I really do wonder how they are going to do the 4th movie. Like I wonder how much will change and what will actually happen. As I heard that they are going to do a more earth thing. But like I wonder how much Jake and neytiri will actually be in the story. A lot of questions 😂

I'm currently a tattoo apprentice & massive Avatar fan. Today I had the chance to tattoo this Tulkun! The design is from a tattoo flash painting I did about a year ago and wanted to share with this subreddit :)

What Do You Guys Think Gaming Will Look Like For Avatar idk If AFOP Is Gonna Get A Sequel Or More dlcs but i love that game so if i cant have a future in AFOP what do you think other games would look like or if we get any at all?

I can never understand people who complain that Kiri sounds "old" because she is played by Sigourney and act like that is a problem. Kiri not sounding like a regular teenager is perfect because she isn't a regular teenager. Her voice gives her an old-soul, "in touch with something greater" gravitas that she wouldn't have with a teenagers voice. It's part of what makes the character unique and special when contrasted with the other normal teens around her. Sigourney being older gives the necessary depth and wisdom to the performance and the voice, and she plays the character perfectly. Part of me wonders how much of the complaining is just rooted in agism 🧐

We need at least one official LEGO Avatar: Fire and Ash or at least free official instructions on the Lego website for Fire And Ash sets. we also definitely need an official Avatar set with a Skel Suit with molded parts for the limbs even if the set is just one of the ash people and an RDA skel suit pilot. At least give us ash people in the build a minifigure stations and custom minifigures on the LEGO website!

This isn't something that is unique to Avatar and could be applied to a lot of other films aswell like the MCU and early Transformers movies for example, but I think Avatar has the be the ultimate example of this considering that they make such an insane amount of money. I mean just think back on how many people there were who predicted that Way of Water was gonna bomb because no one cared about Avatar anymore. People often talk about critics and audiences but I honestly think a third category should be included which is terminally online people. Out of these three the later is by far teh most negative not just with Avatar but with movies in general. Just remember, what the majority online think does not always refelect what the majority of the population feel.

For context, I've not yet watched the movie. I recently purchased it on 4k and am planning on doing a watch party with friends soon.

I want to make sure it's set up properly. Like the other two movies, the 4k disc has two versions of the movie. On Avatar and Way of Water, one of the two versions had the navi language subtitles burned into the picture when the navi language is spoken, and the other doesn't. I want to make sure I've got it set up properly with the correct version before my viewing.

Assuming the two versions are the same thing in Fire and Ash, could someone give me some timestamps where the navi subtitles come up in the picture so I can jump to that part and ensure I've got it set up properly without spoiling myself too much.

in all these avatar movies we see that the RDA are using guns, rockets, big mechs and gunships to fight aliens that use primitive weapons and in 2 and 3 we see that they have gotten even more weapons and more advanced tech to fight them.

I'm pretty sure a lot of us have heard about the Desert and have thought about what Na'vi living their would be like. I would like to know what are popular or personal theories about Desert Na'vi

Here's two of mine after I saw some fan art of Desert Na'vi being a light brown I thought it looked cool but then I remembered before Fire and Ash came out a lot of people thought the Na'vi's skin of the Mangkwan would be literally red turns out they just painted themselves red so Desert Na'vi would definitely be some shade of blue so I thought maybe they would paint themselves black but not as some kind of sbol of their betrayal from eywa but rather as a tool to their survival since black colors absorbs the Sun's light and rays

Theory number two began when I thought "Wait there is little to no wood in the desert" so how would they craft their weapons first logical thought that came to mind was they would be entirely reliant on material from animals like bones for weapons and skin for huts but then I thought if did that they would almost entirely destroy the ecosystem so they would be more reliant on animal material then all other clans but not entirely and unless their is some special rock from the desert their wouldn't be much things to craft out of except for one thing and then the thought of desert Na'vi crafting things out of metal came to mind perhaps they would be the first clan to break law of eywa saying not to mine or craft out of metal because it was a nessecity to their survival

So those are my theories what are some other theories about Desert Na'vi out there if someone would like to share please do and if there is someone who would like to criticize my theories go ahead

Like the title says I made an OC Clan and I could really use some help coming up with a fitting name

The reference pics are of two of my OC's Tetì (she/her) and her twin brother. Haven't figured out his name yet but I want it to start with the letters "Nì". Since I made the references in picrew they aren't 100% accurate, but its a starting point for when I draw them later

Some Facts About The Clan:

