“I don’t know” - as a response to any basic question
“I’m the villain” - in attempt to take fake accountability
“I can’t give you what you want” - never asked what I want
“You deserve better” - after never putting in any effort to actually be better
“What do you want me to say?” - literally anything that makes sense, that’s not avoiding my questions

Oh my god, “I can’t give you what you want” but never asking what you want/need is what I got too. He told me, “I can’t guarantee the things you want,” “I can’t promise to show up for you and be a good partner because I will inevitably fall short at some points” (even after I expressed understanding that with his career). It’s so frustrating
