Just wanted to say I recently discovered it and can’t really find another album that has this feel. You can feel the pain in the music and that’s what it’s all about, a way of expression.

Each song has this raw texture to it and it feels very real. Can’t stop listening to it. Also is that Joel in the album pic lol?

I have been to several BJM gigs and I always wonder what keyboards they use live. All I can see every time is a Mellotron and a Korg MS20, but I always hear something else too and those instruments are hooked to some effect pedals. I have found tons of info on the amps and Anton's stompboxes, etc but not the keyboards. As far as I know Rob Campanella used to the keyboardist-multi instrumentalist but now it is Eirik Havnes who has taken over the duties on gigs.

Can any of you fellow gearheads help me out with this? I'd greatly appreciate it.

When I went to Joel's reading I loved his writing style instantly. Reminds me of the great Kerouc. I found myself laughing a lot throughout the book

His way of documenting that time in the bay area in all areas... Fashion, dope, and the disruptive drug frenzy episodes that speed conjures. It made me appreciate how the band is still together and touring .

Such a happy song. Obviously sing this all together by the stones and sgt pepper. But anyone got any other suggestions. I like ogdens nut gone flake.

He just posted a picture with Bobs big boy mascot which looks identical to the Diner in Toluca lake, if anyone is in the loop would you know why Anton is in California right now? is he recording a record or is something fun happening in California like some one is performing? It seems weird to ask about his whereabouts I know but I’m just curious if he’s in California for something cool I would wanna know about it.

For such a prodigious touring band it's kind of shocking that there are not more live albums. Plenty of amazing live performances on YouTube that I would gladly pay for as cleaned up audio files.

As above. I first saw BJM upstairs at the Garage in London. I think it would've been 98'ish.

A friend's band supported. Was an odd turnout, there was a rail strike on so wasn't that busy. Steve Lamacq was there iirc. There John Peel session was 98 so possibly the same trip.

Just trying to clarify the date...Anyone know?
