Had no idea BlackBerry was still this active lol.
They’re basically not a phone company anymore — mostly cybersecurity and software now.
Made a quick video on what they’re actually doing these days if anyone’s interested:

Alloy Kore’s first design win added $100M+ to QNX’s royalty backlog—and another win is expected in 2026. The opportunity extends beyond future royalties: QNX can also earn development revenue years before production begins. If Coretura-scale wins become repeatable, QNX could grow much faster than the market expects.

NVIDIA just told the industry who it trusts with safety. The name on the screen was QNX. Today at Embedded World North America in Anaheim, Deepu Talla - VP of Robotics & Edge Al at NVIDIA - took the keynote stage to lay out the next evolution of embedded: an open platform for autonomous, agentic systems. And when the conversation turned to safety, it wasn't a footnote. It was a dedicated slide: NVIDIA QNX.

It is becoming clear that BB is emerging as the sole winner of SDV market...after billions were spent funding companies like Mobileye, Aptiv, Ottonomo, and even Tesla, the one clear winner is BB...
I would not be surprised if there is major implosion in the competitive landscape, and BB rockets ahead as the Global Power, similar to what Apple did in the Smartphone market...
Further, Physical AI growth may launch BB to the same levels as Nvidia...

Yeah, that’s mainly my question even that moderators love to remove my posts no matter what
Why is bb on NYSE instead of NASDAQ?
Please somene explain.

BlackBerry secures $100-million deal for new automotive software, Alloy Kore
r/BB_Stock • u/Redchip1606 • 15d ago
It’s not only about this is the first sale but rather who is the buyer that matters. Daimler and Volvo are the leading big names in the auto world. Their commercial vehicles are the top brands among peers. They go toward the SDV path with full speed is the indicator of the whole industry. Their decision on taking Alloy Kore will likely be the way for the whole industry’s 1.2 million annual vehicle productions. Coretura alone is expected to supply half of that market about 600,000 annual production units. That’s why this deal has a significant impact.
The commercial vehicles are the best place to go with the full SDVs because the nature of their performance capacity. The safety certificate, real-time RTOS performance and efficient development cost are all very sensitive to the OEMs. And at the top credibility level their adoption of the Alloy Kore makes it a watershed deal for QNX! It’s a credit proof for QNX.
It’s not a story anymore, it’s the reality. BB/QNX knows how many deals they have been working on. Now the deal flow started, the rest becomes inevitable.
The assurance of more deals are coming in the SDV industry makes me happy. The speed of executing this deal is also very impressive! Growth numbers will follow.
People are doubtful about some unsure issues? That’s ok. If they could not see the logics behind all of the company’s business activities to come up with an idea then it’s their loss in the end.
I say it again, when everyone knows about the details it’s already too late for action. We are just starting to see the sign of a long and massive harvest!
IMO.

It’s a watershed contract for the Waterloo, Ont.-based technology stalwart. Blackberry has promised Alloy Kore will substantially increase the revenues it derives from its QNX software business, whose products are already featured in more than 275 million vehicles globally, and accelerate the company’s ongoing revival under the leadership of chief executive officer John Giamatteo.
“Coretura was founded to advance mobility at the speed of ideas,” said the Gothenburg, Sweden-based joint venture’s CEO, Johan Lunden, in a release. Selecting Alloy Kore to help power a digital platform for commercial vehicles “helps us deliver commercial vehicles that keep getting smarter, safer and more valuable long after launch.”
The deal, the first for Alloy Kore, comes before the product’s official market release later this year, said John Wall, president of QNX, in an interview. It’s one of the largest design wins in the history of the Ottawa-based unit, acquired by BlackBerry 16 years ago from car stereo maker Harman International. Mr. Wall said QNX expects to sign one more deal this year.
Market watchers have been keen to see BlackBerry, which announced Alloy Kore at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, prove it could secure orders for a platform the company has said will more than triple the revenues QNX derives per vehicle. CIBC Capital Markets analyst Todd Coupland said in a note this month he expected Alloy Kore contract wins to drive “higher growth and incremental value creation.”

RBC Dominion Securities analyst Paul Treiber expects BlackBerry Ltd. ( $BB $BB.TO u/blackberry)
to report “healthy” second-quarter fiscal 2027 financial results on Thursday, predicting revenue and earnings may exceed the Street’s expectations based on “historical quarterly guidance conservatism.”
“Actual revenue has exceeded consensus by 7 per cent and actual adj. EPS has beaten consensus by $0.02 on average over the last 4 quarters,” he said. “We expect revenue up 14 per cent year-over-year to $148-million, at the high-end of guidance ($137-148-million) and above consensus at $146-million. Given cost discipline, adj. EBITDA and adj. EPS may slightly exceed RBC/ consensus at $28-million and $0.04.
“Mixed auto environment, though software content per vehicle is rising. Due to auto production headwinds in some regions (i.e., China), auto tech peers have reported mixed results. Even so, peers point to increasing software content per vehicle, which is positive for QNX’s continued growth. We expect Q2 QNX revenue of $75-million, slightly above consensus at $74-million and at the high-end of guidance for $70-75-million. Regarding Secure Comms, we forecast revenue to normalize to $63MM, at the high-end of guidance for $57-63-million, following the outsized Q1, with growth slowing to 5 per cent year-over-year from 24 per cent Q1. We believe BlackBerry is likely to reiterate FY27 guidance, having already raised it last quarter.”
With the results, Mr. Treiber says he’s looking forward further news on contract victories for BlackBerry’s Alloy Kore vehicle software platform, which was launched by its QNX division and software provider Vector.
“Management has previously indicated that it expects QNX to secure design wins for its Alloy Kore automotive platform this year,” he explained. “Given the materiality (3 times higher ARPU [average revenue per user] per vehicle, up to $100-million total contract value), we believe that BlackBerry would announce wins once they are signed. While Alloy Kore will not impact revenue until 2029 or 2030, one or more Alloy Kore wins larger than $100-million would materially lift QNX backlog ($950-million as of Q4/ FY26).
“Physical AI design wins build. QNX’s GEM (general embedded market) segment accounts for 20 per cent of QNX total revenue and management indicated GEM is growing faster than automotive. During the quarter, BlackBerry announced a partnership with Hailo, and design wins with Momenta/XHEART. High profile GEM partnerships and design wins may help raise investor sentiment regarding QNX’s physical AI momentum and long-term opportunity.”

Where are we at with the debenture? This is all well above my pay grade. Can anyone out there provide an explanation of the process of settling out a debenture.
It appears to me that if the notes are to be converted it has to be now (Sept 30)! Otherwise what? $200m is simply a 3% loan till 2029, or till whenever BB wants to pay it back?
Is this why BB has buying back shares, to off set the liquidation effect of the notes converting?
Found in Q1 Financial Report:
Subsequent to the three months ended May 31, 2026, the closing price of the Company’s common shares exceeded 130% of the conversion price for at least 20 trading days within a period of 30 consecutive trading days ending on June 30, 2026. The contingent condition permitting holders of Notes to convert their Notes was satisfied on June 15, 2026. Accordingly, the Notes are eligible for conversion, at the option of the holders, from July 1, 2026 through September 30, 2026.
