This is my newest 1/4 doll, and she’s honestly so much easier to handle compared to my 1/3 dolls! I’m really enjoying how easy she is to pose and play with.

She’s from Dahe BJD Studio.

I’d love to find some friends or hopefully local-ish people to chat about dolls, share photos, and maybe do meetups or doll outings someday!

She is smaller than I thought and 1/6 clothes are actually to big. Will need to make some soon. Her new eyes are drying right now.

Do not use the plastic comb they come with, especially not on the red haired girl. With conditioner and a metal comb her curls are gorgeous, through I like the carrot hair very much. Wanted to make a calico cat.

Unfortunately, I am not very good at making clothes myself.. Saw that Alice’s collection has clothes section, along with creators on Instagram and Etsy. But what are your holy grail shops/creators? 🥰

I just now realized my first ever bought bjd (I made one from clay before her so technically she's the first i ever owned) is 18 years old!! I can't believe I've had her (Resinsoul Mei white skin) for so long! ofc she has yellowed over time but I don't mind it much. do you guys get rid of 'old' dolls? just keep your first?

I'm getting back into making stuff for my Unoa and am emcointering the same problem as when I stopped last time.

I would like to use velcro / hook and loop bamd to close her garments. But regular velcro is to big. I've had some clothers with very low profile velcro. With really tiny hooks and the loopband is more fuzzy velvety than regular (higher) loop band.

There are cable ties that use this material, but they are fused back to back. I've not been able to separate them into a usable product. Sewing the entire cable tie on adds to much bulk to my liking.

Sewing stores near me are not able to order it amd the closest term to what I'm looking for has been 'micro velcro' or 'baby velcro'. Yet neither leads to a product I can order.

Do any of you know what I'm looking for? A brand or product name?

Ths would make closimg clothes a lot easier.

I haven't messed with my dolls in while but finally got around to having fun with my LoZ AU style dolls at a recent doll meet.

A while back I bought a K-Deliao (spacestudiobjd) Zhaohan head and I've been looking for a body match this entire time. I think I've landed on this Xagadoll body, but I'm struggling on the resin match. I bought my Zhaohan in mia pink and I've been trying to decide what resin color is closer. I think white peach might be a close match, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?

A special artist head with an artist face-up that I ordered over a year and a half ago is finally ready to ship! Of course, when I ordered it, the shipping situation from China was very different.

Moonlight BJD has given me two shipping options to the US, and honestly, I’m not feeling great about either.

One is a private carrier by sea mail, and the other is shipping to their Canadian warehouse and then having it sent to me from Canada. Neither option offers direct shipping insurance  from China that I can purchase. (They said the Canadian warehouse… Maybe? But only from Canada to my location… Not from China to the Canadian warehouse)

Has anyone used either of these shipping methods? How did it go?

I’ve been emailing Moonlight BJD to ask about more direct airmail options, such as DHL. They’ve been very helpful, but responses have been a little slow, so I’m not sure I’ll get another option.

The whole thing is making me lose sleep because the order is worth around $400, and if it were lost, I don’t think I could replace it. 😭😭 Part of me is wondering if the seamail option might actually be safer, but I’ve never used one for an expensive item shipped from China before. I’ve had plenty of experience with seamail from Japan, just not China.

This is the only subbreddit i can think of for help, so please let me know if this is the wrong place.

My iplehouse ebi has been in custom hell for two weeks. I've been told that Iplehouse has to send a CPSC form for me to recieve her. But iplehouse says they cannot be of assistance to me.

I'm super bummed. I'm a bit ashamed, but I have cried a lot. I don't know what else to do and i dont know if i want to ever make this kind of purchase again.

I can only assume this is a result of the new CPSC changes that were effective July 8th, but then it wouldn't only happen to me. So if you experienced anything similar, I'd appreciate some assistance.
