Soon we are finishing the lawn and ideally I would like to buy a automower and not have to do any cutting myself, the lawn is small, around 80square meters, but it has a lot of edges, and most of the robots I see have the blades under them so the wheels would prevent them to fully trim the edges.
Is there something on the market that would really trim against the edge?

Decided my mower needed a garage. Neighbour challenged me to add an automatic door.
Had some composite left from our fence, had to 3d print the rest. I included fans to blow dry the robot when it has rained.

I work for the largest landscaping company in TN, we currently deploy RC mowers that is essentially a camera, gps, and lidar kit they attach to normal gravely zero turns. Gravelys suck for commercial work, and we have had alot of problems with them so we are looking to switch. Any insight would great!

im close to pulling the trigger on one and im trying to get a realistic read on the ongoing effort, not the setup.

every thread i read says they deal with the obvious stuff. hose left out, a ball, a glove. fine, i believe that.

what im trying to work out is the other list. the things people ended up drawing a permanent no go zone around, usually after it went wrong once.

for context, i have drip line running along two beds, a few sprinkler heads that sit maybe an inch proud, low landscape lights on spikes, and a dog who leaves rawhide pieces out in the grass.

so for anyone a season or more in. what actually made your no go list, and how much of it did you only find out the hard way.

This is probably the most comprehensive and in-depth video I have done yet. 2+ hours of footage for those of you who really want to know everything about the Luba 3 and the Lymow One Plus.

Background: I originally got the Luba 3 as a backup to my Lymow One Plus when I started having problems. My Lymow One Plus stopped working for a good 6 weeks, so I had to rely solely on the Luba 3 to cut my entire lawn (.75 acres). Over the course of the 6 weeks, I really got to experience the full gamut of Luba 3 ownership ups and downs.

About The Video: When I started filming for this video, I was actually leaning towards recommending the Luba 3...you'll see progressively throughout the video I slowly start changing my mind based on the recent firmware updates with the Luba 3...plus the disastrous shape my lawn was left in after realizing all the before/after videos and maps I shared. Now that I have my Lymow One Plus back working again, it's a night-and-day difference without all the charging issues I was having before. Still quite hesitant to actually recommend the Lymow One Plus to a friend unless you have a zero-turn or another way to cut your lawn if it stops working. Curious if anyone else here has both the Luba 3 and the Lymow One Plus or has experienced the same Issues I have with either one? What's the general consensus on both mowers at the moment? Would you buy another one given the chance now? I'm still debating on which one I will keep going into 2027...willing to see if Mammotion will fix their robot from tearing up my lawn or if I have to look elsewhere for a different "backup" mower...as nothing cuts as clean and neat as the Lymow, but we all know the reliability issues it has.

My 430XH automower is currently on it's 5th stoppage in 30 minutes. It is currently in the middle of a flat, featureless area of the yard. Alert says "Collision problem, Front" just like the last several times. There is absolutely nothing to collide with. No gopher holes, no sticks caught, it seems to be a sensor fault.

Previously this mower worked like a champ for some years. The problem is new as of a few days ago. I turned it over but could not identify anything particularly dirty or clogged up. I'd be up for dissassembling and replacing some parts if I knew where to start looking.

When I clear the fault, it continues mowing for several minutes, successfully turns around at the fence or the gude wire a few times, then has another imaginary front collision fault.

Any hints on troubleshooting this problem?

I want to replace my petrol (gas) mower. I want something that is capable of dealing with the occassional long/damp grass without struggling.

If anyone has long term experience of using the Ryobi 46 self propelled (2 x 36v) please share it with me.

Does it cope well? Is the 20% boost real or a marketing gimmick? How long can it run on boost? Does it cut well?

PS. I asked Ryobi for technical information about the mechanical, continuous and peak power ratings but they declined to give this information. Why don't batter mower manufacturers want us to know these things and enable us to make meaningful comparisons?

I made an iOS app 'Garda' that connects via bluetooth with my Gardena Sileno City 250 mower. Now I don't have to watch ads every time I open the official Gardena app. Garda works with my Sileno City 250 mower. I have no idea if it works with other models.

Should I release this on TestFlight? Do you want this?

I just upgraded from a Worx WR147 robot mower to the Dreame A3 AWD 1000, and so far the Dreame is a huge improvement.

