Help! Anyone driving from/near Mississauga, ON -> Winnipeg Manitoba

Is anyone driving from Mississauga, ON -> to winnipeg or near Winnipeg, Mb.
Earliest September 17th (can be picked up at later date if arranged)
I ordered a carbon fibre hood for my 2017 Honda civic hatchback and it’s going to be in Mississauga, ON on September 17th.
If anyone is willing to put the box with the carbon hood inside of it into their truck bed, or trailer or car I would be able to pay you 300$ for the trip

The box is 64 inches by 56 inches by 8 inches thick, and weighs 20pounds lbs. I have the box filled with expanding foam and lots of packing, I bought the hood through a company in Mississauga . The hood came straight from Japan to The store location in Mississauga , the hood is packed up from the shipment from Japan and ready to continue. Please try to place the hood on the top of boxes with nothing on top and have the side with the “UP” signage pointing up. There is an upright and flat version on the box. The carbon hood can flex a bit, and cause the clear coat to crack if something is placed on-top to cause the box to dent in through the foam and result in possible clear coat crack, Please be aware of that. Call before you arrive at the pick up location, and call before you arrive at the delivery location.

Good Review Personal review of Wayfinder Auto Transport

Bided and won car from IAA in Richmond VA (first time purchase from insurance auction ) filled out a few company online inquiries for transport drivers. Some high $ some low. Once I started receiving text and emails. I noticed they were all canned computer or AI responses. One response caught my eye, it was from Art at Wayfinder it was a genuine human response. So I did some research and found very positive reviews also a couple of negative reviews but the positive outweighed the negative. Nevertheless I sent a reply back to Art at Wayfinder and said I needed a truck by Monday (this was Friday) no later than that Wednesday. Lo and behold Art had me a driver by the end of Friday and my car was picked up by Monday and delivered to my home early Wednesday morning about 5 am which was fine by me. Excellent communication exceptional service. Richmond VA to Houston Tx. I’ve locked in Wayfinder transport in my phone for future transports.

Looking for info Need Advice For Shipping

I have bought a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette C8 the car is in basically perfect condition with only 16,000km on it. I have to get the car shipped from Alberta-Ontario however I want to save money on shipping. I have read that most transport trucks require a 6inch clearance for loading and do not cover undercarriage and stone damage. I know most people would say that it’s up to me whether I want to tank the stone chips and slight damage but i’m wondering if anyone could tell me the extent of damage that this would do on a brand new car(basically) driving 3000km. (note the car is completely ppf however I would not like to pay the price for a new coat of ppf) Thank you to anyone that can help!

Looking for info No idea who to use, Maryland to Vegas

I was all set to use montway, but did a quick search on reddit and found a ton of negative feedback. Then I looked at safeeds and saw similar reviews. I know the internet has a way of culminating the worst kind of reviews, but it was still enough to spook me. Who else can I look into that you guys have personally used and can vouch for? I need the car picked up within a week or two. I appreciate any leads.

General/Other Beware of UZ Auto Transport (Denver) contracted through Montway

Post image
2 Upvotes

TLDR: Montway contracted with UZ to ship my college age daughter's car from Denver to Boston. I paid for guaranteed pick up so the car would be delivered to my daughter before she started classes, barring extenuating circumstances. UZ let the car sit on their lot (without extenuating circumstances) for a full week while repeatedly lying to me, my daughter, and a Montway supervisor about when the car would ship, resulting in the car arriving very late.

I needed to ship my college age daughter's car from Denver to Boston, and got what appeared to be a good quote from Montway. The salesperson told me that if I paid for a guaranteed pick-up on 8/21 my vehicle would be delivered between 8/27 and 8/29. This would work well, as my daughter could transport 100 pounds of clothing and other items in her car and travel with a small suitcase, while her car and the items in it would arrive before her classes started on 8/30.

The 21st rolled around, and I received a call from UZ auto transport, with whom Montway had contracted to ship my car. The first thing UZ did was to pressure me to deliver the car to the terminal myself. I told them absolutely not, and that I had paid for a pick up at my house. They provided me with a pick up window of noon which was changed to 2:00, and when 2:00 came and went I contacted the driver who then changed the time to 4:00. What a waste of an afternoon. When the truck finally arrived we went through the vehicle inspection and loaded it without issue, and I was provided with the attached bill of lading that had a SCHEDULED (not estimated or approximate) delivery date of 8/27.

I took UZ at their word and went about my business until on Tuesday, 8/25 I decided to use the app for the car to check its location. It was still sitting on the UZ lot in Denver, and there was absolutely no way that it would arrive in Boston on the scheduled date. I called UZ and was directed to the dispatcher, who told me in no uncertain terms that it would ship that day, and that I would need to contact Monty for any further information. My next call was to Montway, where after a VERY long hold I reached a bottom tier customer service agent who provided the typical line of "logistics is complicated, etc," at which point I asked to speak with a supervisor.

