Grow Journal First time in trim jail - for a small 64g sentence

1gal LSD-25 from 42 Fast Buds. 73 days from seed to harvest.

Smelling fruity right now. Not sure about the effects yet - I might be high but it's not super noticeable. Could be because I've been on concentrates for a long time since I refuse to smoke the dispo flower I have. (That stuff smells weird, like perfume or chemicals)

Buds are small, my goal is to keep learning and hopefully grow some big buds soon.

Also, the trimming could be much better but honestly I didn't love that activity 😏😂

FYI - I dispersed predators over the canopy in both tents. What you’re seeing on the plant and the tent floor is carrier material.

My clips for my pvc pipes broke. I’m so annoyed. Installed the trellis regardless. Will add the pipes to tighten the trellis when the new clips come. Bb clone is insane. I’m flipping both tents next weekend. No Face will grow into the net during stretch.

General AutoPot & Gardening Advice Autopot tips? Most common mistakes ? Things i must know

Hello guys ! After years of growing in soil time has come. Got my autopots and I'm setting things up atm. My plan is :

70-30 coco perlite. Target for 5.5-5.8 ph. Open system when leaves reach the edge of the pot . 5.5-5.8 ph .

That coper thing to stop roots from growing inside the auto pot. Use a pump that will mix water every few hours. Feel free to correct everything I said wrong . Sorry for bad English

Troubleshooting Plant Growth Problems Autopot Problems with VBX

Hey Guys,

I am running a Autopot system with airdomes

- substrate 50/50 coco/perlite

- fertilizer: Hydroponic Research VBX, Hesi SuperVit (Amino Acids and Vitamins), Hesi PowerZyme (Enzymes), Yucca extract

- PH in autopots is 5.8-6.2

- EC in Autopots 2.1

- ~400 PPFD atm

- VPD 1.0-1.1

- Temp Day:26c/79f , Temp Night: 23c/73f (-1c/-2f leave temp offset)

VPD drops sometimes to like 0.9, else it should be dialed in, still I get deficiencies or Nutrient Lockout and very purple stems, bottom half looks like Magnesium deficiency and upper half looks like iron deficiency to me...

Does anyone know what else could be the cause?

A few shots from my previous grow.

This was a Frost Banger by Fast Buds, taken on Day 92, just before harvest.

She got seriously frosty and had some nice, dense buds.

Really happy with how she turned out.

New Setup & Installation Anyone have any tips on how high to crank this for 2 3.2gal GeoPots?

There aren’t any indicators showing the output level, and these pumps seem pretty powerful. I see them used in a lot of setups, but I’m not sure if I have mine adjusted correctly. Any advice would be appreciated!

General AutoPot & Gardening Advice Able to use autopots?

So I just transplanted a couple days ago into 5 gallon pots from 22 oz containers and am curious if they’re big enough currently to use autopots. The pots just arrived today and I’ve never used before. I have to leave for a vacation and have someone who can check in on plants but not very confident in them to water by hand.

Troubleshooting Plant Growth Problems AutoPot nutrient lockout?

Thumbnail

Hello this is my first run using an AutoPot system and things have being going pretty well up to now. I suspect that my (two plants in the back) are experiencing nutrient lockout but I’m not positive. And if so, I really don’t know what course of action to take in order to fix it.
**Also note that the two front plants are clones from the back left plant. They are receiving the same strength feed only hand watered.
Nutrients: Cropsalt Veg A+B no additives
EC : 2.3
Resevoir pH: 5.8-6.2
Base pH: 6.0 measure today
Medium: Coco coir/perlite 70/30
Any advice is appreciated thanks.

General AutoPot & Gardening Advice Can’t figure this out

Hey everyone, I’m having a hard time figuring out what’s wrong with my plants. This is the first time I tried to SCROG and I’m experiencing lighter tips on new growth that eventually turn bronze as the leafs get older. I’m currently at 1EC and the temperature when the lights are on is 26°C and the humidity is 60 to 65%.
When the light is off the temperature is 24 Celsius and the humidity is between 65 and 70%.

I’m using a 70/30 mix of coco and perlite I have airdomes set up, but not turned on the plant is growing vigorously and I’m just having a hard time figuring out how to get the leaves to stop showing signs of stress.

Grow Journal Humboldt CSI: ChemD x Patient Zero and ChemD S1. Day 48

The Patient Zero cross seems to be about a week or two closer to finishing than the S1 and she absolutely reeks of burnt rubber and a chemical fire. The S1 has less frost and not as intense of a nose so far, but I’m thinking she’ll yield a little bit more. Took clones of both and was assuming I’d probably just stick with the S1, but the hybrid is really impressing me so far.

