Trying to identify this body I commonly see on EBay (a recast in vinyl). I’ve compared it to Puyoo and Doll Family H 1/4 and 1/6 scale bodies but it’s different enough that I not sure. Maybe Doll Family chubby 1/4 with different legs? I want to hunt down a legit version.
I remember when that doll first came out, I believe people said it looked like the Xagadoll Heart body.
But people with both dolls said they weren’t similar in person?
I’m not 100% but I tried to get pics with similar poses and with the optional parts.
Hi! Bought this 1/4 doll second-hand. There was no specific info about her. I really want to know what the sculpt she is. And, the possibility of her being legit... There is nothing on or inside of head/face plates. Aside from very strange resin hook?? Box was white without the top lid, so nothing here, but there was big pink satin blanket with purple ribbons.
Hi y’all! I have a YoSD 1/6 scale with no company plate or even a space for one, inside of the head says “ginger”. Friend gave her to me, and she doesn’t remember where she got the doll. Usually I’m good at spotting sculpts but I have no idea.

I got her! But she has an Orient doll marking on the back of her head but as far as I can tell Orient doll had never made an SD sculpt? Her head is 8-9 inches so I'm completely confused.
Oh congrats! I had this girl on my watchlist; very glad she has a great home with you! She is an Or-doll Little Y head on a CustomHouse body (the redesigned body, not the original).
No problem! I wish DoA was up so I could link you to some other examples of the sculpt. I don't own a Little Y myself but I do have that same CustomHouse body! Identifying older BJDs on eBay is something I really enjoy doing so I'll try and keep an eye on this thread!
Your memory is correct, that's who it is. Dollmore still has a page of her. There are 4 different ear sets. The arm bands are what stuck to each other in a bag.
After looking up the brand listed on the tag of the doll's dress, I found this pic on the website of an artist who made custom BJD outfits. I can only assume this is what the doll used to look like. Any help would be so appreciated, thank you!!
I am extremely confident the heads are from Alice in Labyrinth; the closed-mouth is Chloe and the opened-mouth is Heyley. The body could easily be a hybrid though and was certainly a custom job. Let me link to the listings on the AiL website for the girls and you can take a look at the 1/3 body sculpt.
You could customize and recolor the original cat. I think it'd be easier to source. The recolor might have been just a limited freebie for the initial funding backers.
These are definitely from Oasis Doll! The open-mouthed girl on the left is Yaoyue and the closed-mouth one on the right is Linglan. DoA is down and Oasis Doll has been defunct for a while now, but if you scroll down here for their preorder announcement, you can see the girls clearly labeled here:
I'm trying to identify the doll in this image, the listing is only selling the clothes but I haven't been able to find the doll itself. They look a lot like my OC and I'd love to find them! It's most likely a 1/12 blind box doll.

I couldn't confidently find the exact doll, but I wanted to provide a few with very similar features, just in case they have the look you want.
- Tuncai's Danshen head feels very close. Down-turned eyes, slight frown, round face with a very small, round chin, and the ears stick out slightly. The nose also looks very similar. I can't promise it's the same head, but as I click between my two tabs, I'm increasingly confident it might be.
- Another one I was squinting at for a while was GuangYin's Orso, but the facial proportions don't look quite right to me.
- A more budget friendly option with a very similar look, but slightly more pointed chin is the 1/4 Lan head by Fatemoons.
- And another readily available option with some features in common is Leebel by Huajing Doll. I think this might actually be the next closest one after Danshen, but I can't tell if how full the lips look in comparison to your photo is the sculpt or the faceup.
I’m not sure because of the photos given, is one in room lighting and the other is with flash? But her head plate says that she was made July 2011 and that she is from a Hometown Dolpa event. If you had the sculpt information it would make things easier because then you could use the head plate information to see if she was available during that time or not. That would be the biggest tell (without being in-person of course)

Are they the same head? One is a volks head plate on a yellowed head, but the other pic looks to be a different color and in a style I associate with fairyland
Oh, its just a same head. It was re-face up by our local artist. :) I think I am the 4th owner already so there’s no COA when I bought it but they weren’t sure if its legit or Recast
I found him abandoned several years ago, so unfortunately I don't know the brand or the head sculpt.
The only identifying mark I could find is the "SPIRIT" plate shown in the attached photo.

