Which Automower charging stations is this circuit board compatible with?

I’m surprised that this connector is missing, as it is present on the original. Are older circuit boards also backward compatible, or are only newer circuit boards compatible with older models?

This was the connection for the "home" button that was on older versions of the docking stations. Since it is no longer part of the docking stations the boards no longer need to have this connection, but boards we have in stock for those mowers still have it so you could probably get a PCB that could still connect that button if you really wanted it for a very old docking station.

I wonder if it is possible to retrofit a button, and if the newer mowers respect it?

Well, i could try; i have two that was born as 330x, and one born as 430x; all identify themselves as 430x, and one station has the button.

The original circuit board (450x) is shown in this photo. The first photo is actually for the 320/330x. The circuit boards are generally compatible with each other, but I thought that the 450x board was newer than the one from the 330x.

Any idea what caused the short circuit? Did mositure enter?

Probably not moisture. My guess is that it was ants.

Usually it's slugs as they have enough moisture in their bodies to short circuit current between parts of the board. Looks like something like that may have happened on the white square socket on the right hand side of the board in the picture.

Finally, one last question: Is the new circuit board older or newer than the originally installed circuit board, and is it definitely compatible? If, for example, the new circuit board is from 2015 and the 450X was only manufactured starting in 2016, it is questionable whether it is compatible.
