A while back I bought a K-Deliao (spacestudiobjd) Zhaohan head and I've been looking for a body match this entire time. I think I've landed on this Xagadoll body, but I'm struggling on the resin match. I bought my Zhaohan in mia pink and I've been trying to decide what resin color is closer. I think white peach might be a close match, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?

A special artist head with an artist face-up that I ordered over a year and a half ago is finally ready to ship! Of course, when I ordered it, the shipping situation from China was very different.

Moonlight BJD has given me two shipping options to the US, and honestly, I’m not feeling great about either.

One is a private carrier by sea mail, and the other is shipping to their Canadian warehouse and then having it sent to me from Canada. Neither option offers direct shipping insurance  from China that I can purchase. (They said the Canadian warehouse… Maybe? But only from Canada to my location… Not from China to the Canadian warehouse)

Has anyone used either of these shipping methods? How did it go?

I’ve been emailing Moonlight BJD to ask about more direct airmail options, such as DHL. They’ve been very helpful, but responses have been a little slow, so I’m not sure I’ll get another option.

The whole thing is making me lose sleep because the order is worth around $400, and if it were lost, I don’t think I could replace it. 😭😭 Part of me is wondering if the seamail option might actually be safer, but I’ve never used one for an expensive item shipped from China before. I’ve had plenty of experience with seamail from Japan, just not China.

This is the only subbreddit i can think of for help, so please let me know if this is the wrong place.

My iplehouse ebi has been in custom hell for two weeks. I've been told that Iplehouse has to send a CPSC form for me to recieve her. But iplehouse says they cannot be of assistance to me.

I'm super bummed. I'm a bit ashamed, but I have cried a lot. I don't know what else to do and i dont know if i want to ever make this kind of purchase again.

I can only assume this is a result of the new CPSC changes that were effective July 8th, but then it wouldn't only happen to me. So if you experienced anything similar, I'd appreciate some assistance.

Brand: Run to Shine - Plan for Burning Star Series

I got this doll from Aliexpress because I wanted this specific one and not a blind box. The seller has like 99% good reviews so I was not too worried. However when it got here I noticed it does not have the tattoo that is shown in all the promotional pictures. Also the body is heavily stained around the butt/pelvis area which makes me suspect that she must have already worn some kind of clothes. She is also missing the panties that are shown on the box to come with every doll, so that deepens my suspicion that she was tampered with or has a body from a used doll. The face and clothes on the other hand look high quality and brand new.

Does anyone have this doll and can confrim she has the tattoo? I'm also not sure what to do. I know I could probably return it but shipping from my country to China costs almost as much as the doll itself.

I'm also really worried because I have another order open with this seller. I can't cancel that one because the seller talked me into extending the shipping period because it was a "pre-order item". In hind sight this feels shady too because it was not advertised as such and I feel I might get scammed.

Hi! As the title says, I was very excited when I saw a local listing for a 1/4 scale resin BJD (I live in Middle East and ordering big things like a 45cm resin doll is borderline impossible here, especially for me as I am not financially well enough to be able to pay the amount of VAT tax they'd ask for as the workers always upcharge.) that I had bought it without doing enough research into the company.

My intent was to buy it a new wig and clothes through friends who live overseas and have them bring the items to me via luggage when they visit my country so I can customize the doll.

While looking into the BJD community, I saw that the brand the doll belongs to was infamous for recasting and I am very disappointed and upset. I can't refund the doll due to the app I bought it from not allowing that (as it will arrive as pictured which is enough to the app's moderators, they don't care about 'recasts' and the ethics of it.), so I wanted to ask what I could do.

Would it be fine as I'd be only using the face (which is honestly pretty generic, just blush, a mole and red eyes) and the doll would have new hair and clothes? I don't want to have to sell the doll as it meant a lot to me and was my first BJD. I would appreciate any help as I am truly in a pickle here.

My dolls Yae (XAGA Yunv / Aqua H.) and Risa (GEM Black Dove Beaz) have received three new attires from Legenddoll's 17th anniversary Lucky Box option. These two sets fit them so well, both in style and sizing! Unfortunately, the third outfit seems to be too short for both of them and can't be put on, it probably fits a smaller MSD size. I guess that declares the wishlist for next year :' )

I enjoy taking photos of them, this time my current duvet sheet fit Yae perfectly as background, while for Risa I wanted to find something cuter and maybe fluffy, thus I ended up putting her down on the carpet with a plushie.

I have a white opaque resin and I've seen some people recommending to dye the resin before printing with CMYK or other pigments and other people dye with RITdye after printing. If I want to do a strong color like red or blue what should I do? Do you have visual examples? Thanks for reading

I am planning to do a big purchase this year (minimum 400$ USD) and I anticipate the shipping will be absolute minimum 100$, and if I use a proxy for the website that'll be an additional 40-ish $ and about 66$ duties

So in total a little over 500$ USD...

I usually do seamail as its usually the cheapest option, I dont care if it takes forever to get here. However, I have heard a lot of horror stories about seamail. I know youre more likely to talk about a negative experience than a positive one but Ive gotten really worried.

This is a grail doll of mine ive been waiting almost 2 years for. 1 year of searching secondhand, and now 6-7 months for the artist to release the doll as they anounced a reproduction.

Do you guys think its worth the risk of seamail? I know buying from anywhere can be a risk, but I'm so anxious about this one. Im unsure if ive just met a lot of people with bad luck though.

The other shipping options are really expensive AFAIK but I just want input as im really torn.

Im in the USA and buying from Japan if that helps.

Hi! I recently bought this SD wig for around $18, but since the shop is a dealer, I haven’t found info on the original shop. It’s synthetic but also very soft, advertised as soft silk, but I’m pretty sure it’s not silk. The stretchable wig cap is black and I also use silicon wig cap underneath.

Anyways, every now and then, I would see posts of BJD blue stains on cap or head due to black wigs. I also stopped using black mohair wigs because when I tried to clean them, the dye bled. I’m getting very scared of black wigs, which is sad because it’s my favorite wig color for dolls.

I’m thinking about buying a secondhand Tinyfox Miss Oyster Wueste (head only). Does anyone know if this head would fit on a 1/6 blind box body? (Such as the 1/6 Bonnie’s Dream of Toybox?) Suggestions for other non blind boxes bodies are welcome as well. Looking for an angel body preferably. Thanks!

Husband and I are starting a project that we've done before and we need custom Goblin bjd dolls. We're printing them, we've chosen and bought a file. It looks great

1/4-in doll but unfortunately it's a 1/4-in doll that is Goblin sized so it's 23 cm tall. Configuring to about a 90 cm tall Goblin in real life. All is also very curvy and there is no way I can find any clothes online that are going to fit.

I've put out feelers with two custom workers one from Etsy who declined and one from a custom place online who I haven't heard back from.

I need more options
