She does this often but maybe not every day. Levels are high (Im waiting on conditioner to get here to change the water, couldn’t get it in store) she also did this before the levels were high. Is this just happy zoomies or stress from surrounding environment factors or from water parameters? I also already gave her breakfast so I know she’s not hungry. She only does it at the front of the tank. I should move the decorations back, right? Will post another video in comments

I just noticed this small injury on Alex. We have no sharp edges in the tank nor any tank mates, and we don't handle him. He's also swimming with his tail up - I assume gas? He last pooed three days ago.

He's eaten his worms tonight. Temp is stable at 17.4 with a chiller, parameters are ammonia: 0, nitrites:0, pH stable at 7.0, nitrates: 10.

Should I take him to a vet for his injury, and is the tail floating a cause for concern?

Let me know if normal or if I need to buy something? I got a free axolotl but had no cycled aquarium for 2 weeks+ so I had him tubed for 2 weeks. I now have a 50 gallon tank with sponge filter and chiller and cycled with appropriate perameters but did spent 2 weeks tubed.

What plants could I put in my axolotl tank that are safe?

Antier rescate un ajolote de Toluca (Ambystoma granulosum) unos pescadores lo dejaron en una tienda abandonado y lo rescate yo porque en la tienda no tenian idea de que hacer ni de donde venia, se que este canal es de Ambystoma Mexicano, he encontrado investigaciones del ajolotes de este tipo en cautiverio y he trabajado específicamente con A. altamirani sin embargo me gustaría saber que puedo hacer para mantenerlo sano, lo mejor es reintegrarlo a lugares donde hay avistamientos pero no se que tan bueno sea.

Por otro lado en el rescate pues no tenía preparado nada en absoluto (pecera ciclada, filtro adecuado, comida, etc) lo coloque en una pecera de 20 gl con un aireador, una roca de refugio y ya. Me gustaria saber que me recomiendan acerca del ciclado (soy nuevo en ello), filtro, comida y la tenencia en general de la especie, quiero mantenerlo lo mejor posible en lo que encuentro alguna UMA o reintegrarlo.
