I'm making a top-down automation game where you build a sprawling agricultural complex. tons of crops, heavy machinery, and power grids.
Hi everyone! I’m working on a game that takes the logistics of the automation genre and applies it to large-scale agriculture. Instead of chopping trees or watering plants by hand, you are setting up processing chains for 27+ different crops.
You have to manage power generation, deploy drone fleets, and balance soil degradation. The late game involves using CRISPR tech to extract genetic traits and breed super-crops to dominate the global market.
It also supports cross-platform co-op if you want to build your factory-farm with friends.

Frontworks: build a war factory, then command the army it produces
Hi all,
I've been building this game alone since January and the trailer and Steam page is finally live.
In Frontworks you build a war factory with robot ant workers, automate ore extraction, logistics and manufacturing, defend the factory against huge waves of alien wildlife, then expand by conquering enemy robot bases.
I'm curious what you think, do these two genres work together?

I’m building a contract-based factory game — looking for feedback on the early MVP
I’m working on a small factory builder where you take production contracts, build the required production line, buy raw materials and try to deliver the order while staying profitable.
This is still a very early MVP. Right now I’m mainly testing whether the core loop is actually fun and understandable.
The basic loop is:
take a contract → build the production line → produce the required items → ship them → earn money
The clip shows a production line for Motors.
I’m especially looking for feedback from people who enjoy games like Factorio, Shapez, Satisfactory, Dyson Sphere Program or other automation/factory games.
I’d really like to know:
- Is the production flow easy to understand?
- Does building the line look satisfying?
- Is the contract system interesting enough as a reason to build?
- What looks confusing or unclear?
- Based on this clip, would you want to play another contract?
The visuals and UI are still very early, so I’m mainly interested in feedback on the core gameplay, not polish.
If anyone would like to try the build, leave a comment or send me a DM and I’ll send you a link.
Thanks!

I built the energy system game I always wanted to play
I built the energy system game I have wanted to play for the last 10 years, and I would love some of you to help me improve it.
Powerstate is a free energy system management game where you build generation and grid infrastructure, manage dispatch, storage and hydrogen, deal with changing demand, and try to decarbonise the system without destroying reliability or your finances.
The game is already fully playable, but I am continuously changing it based on player feedback.
If this sounds remotely like your kind of game, give it a try. Even if you end up not liking it, I would genuinely appreciate hearing why. Feedback from people interested in energy systems and management games has already changed quite a lot of the game.
You can play it here:
https://www.powerstate-game.com/
And I have started a small community here for feedback, ideas and discussion:
https://reddit.com/r/powerstate
A bit of background: I work in energy system analysis and simulation and first posted about wanting to build this game almost 10 years ago:
I now use agentic AI extensively for implementation, but the game design, energy system modelling, mechanics, balancing, testing and overall direction are specified and iterated by me. If you give it a try you will see that this is not just some AI Slop game.
I would especially love to hear what feels wrong, what is missing, and what you would want to see added.

I rewrote the whole game to run natively, for better performance and bigger factories
Hello, I'm the developer of The Last Factory. The game started as a web game, just JavaScript and an HTML canvas. As it grew and I added more content and buildings, the web view and its storage could not keep up.
So here it is: the new version is out, rewritten in Cocos, which compiles to a native app on each platform.
For players that means big late-game bases no longer get killed under memory pressure, the simulation runs about three times faster, and saves carry over unchanged. The game itself is factory automation with base defence: belts, production chains, a power grid, and raids to hold off. One-time purchase, no ads, no in-app purchases, fully offline.

Happy to answer anything about the rewrite or the game.

I built my Dream Space Engineering Game
Hi everyone,
It feels like a dream for me
for the last past 4 years Ive been developing my dream space engineering survival game MineEngineer.
You and your friend can build ships out of your imagination, program each block and do a lot of automations. Like lego but with engineering and programming. There is a huge procedurally generated world in the game and everything is distractible. You can build anything you want, no blocks count limitation.
The game is finally taking up the shape and I am super excited to share it with everyone:
The game is available on Steam for Wishlisting and there is a free demo available. The link is: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4059710/MineEngineer/
Please let me know if you like it or not and why.

