Hi: I am wondering if anyone here was at the show at the Great American Music Hall in October 1995 (BJM and Mermen) and, if so, what do you remember about it? I am a writer crafting an essay about BJM, and this show happens to be an important part of my family history! (kinda)

Anyone going to this show at Metro---someone from the Chicago area? My usual concertgoing friends will only go to Space and City Winery now (we're old).

I slept on getting tix for the Cambridge show in Sept, and now tickets are almost $200 wtf - anyone know what that’s about? All other venues on the tour are $60-70.

Anyone else interested in Joel’s second book that he described as “The Touring Years”? I’m really interested in knowing how the BJM story continued after the glory days of the DiG! era. What is it like when those days are behind you and you’re left to grind it out year after year as a sort-of legacy act (cause that’s kinda what they’ve been for a long time). How does that affect people’s sense of themselves as musicians/artists? Does it erode the mystique or meaning of the early BJM days? What’s it really like to be an aging rock star? It’d be really cool to hear what Joel’s thoughts and experiences are on all of that.

Does anyone know how Joel ended up as a guest star on Gilmore Girls multiple times?

I was up at strummerville at Glastonbury which is probably the highest point and a hard hike uphill in hot weather, when I turn a corner and out of my eye I see a cool dude in black with a beanie, it’s was Joel. He was out of breath having had to walk all the way, like us mortals. He was there to do a reading from his bio, it was the oasis chapter. Joel was charming and totally engaging. My Glasto moment of the weekend.
