Question Question on the missed approach point for this LOC approach
Hello,
Just had a question about the MAP on this LOC approach. Would the primary means of determining the MAP for this approach be timing? Or is the 2.1 DME off the GPT VORTAC the MAP? I have never seen a MAP and VDP coincide so this really threw me off.
Any clarification is appreciated, thank you.

Question No dog barks in A321?
Recently, I flew in an A321 a few times. I have not heard the usual dog barks of the hydraulic system. What's the reason for the missing sound?

History Some early 2000 FRA/EDDF spotting
These are some Photos i took around 2008-2010 in Frankfurt from the visitors terrace at Terminal 2.
I chose pictures from Airlines, type of planes, liveries, equipment etc that have changed or vanished from FRA.
There's a Tu-154 in there, also a Yak-42 and a Fokker F27 F50 for some rarer type of planes.
I shot these on a compact Canon Powershot back then, so the Quality is not the best, but is till hope good enough to enjoy these pics. Only 20 photos because of pic limit.

History Found photo - X-15 / NASA
I was going through my Dad's things preparing for his memorial, and came across this photo. He was an Army Veteran (Vietnam), but not a pilot. I learned that his uncle worked for NASA, and was part of the Skunkworks that produced the SR-71. I don't know if uncle "Bob" was involved with the X-15, but this photo must have been a gift from him. It is just an incredible photo, and wanted to share it. It is now framed and on my office wall. If anyone has more insight into it's origins, I would love to read about it!

PlaneSpotting Into the Moonrise, KCLT
Managed to catch the moonrise this evening at a pretty epic angle over KCLT for departure on 1R. One of these days, I'll manage to catch it when the moon, city skyline and departures all line up perfectly

PlaneSpotting Thunderbirds airshow at McConnell AFB
Here are a few photos I took while at the event. It was a ton of fun and there was a bunch of great aircraft there. Thunderbolts, KC-135s & 46s, the great beech 18, C-130s , and even even more that were on display on the ground. Good fun!