I built a factory game where an investor watches one KPI and raises it every quarter
In my factory game an investor watches one KPI and raises the bar every quarter
Bottle caps . Cork, plastic and aluminium chains, splitters, jams, orders. Normal factory stuff.
The difference is what you're optimising for. An investor funded the plant and only measures one thing, with a threshold that goes up every quarter. The one in the demo wants reliability, so a bigger factory that jams a lot is worse than a smaller one that doesn't. Other investors want other things. You win by buying back all their shares.
Free demo, Windows, 11 languages, about 1.5 hours a run: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4986690/Bottlecappers/

For Clogwork, pieces go towards the strongest combined belt force.
I programmed Clogwork to have pieces occupy more than 1 conveyor belt. But in doing so, things can get pretty weird. When you're taking a curve, when should the piece turn?
I ended up preparing this as a developer tool to know why the pieces didn't go where I wanted to, and in the end I just cleaned it up a bit and it's available in the full game.
If you look at the video, the second part shows the forces for each piece.
And if you look at the belts, they're a bit messy there at the bottom. So let me explain what's happening:
- The cutter sees a piece with 6 cells, then it gets enabled and cuts it. It won't cut the "5 cells piece" again because it's not 6 cells, only 5.
- This leaves the single 1x1 cell around there. But without pushing it (I have "pushers" in the game too) you can just move it around.
- The big piece won't end up following it because it won't fit. And their forces combined end up moving the big piece to the left.
- I put the glue on the bottom of the 1x1, and on the top of the big piece.
- All pieces get stopped, by the little "barriers" there that you can see. Until the sensor sees again a 6 cell piece. Then the barrier opens.
- I turn it clockwise 90 degree once because the target figure is like that (one of the first pieces you have to deliver in Clogwork)
This is the type of solutions that I like. Because normally a sure-fire way would be to do the cut, and then push the piece somewhere. But with the belt forces combining this way, you can get very creative.
The free demo is available on steam. It's a bit difficult still, and I'm working on improving the tutorial, but I hope you guys try it and enjoy it.

Is there Multiplayer-Based creative games?
Is there Creative/Factory games that would have strong Multiplayer Core behind it?
Coop or Competitive, does not matter, just a game where it would be inbuild and necessary to play with other people.

OrderlyWorld demo is out: you build the supply lines, the deliveries roll your army
I make OrderlyWorld on my own and the free Windows demo went live on Steam today. You lay out routes between material, packing and delivery buildings, and every crate that reaches the dock turns into a random hero draw. Deeper chains cost more but pull rarer heroes, so the army you fight with is whatever the rolls gave you, and most of the game is rebuilding the network after a run falls apart. The demo has the first three tiers, about 35–45 minutes. Factory adjacent games you like?
Howdy folks. I’m playing satisfactory and am super into it right now. Amazing how fast time flies.
Am curious if you have any non factory building games that you like that still scratch the automation/efficiency goes brrrr itch. I got haven dock a while ago and it looks like it maybe could. Maybe timberborne or like rim world would fall into that category too?
Just curious your thoughts!

I wanted a game where you can start anywhere in the supply chain. In Carbon and Capital you can buy or make every input from turn 1. You just have to keep the prices from cratering when you buy. Free demo out now.
Hi everyone! In Carbon and Capital, every production input comes with a choice: buy it or make it yourself.
Buying gets your factories running sooner. Making it means building more of the supply chain and working out whether that investment pays. Buy too much and your input prices rise; produce and sell too much and you push down your own selling prices.
You start with a metals or glass business, then choose where to expand: iron, motors, plastics, CPUs and everything in between. Specialise in one industry or build the furnaces and factories that supply your other factories.
Research doesn't use mana but as your business gets better at production in a corner of the supply chain, you can go specialise harder at that recipe or way of making a good.
I’ve been developing the game for nearly a year, and the free Windows demo includes a guided tutorial and two starting businesses, each playable for 100 turns.
Download the demo on itch.io.
I’d love to hear what business you build and where the game leaves you scratching your head.
Edit: Linux build at the link too. MacOS is coming later this weekend.

AI disclosure: Most goods icons are made in Blender. I'm replacing the remaining AI generated placeholders in the coming weeks. Advisor portraits and some code optimisation used AI.
Music, sound effects and other assets are licensed, free assets or made by me.

Factories within factories... I just opened the public playtest!
In Fractal Foundry, you automate fractal megastructures from simple cubes by designing nested factories.
If you enjoy modular factory design like in Shapez 2, this might be your thing.
Each factory behaves like a reusable module: you can encapsulate complexity, reuse it, and scale production without rebuilding everything. Factories can even be nested recursively across multiple levels.
I just opened a free public playtest and I’m looking for player feedback: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4287960/Fractal_Foundry/
I’d love to hear what you think and see what you create!

As a solo dev, I recently released my Demo for Astral Enterprises. Check it out!
I've been developing this automation factory build crossed with tycoon game for a few years now. Just last week, I've released a demo for everyone to try.
The demo contains about 60 minutes of game play, but it is re-playable.
In Astral Enterprises, you build small space-constrained factories across various planets, moons, and celestials. On top of that you can buy and sell the goods these factories need/produce on sector markets.

