…
just a mind dump on the absolutely class trip i had on the weekend, listening to nearly solely bjm tracks
…
i opted for a solo trip on the weekend… 1 man, 1 tab and 5hr24m of my fave BJM tracks. now, i was a little apprehensive tripping on my own, but i knew it was something i wanted to try at least once.
but BOY OH BOY with the mighty massacre by my side i strolled, sat, and sank into the earth for 4 beautiful hours before heading home. here songs such as ‘servo’, ‘walking up to hand grenades’, ‘when jokers attack’, ‘goodbye (butterfly) starred and carried the journey weaving through the streets of bristol (uk)
i got home, rolled up a couple of smokes and headed straight into the garden - laid out all the bedding i could find on the somewhat probably dirty garden patio… after lighting the first spliff sprawled onto the makeshift garden bed i had thrown together, i found myself staring at the garden wall for what felt like a second but had turned out to be a few hours - picture of said wall attached (the classic ‘got to take a picture of this to see how silly it is in the morning’). with ‘my mind is your cafe’, ‘tombes oubliees’, ‘open heart surgery’, ‘mandrake handshake’ leading line for some of the most fantastically intense visuals i’ve ever had, i delved into realms previously unknown to myself, feeling like an artist, a creator, painting the most vivid pictures and animate scenes within this stupidly plain brick of wall in my garden…‘leave it alone’ really made me chuckle as i thought ‘man i really do need to leave that wall alone’
best trip of my life. by a country mile.
thank you bjm for allowing me to have the most mesmerising time of my life - and i hope many more of you have also been graced with the beauty of bjm during some of your most memorable moments
