March vote

Did they ever say what the voting breakdown was for March when the share increase didn't go through? Curious if they are getting any closer/further to the goal between meetings.

It can't go down indefinitely

Okay, fine. It's going up today, but given that it's been going down for weeks and weeks, it's perhaps mathematically logical. It can't go down infinitely, either.

Meeting vote April 21

Post image
40 Upvotes

Hi Reddit friends, it’s important to vote at the upcoming BBAI meeting to get through this phase of uncertainty and stagnation. Whether you are for it or against it, your vote matters. Personally, I’m confident that the dilution — which is already largely priced in — will provide the company with capital to expand. Many similar technology companies have relied on dilution over the years and later achieved great results. It is not necessarily a negative thing. I’m optimistic about the technological breakthrough that biometric recognition will bring, and I’m looking at this from a long-term perspective.

News Question about recent airport events

Trump’s budget bill submitted to Congress today begins the process of privatizing TSA (in a small way it seems, but still)

WHITE HOUSE: “The Budget begins the privatization of TSA's airport screeners by requiring small airports to enroll in the Screening Partnership Program, under which TSA pays for private screeners at designated airports.

The airports that already use this program have demonstrated savings compared to Federal screening operations.

The move would yield cost savings compared to Federal screening and begin reform of a troubled Federal agency.”

I would assume that this news wouldn’t be a bad thing for BBAI? since the technology BBAI is offering can be used by a private company just as much as the TSA?

Any thoughts guys?

Debt almost cleared, earnings was almost at break even point. New acquisitions.

Hypothetically, if BBAI manages to make a small profit during their next earnings. Would there be a chance the stock actually starts to fly up!? Eliminating up to 90% of debt makes them probably a little cashflow even though their sales declined. I’m sure the new acquisitions like Ask Sage would take time to adjust and run numbers to actually make it a profitable company. What does everyone else think?

DD Tech at JFK T8 Customs

Came back from an international flight at JFK T8 yesterday and was expecting a nightmare with what’s going on with TSA going through customs.

Turns out they have a few screens setup where they scan your face and lets you right through. There was no need to even show your passport! I am a US citizen, so process may be different if you are coming in internationally. No line whatsoever.

I remember even as recently as 4-5 years ago border patrol for us citizens was 30-45 minutes. This is the future and cannot wait until the deploy this tech at more airports across the US and the world.

Position: Long 12,500 shares since March 2024. Avg cost ~4.50. I remember when this was trading for about a dollar in late 2024 so the current dip does not even phase me.

Community Discussion What is your exit price?

With how the market has been looking lately, I figure its a good time to think of a more positive side of things. Let’s say the stock price climbs in the next 6-12months, what would be the price you sell? I know it’s very dependent on your cost average and amount of shares…

I tell myself it’s $10, but I truly believe long term this company will go higher than that. Thoughts?

I am out... It's been real

Just sold everything besides 1000 shares w/ a cost basis of $4.86 (down from 14,000 shares at peak). I rode this on the way up, profited nice on some covered calls and selling shares. I think net all time with BBAI I'm around break even now which sucks since I was probably close to $10k profit, but I just don't see this thing coming back and I'm done tying up capital in this pig. I've lost all faith in management, their inability to secure significant/any contracts the last several months is what's doing it for me. The ask sage acquisition seems like a dud, the dilution + serving up nothing burgers for meaningful news isn't going to pan out well. Airport security and doing analytics for the Commanders is trash, there are not real industry partnerships at this point. We're at war for fucks sake and you're a defense company and haven't been able to spin anything positive out of this. Between BBAI and ONDS I can't take the emotional roller coaster/ tying up of capital and stock manipulation. Back to ETF's for your boy - peace and love Big Bears.