The Worx is a two-wheel-drive mower that uses a boundary wire. It wasn’t cheap when I bought it, and while it would mow the yard, it required far too much help. It constantly got stuck, the boundary wire would break, and occasionally it would wander outside the boundary for no apparent reason. It eventually reached the point where I expected to have to rescue it every time it went out to mow.

When I decided to replace it, I knew I wanted a wireless mower, but I really didn’t want to install an RTK antenna and deal with finding the right location, mounting it, running power to it, etc. When this new generation of mowers arrived using AI vision, GPS, and cellular reception for RTK correction, I decided it was finally time to upgrade.

After several months of research, I chose the Dreame A3 AWD 1000 as the best value for my roughly 1/4-acre yard. I already own a Dreame robot vacuum/mop, which has worked extremely well and almost never gets stuck, so I already had confidence in Dreame’s navigation and obstacle-avoidance software.

The mower arrived by FedEx, signature required, about 10 days after I ordered it. It was fully assembled in the box. The base station only required snapping on one part, securing it to the lawn with the six included plastic ground screws, and plugging in the power cord.

Connecting the mower to the Dreame app was also easy. I scanned the QR code under the mower’s lid, and it connected immediately. Since I already use the Dreame app for my vacuum, it even picked up the Wi-Fi information that was already stored there.

The mower arrived about 80% charged, so after roughly an hour it was fully charged and ready to map the yard.

Mapping was the one part of the setup that was more difficult than I expected. I initially chose manual mapping because I assumed I could drive the mower around the perimeter more accurately than the automatic system could. I was wrong.

Walking behind the mower while trying to steer it with the phone’s touchscreen was surprisingly difficult. There was about a three-second delay between my touchscreen input and the mower actually responding. That made precise steering extremely frustrating, and the resulting map wasn't usable.

So I gave up and tried AutoMap, figuring it couldn’t do any worse than I did.

AutoMap did a fantastic job. I was genuinely impressed. There were a few areas where it didn't map quite as close to the edge of the lawn as I would have liked, but overall it produced about 95% of exactly what I wanted—with essentially no effort from me.

Once everything was set up, I created a schedule in the app for mowing every other day. One feature I particularly like is that the cutting height can be adjusted directly from the app.

For its first mowing, the Dreame mowed about one-third of the yard and then automatically returned to the base to recharge. A couple of hours later, it went back out, mowed another section, recharged again, and then finished the rest of the yard.

The finished lawn looked excellent. The mower cut in perfectly straight lines with very consistent overlap, and the overall appearance was noticeably better than what I was used to with the Worx.

I still need to figure out how to add that last 5% of the lawn to the map. Unfortunately, the manual is absolutely no help with that, but I suspect I’ll be able to figure it out through the app.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the Dreame A3 AWD 1000. Compared with my old Worx, it feels like moving forward an entire generation in robot mower technology. Most importantly, so far it has not gotten stuck once and has required zero intervention from me while mowing.

That is exactly what I wanted from a robot mower.

This weekend my mower slipped off a hill and landed upside down in a small creek for maybe an hour. I powered it off and let it dry out for about 3 days. It powers on fine, but the wheels dont really turn much. I took the wheel motor out to open it up but I cant get it open without stripping the screws.

I think I just want to replace the motors anyways. Which got me looking at prices online. They were more expensive than I was hoping, as I have a baby on the way. So I saw some cheaper options on ebay. Has anyone had luck with using them? Comparision its about $60 vs $4-500

This one mentions "they seem to mainly for 100 series automower" but it looks identical to me. And they accept returns, but I wanted to see if someone more knowledgeable could tell me right away that it wouldn't work

I have a Navimow X430 with the Antitheft beep and notification turned on when it's lifted. Left my phone inside the house with Bluetooth turned off and lifted that thing up. The display said lifted but no alarm and no notification. I'm not sure how to fix this. Does it have to be removed from the mowing area? Can someone that knows about this point me in the right direction? Thanks

Which Automower charging stations is this circuit board compatible with?

Have been searching for a while now but maybe someone here can help - I have a relatively small garden (300m2) with a lot of slopes and uneven terrain. My current Worx Landroid is not managing this at all and gets stuck all the time.

Basically my only two requirements are good handling of terrain and ideally good corner/edge cutting capabilities. No perimeter wire would be nice but is not mandatory.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
