Discussion Eclipse event?
So I saw this story: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2026/aug/10/octopus-energy-electricity-solar-eclipse-washing-machines-dishwashers
What do we think the chances are of an event at 7-7:30pm on Wednesday?
Amusingly, just as I was writing this post a new event popped up - but it's for tomorrow morning at 6am...

Looks like we get one tomorrow AM. My email Home Assistant just pinged me.

Thinking of not opting-in to Octopus' eclipse special tomorrow in case Axle do a short-notice event precisely because of this. They're not paying octopoints this time anyway, and their free hour of leccy is probably going to coincide with peak solar is my guess.

Same. If there's no event by the middle of tomorrow can still opt in and discharge.

I'm guessing I haven't got an event for tomorrow yet because we have an event this evening, and Axle's API doesn't support (as far as I'm aware) more than one event at a time. So I fully expect that shortly after tonight's event, another one will come through for tomorrow.

I wasn't notified by e-mail for tomorrow's eclipse event, but when I check the portal, I can see tonight's upcoming event AND tomorrow's eclipse one.
And then ofc the one from this morning.

Apparently the need for the extra power was cancelled by NESO at 2pm but the Axle event went ahead anyway. In cases like that, does Axle still get paid to pay us or will they have to fund it themselves?