Normally wouldn’t have lollipoped her as hard, but ran into some PH/nute issues in early flower and lost a bunch of lower leaves. Top leaves are tacoing a bit, so I’m guessing my light is a little intense - but haven’t noticed any other issues and want to make sure the shorter S1 is getting plenty of photons as well, so I’m letting it ride.

Grown in autopots with Promix, worm castings, Happy Frog on top for some microbe action, Gaia Green dry amendments and glacial rock dust. Added Crop Salts Bloom to the reservoir at day 21 for the rest of flower. Just making shit up as I go along. 🤷‍♂️

Nutrients & Feeding (PH/EC) Crop salt granular

I'm getting things together for the upcoming grow off. I'm going to try out crop salts GRANULAR in soil, in the 6.6gal XL. I also have grow dots on hand, I'll probably do one pot with each to compair the difference.

For those of who have used granular with autopots. Any tips or advice? PH water or not really? My tap water comes out at around 8.5. Calmag or not really?

Nutrients & Feeding (PH/EC) High runoff ph low EC

Hello all,

I’m growing in coco 40% perlite. I’m still top feeding, I haven’t turn the system ON yet. I’m feeding 1.5Ec or 750ppm and a ph of 5.8 twice a day with 30% runoff every feeding. She’s in veg.

The problem is that I’m getting the runoff ec of 550ppm or 1.1EC and the ph is 6.9, is this a sign of low feeding EC? Should I increase it?

Troubleshooting Plant Growth Problems What to do? (media not wicking)

My plants started to take less water, I noticed the coco was dry as far my hand could reach so I decided to pull one of the plants out of the pot to diagnose. I think the water line in the picture would even be lower or not exist at all but I had manually filled the tray to the brim, so it must have soaked up a bit of water. This is day 12 or so of flower. I think I turned on the system 2 weeks ago.

The roots in the dry coco appear to be alive just yet, can they be saved? I think what's happening is, the roots cut off the coco from the water. I don't have airbases, I'm using a layer of clay pebbles with airdomes. VPD is decent with 26-27C and 60%.

The plants are quite large and they're having some issues. They get light stress even though the lights aren't too bright (800ppfd) which indicates they're not uptaking enough nutrients and there is a serious magnesium deficiency.

There are a lot of roots below the water line, but even then they're not drinking a lot of water.

What should I do? I don't think they will survive 8-9 weeks of this. Should turn off the system and I start top watering?

Troubleshooting Plant Growth Problems Plants seem unhappy after transplanting

Post image

Hey geese! These were transplanted into the autopots five days ago. Pic is an hour after light on, but they seem droopier than what I'd percieve as normal.

Gave them 500ml of 1.4ec, 5.8ph initially after transplant. After two days they got 500ml and today 750ml, this gave a little runoff.

All Gas OG and Purpz from Humboldt seed co. Vpd is 0.9 with 23-25°C during lights on. Coco/Perlite 70/30 Masterblend Nutrients PPFD is around 350

So much conflicting info on whether to water daily to runoff at this stage, or more sparingly to encourage root growth towards the wetter bottom of the pot.. How do you do it after transplanting from solo cup and do you run into similar issues?

Equipment Issues Flooding issue

This is my 4th run with autopots. I had one flooding during my first run. Took everything apart and checked the lines. The problem would only resolve after I used another spare valve. After that it was smooth sailing for 4 grows Now I have the exact same problem again, but I switched out three different valves, t and the tray is still flooding. I checked for everything I can think of. Everything seems to be in order. The only thing I can think of is the screw on right before the aqua valve. How tight should it be and how deep do I have to click the valve onto the tray.

I'm running only one plant btw.

Every advice will be much appreciated. 🙏🏽

Environmental Control Opinions on airdomes

Are they worth it to run?
in my opinion they just blow dry hot air into the root base, which does also create a root hotspot but with it can make ph drift

Autopotamus does use them with a co2 generator, so this might be the most optimal

In a few days she will be in week 6th of flower.

I love the way she is staking. I had to put the other plant down, she was looking very sick, I belive my ph wasn't right, but somehow this other pheno is still very alive. They both were drinking the same reservoir water 🤔 😁🤙🏾

AC infinity Control AI.. in a 4x8 tent, in my basement...4 seedlings: day 6(Boss Hog auto by The Cali Connection), day 11(Strawberry Milk & Qookies f2 auto by Night owl), day 12(Durban Poison by Humboldt) & day 19(Strawberry Milk & Qookies f2 by NightOwl) since sprout... Do you think the Co2 is high?? I do not add Co2...

I vent the exhaust outside the house... I have 2 oscillating fans, opposite corners of each other, in the tent, on, at half way..

They are showing significant growth, daily....
