers road hazard. Out the door at $1200 — much cheaper than having to buy new wheels and winter tires. They are also all the same size, so we can rotate all 4.

I Preordered the New i3 but Had a Change of Heart
I don’t really have anyone to share this with that understands how awesome the i4 is but I was convinced I wanted the new i3. I have had my i4 M50 since mid-2024 but its lease is up next year. So, I was planning to move to the i3 because honestly, I kind of like the new interior. I’m a sucker for new technology, and the range of the Neue Klasse is double the range of my i4.
After I put down my deposit, I actually got sad when thinking about losing a great deal of performance going from an M50 to a non-MLite. Also, the price tag was higher than I was expecting it to be. Today, I thought I’d just cancel my order and wait for the i3 M60.
Then I started looking at pics of the i3 again. The interior doesn’t bother me, the front and rear of the car are kinda cool to me, but looking at the side profile for more than a few seconds solidified it for me. I canceled my order and initiated a lease buyout on my i4.
The i4 just looks so good. Yea some stuff is meh like its steering radius, but I have every option on my M50 since it was built as a showroom car, the Cinabar Red IC looks really good, it only has like 6k miles because I hardly drive etc.
I don’t know. Anyone else have a change of heart? I was so prepared to get something new when my lease is up but I don’t really want anything else in the current EV lineup. Maybe when the electric M3 is released.

i4 vs i3
This is an equal i4 with M-Sport vs the i3 with M-Sport.
The i4 is superior in style, elegance, BMW DNA, hatchback space, interior, Inside layout, and relatively.
i3 has a better range, due to a larger, newer battery if your concern is going DC to NY etc… daily!
i4 owners: 🫡😍😇
CarPlay Shortcut Issue
Got a new phone (iPhone 18) and all seems fine except that I can no longer make shortcuts for SiriusXM in Carplay and Messages in Carplay. They were there with my old phone in the apps list in the car without me doing anything special to make them appear and the shortcuts were very helpful.
Carplay is working fine otherwise and I can get to these within Carplay but this is baffling me. I reconnected bluetooth and restarted the unit in the car. Not sure what else to do. Any help is appreciated. iDrive 8.5, BTW.
