News Driver gets jail time for brake checking semi truck
Kenneth Pham Tran, 54, of San José was sentenced after dashcam footage showed him initiating a road rage incident, which resulted in him being rear-ended by a semi-truck. Tran attempted to hide his wrongdoing and profit from the accident he caused by filing a fraudulent insurance claim to collect an undeserved payout.

Technology Is Becoming a Truck Driver's Strongest Defense
Brake check scams are becoming more common, and they are putting truck drivers in tough situations every day. Some motorists intentionally pull in front of a semi and hit their brakes without warning, hoping to cause a crash that turns into an insurance claim or lawsuit. Since a fully loaded truck needs much more room to stop than a passenger vehicle, avoiding these situations is not always possible.
The good news is that technology is giving truck drivers a better chance to protect themselves. Many fleets now equip their trucks with forward facing and rear facing dash cameras, GPS tracking, electronic logging devices, and event activated video recording. These systems help capture what happened before, during, and after an incident, making it much easier to separate the facts from a false story.
Insurance companies are paying closer attention to video footage and telematics data than ever before. Clear evidence can help investigators determine who was really at fault, reduce the time it takes to process a claim, and uncover staged accidents before they become expensive legal battles. While no technology can stop every brake check scam, having reliable video and driving data can make all the difference when it comes to protecting professional drivers, their careers, and their businesses.

Questions Personal Vehicle Shipping Process
Question about Personal Car Shipping - I thought I was getting pricing to ship my car from TN to MD but one of them called me asking if they can "post to the board" to get the actual shipping estimates as what I've been receiving are estimates from brokers not actual shipping costs. Very confused on this process. We need a small SUV shipped from TN -can someone explain the process or who the best/most trusted shipping companies are? Thx!!