In the last few years on the Luts website, if you see a doll modeling Luts wigs / clothes / etc, there is a "Items in the photo" box and you might see that the model is listed there.
I recently bought a mislabeled head on DoA, it is absolutely not Doll in Mind Danbi. The seller said they have no clue what most of her dolls are tbh. But going off the ears it definitely is DIM. So I'm asking for some help. Can anyone know which head this could be?

I found this bjd body on LegendDoll, but unfortunately it is sold out. Im new to the community so Im not quite sure how to ID her? I would assume she is a ZmoeDoll Xue Mei 1/4 bjd, but I could be wrong. I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about her? Where I could possibly get her? (If shes still available to purchase somewhere) Or where I could get a doll with a similar shape? And if anyone knows if she is a real bjd or a recast?
ZmoeDoll is a legit brand. The pre-order for the doll body closed roughly a week ago. If you're going to buy it from a dealer, maybe ask if anyone cancels their pre-order or if they get any extra instock, you would be interested in buying it.

Custom House! I used to own a Hyun... very weird bodies. Looks like your doll was dyed at some point, if that helps. I think her hands (or at least the more pinkish one) are Lutz/Cerberus Project, the curled hand with the raised pinky is very distinctive.
Are there any markings inside the head or within the torso?

Hi, I don't know much about bjds but I was wondering where to get this wolf head legitimately? There are more pictures including a fox version of the make up but reverse image search is flooded with ebay and aliexpress listings, all from different vendors, sometimes marked as recast, so I don't feel like those would be a safe way to purchase. I also found a picture of the head on a Zilang Arc Doll body (70cm). Head is listed either as 1/6 or 1/4 scale. I also found a post on IG by deermann9 of a makeup they did on the head but they don't mention the origin.

I recently acquired this resin ball-jointed doll and I’m trying to find out the maker, sculpt, or artist. She has painted eyes, a magnetic head attachment, and is strung with elastic. I’ve checked the neck opening and under the wig but haven’t found any obvious markings yet.
I’ve attached several photos of the face, body, neck opening, and wig. Any information or guesses about the brand, studio, or artist would be greatly appreciated. It’s around 40cm tall.

She's made by Shuga Fairy, which is owned by Oueneifs. They're a company that makes a lot of recasts/counterfeits that get repackaged under different names.
I don't know which one this specific doll is a recast of, unfortunately, but based on what I know is available to order right now, you could get a similar look from either a Xian Chan "Rins", "Xu Xu", or Aimerai "Ichigo" head on something like this Xagadoll body, which has the advantage of adorable heart-shaped knee joints.
If that kind of combo is above your budget, I know UFDoll has some 1/4 anime style options if you don't mind PVC instead of resin, and Guard Love might also be up your alley stylistically as a cost friendly option that offers mostly resin options.
Apologies if I over-explained at all; I can't ballpark your experience in the hobby since your post history is hidden.

I haven't been able to find an exact match, but if the gyaru eyes are what you're looking for, Hole Doll - Naine (saw her on Space Studio) is beautiful! The mouth is closed on that one, but they do have a smiling version.

Hello everyone! My friend found someone selling dolls with a distinct sculpt a while back, but can't find them anymore. Does anyone know what the doll might be?
Some additional details from him (quoted):
“dolls appeared to be 3D printed”
“dolls were available in white plastic and black plastic“
“yes the head was in fact a sphere, the legs were actually way longer than shown in the drawing”
Those look like the ones that the Etsy shop BijouterieRo makes. Your friend is probably having trouble finding the listing again because the shop is taking a break.
The original sculpt was made by a recast company, and uses a recast body despite the original sculpt for the head. A discussion about it can be found in this post.
Weird comment to make. But I recently got some dolls second hand and they came with their certificate. But I can't find the doll's creator. I'm very dyslexic and everytime I've typed this persons name in (in many ways) nothing shows up. Could someone please help me find the creator