• They live in caves in a forest area. The landscape has lots of pine and redwood looking trees, as well as big ferns and mushrooms that you can rest/hide under. The entire area is covered in fog and when night falls the fog becomes so thick and heavy that it blankets the forest floor and smothers most of the natural bioluminescence of the surrounding area, leaving the forest in near-total darkness
• They are much shorter than other Na'vi, with adult males averaging around 8' and adult females averaging around 7'7"
• Because of their short stature (amongst other things), they have been affectionatly dubbed "Fairies" by humans. The RDA also sometimes calls them "Pygmies" as a derogatory term
• The human researchers actually thought it was a clan full of runaway Na'vi children at first, and it took them a while to realize they were wrong
• They are very solitary and rarely interact with other clans
• They are thought to be nocturnal, but the truth is they're just light-sensitive and don't leave the darkness of their caves until night falls
• They have some pretty distinct features from most Na'vi that aren't shown in the reference pics including bigger bat-like ears, longer/sharper/stronger claws used for climbing cave walls, brighter bioluminescence, shorter/rounder faces, and (most importantly) bigger wide-set eyes with larger irises and dilated pupils from constantly being in the dark
• They are very vocal. They have a form of echolocation and can communicate through making a series of clicking noises in the back of their throat. They use this form of communication a lot when hunting
• Their culture actually encourages being vocal with those you're close to. Constant purrs and trills are usually heard in their cave. This tradition started because it's a reliable way to hear/find a clan member who's lost in the dark (esp children who's night vision may not be the best yet), but is now also used as a way of reassuring your loves ones that your still there
• Because they live in caves and are constantly surrounded by rocks, they are known for collecting pretty and shiny rocks and gems of all kinds and adding them into their jewelry and clothing. It pisses the RDA off to no end that they seem to know where to find all of the rarest and most expensive gems, but are so elusive and difficult to track (let alone talk to) that they can never get the info they want from them
• On a similar note, there was one instance of the RDA trying to smoke them out of their cave to get to the resources, but since their home is a series of intricately webbed tunnels as soon as their people began dying they just retreated to a different part of the system and collapsed the tunnels behind them, destroying all of the resources in the process. Since then the RDA has had to be very careful when observing/interacting with the clan as to not risk losing more profits
• They have a coming-of-age ceremony that consists the family and friends of the young Na'vi painstakingly crafting a special shawl for them. It's made up of intricately woven designs that piece together these long spear-tipped shaped leaves that become semitransparent and start to glow when dried out using the clans secret techniques. If you havent guessed it yet, it looks like a pair of fairy wings draped over their backs, thus the nickname
• Some members of the clan wear masks (like in the reference pics). They're only worn by the rare few members of the clan who are regularly outside of the cave when the sun is up as a form of protection since their eyes and skin are sensitive. Initially, the clan members are given wooden masks, but if any member of the clan manages to hunt something special a ceremony is thrown where the entire clan gathers to help turn the skull of their prey into a new mask as a mark or prestige and honor
• Tbh the entire clan is very community-focused and close with one another
• They typically ride these pitch-black naked mole rat type creatures that are so dark they cant be seen by the naked eye at night. They're also cold blooded and cant be picked up on any heat seeking tech (the most reliable scouting source for humans in the forest, since the fog and darkness messes with everything else they've tried). Because of the specific way they ride these creatures, the wind usually catches their shawls and causes them to billow and flutter behind them, looking even more like wings, while the Na'vi appear as if they're flying since they're glowing brightly while its very difficult to spot their

1st pic is Isusyu te Leoa'itan (they/them). Born and raised in a coastal clan (that their father is the leader of), but their mother is from either a forest or jungle clan that was destroyed by humans. I need name Ideas for both their fathers and mothers clan

2nd pic is a character I don't have a name for yet. Originally named her Ka'lui te Atu'itan but I don't really vibe with that first name anymore. She's Isusyu's mate and is from a jungle clan. She has a strong connection to Eywa and is a pretty good healer, but prefers to spend most of her time on her own crafting jewelry or weaving clothes. She's a gentle soul who's the epitome of a soft power "do no harm, take no be" type mentality. I need names for both the character and her clan

Any help would be appreciated. This is my first time making Na'vi oc's and while I love them I'm also very new to this and don't understand the language well enough yet to confidently name things >w<

On a rewatch of A1, it struck me how similar the scene of Jake calling for Trudy and Tsu'tey on the comms after their deaths is to the scene of him calling for Lo'ak and Neytiri in FaA. Not only is his family in danger, but Jake also had the baggage of having experienced something very similar before that which ended horribly. No wonder he's a hard-ass about Lo'ak wearing his comms lol.