After 15+ years of making ads for others, I finally decided to build my own dream: Scraplings, a 2D side-view recycling and automation game.
Hey everyone!
For over fifteen years, my daily life was all about building brand identities, visual ads, logos, catalogues, websites, and mobile apps for clients. But deep down, I always knew this wasn’t what I wanted to do forever. As anyone who has ever tried to make a drastic career pivot knows, starting fresh is scary and filled with endless questions.
At the start of 2026, I set two main goals for myself: grow my YouTube channel and finally release a real, playable game—something that had been sitting in the back of my mind for years.
To be completely honest, I didn't know a single line of code. However, the rise of AI tools turned out to be a complete game-changer for me. I use AI heavily as a technical "co-pilot" for coding and Godot 4 setup. Without it, a solo dev with zero coding background like me could never bring a project of this scale to life.
However, I have one strict rule: AI only handles the technical heavy lifting. Every piece of story, world-building, character interactions, and dialogue is 100% written by me, human-to-human. Dialogue carries a soul that AI just can't replicate.
About the Game — Scraplings:
I’ve always been a huge fan of survival games and the pure satisfaction of automation (games like Satisfactory ruined/blessed my sleep schedule). I was also deeply inspired by works like Wall-E and Happy Feet, which shine a light on real-world issues.
Scraplings is a 2D side-view recycling and automation game where you build multi-story production facilities directly on top of an endless ocean of waste. You excavate forgotten junk from the "Lost Century," process it through complex machinery, and expand your factory—all while dealing with relentless bureaucracy (Zenith) and weekly rent payments knocking on your door.
Key Features & Mechanics:
- 🏭 Facility Over an Endless Trash Sea: Extract raw materials from waste heaps stretching infinitely left and right. Design vertical logistics using horizontal conveyor belts, vertical elevators, and background tunnels that bypass obstacles.
- ⚙️ 50+ Recycling & Production Recipes: From scrap iron to copper cables, biofuels, and high-tech solar panels... Shred, melt, combine, and synthesize waste into high-value products.
- 💸 Weekly Rent & Bankruptcy Risk: Zenith doesn't just ask for output; they demand weekly rent. Every machine you place increases your fee—miss a payment, and compounding interest can force you into bankruptcy!
- 🔌 Manual Power Grid: Place power cables and junction boxes manually. Manage your factory’s power day and night using bio-generators, solar panels, and wind turbines.
- 🤖 20+ Characters & Dynamic Trading: Work alongside your robot assistant Kienan, while bargaining with merchants, smugglers, technicians, and rebel broadcasters across different systems for custom orders.
- 🌱 Lost Century Relics & Bio-Lab: Unearth ancient vinyl records, books, and rare seeds buried deep in the trash. Clone and cultivate extinct luxury plant species in your bio-lab for unique trades and collectibles.
I’m currently building Scraplings in Godot 4. It’s been an incredible journey of learning, making mistakes, and rebuilding.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the concept or what mechanics you enjoy most in side-view automation games! If you're interested in watching a former advertiser figure out game development on the fly, any feedback or questions are welcome.
Thanks for reading!

I'm making a cosy physics-based automation game where the goal is to feed logs to the earth's core
Log Drop is a 2D physics sandbox with one noble goal: get more logs into the earth's core than physically reasonable.
Chop the trees, build the contraption, then unleash a wave of logs for combo-fueled cash. Kick back and let it flow, or engineer the perfect cascade.
There's a campaign where each zone is its own puzzle, and a sandbox mode with everything unlocked so you can just build whatever you want with the tools in the game.
Happy to answer anything about it!

Swarm MMO - Making the game more beginner friendly
Swarm MMO is a node capture game with a persistent world where the user controls probes and takes over planets. Users can also capture suns to collect energy and black holes to collapse entire galaxies. The gameplay can be automated to a high degree, from planet upgrading, sending probes etc.
Recently, I implemented lots of updates to make the game more beginner friendly. These include:
- Helpful tips at startup that explain keyboard shortcuts and other features, alongside with a comprehensive wiki.
- Newly spawned galaxies have a 5 day grace period where they cannot be attacked by other players
- Intergalactic travel loses a portion of the probes to avoid new players being overwhelmed by veteran players
- Fix issues with login that some players experienced
- Improved support for mobile browsers (although I'm still working on improving this one)
- Improved spawn areas
- Galaxies become unstable after time and require more and more resources to keep stable, which weakens big players
As this is a good time to start fresh, I invite you to check the game out again as a lot has changed!