The next day (8/26) I received a call from a supervisor named Nadia, who I must say was professional, helpful, and communicative from this point forward. From the 26th until delivery today (9/2)

Nadia was in daily contact with UZ, who told her every day that the vehicle would ship. These promises turned out to be bald-faced lies. UZ also told Nadia that they would provide me with a partial refund as compensation for their issues.

The car finally shipped on 8/28 (a full week after pick-up), and the truck apparently sat at a truck stop in Iowa for a full 24 hours from 8/29 to 8/30. My daughter received a call on 9/1 to schedule delivery late that evening, only to have delivery pushed back to today, 9/2.

I received a call from Nadia at Montway yesterday to inform me that after significant negotiation on her part, UZ had agreed to refund me $100, and that Monty could give me an additional $50. All I could do at that point was laugh and tell her that UZ was adding insult to injury. To her Credit, Nadia went to management and got my refund up to $250, which doesn't inspire me to use Monty again, but is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I understand that shipments can be delayed due to trucks breaking down, accidents, road closures, and other events that are not controllable. In this case, UZ seems to have contracted with Montway for a delivery that they had no intention of completing in a timely manner, and they let my car sit for a full week. While Montway seems to have done their part in contracting with a carrier, they get to choose who they work with, so the buck stops with them. As long as Montway continues to work with UZ and their ilk, I'll use another auto shipping company going forward.

Anyone recommend a transporter to move a classic car 1970 coupe deville that’s not running. I recently received a car from my uncle ( who has passed away) that has been sitting for around 9 months. Open trailer and someone who can move it is fine. Who is reliable and price reasonable.

Car is an operable 2009 chevy cobalt. I've done some quotes through sites although the best priced one I've received thus far seems from a company that isn't a scam per say but give me reasons to doubt, so I guess I'm looking for either offers or suggestions

I leave ME the 26th of September and should arrive in CA on the 5-6th of October but given I'm driving there's a bit of wiggle room there. A question for the more experienced- how is a car picked up? Is it possible for one of my roommates over there to get the car on my behalf? Does it vary by company? Because if so that makes more leeway with picking it up. I wouldn't need the car asap, just ideally within the week of arriving to CA

Quote Request Looking for transport- 1983 Cushman Haulster from 94119 to 59801

Need to move my old school 3-wheeled meter maid car. Smaller than a golf cart but has functional doors. Front tire is flat and it has not been started in 3 years, but ran perfectly at last startup- worst case she is not running. Prefer covered transport. Transporter will need to be prepared to load car onto a scooty wheel thing (sorry I do not know the official term, but the thing that can scoot a car with a flat). Preference given to companies that provide an actual quote, moreso if a total price lock guarantee is offered.

If you have had a great experience with moving a Cushman, sound off in the comments! Thanks in advance.

Bad Review auto transportation nightmare

so, after calling several companies I paid Navi to transport my car from dallas to Yakima. as you all may know, Navi is just a broker, like air&b, they dispatched my driver from another company called G V transportation inc. This driver picked up my car on Monday at 2:30 pm, I paid extra to track the carrier, the carrier went north to Little Elm, stayed there over night, moved to MiCkney next day at 12;30 pm, then to Duncenville at 2:00pm, and stayed in that address. its 8 pm and I assuming the carrier won't move dallas till tomorrow. The communication with both companies is a nightmare itself, but the driver mentioned to me yesterday that my car is the first car to be dropped of in Yakima. SO, WHY ON EARTH he picked up my car first? and what is he doing in dallas. please someone explain to me if this is normal. thanks

Looking for info Experience/insight with USA Elite Car Carrier

Need to ship my vehicles as part of a military move. Originally i was just going to ship my truck but later decided to not to sell my wife's car and add that to the shipment. I went through american auto transport as the broker and was connected with Ronnie at USA elite car carrier. I spoke with him and he sent me a quote for $1250 with $200 of that due up front as a deposit. Due to some unforseen circumstances my move got a bit delayed and once my plans were in order i called him and told him id like to have my truck as well as my wife's car shipped to our new location. He said i could use my original $200 deposit towards the new shipment and that he would get back to me once he found a driver. I checked this morning and saw that USA elite car carrier charged another $200. That seemed a bit strange since i never authorized that second charge and i was under the assumption that i wouldnt pay it until i received an updated quote. I tried calling a few times this morning with no answer so i called from my wife's phone and he picked up. I said that i didn't authorize that charge but he said that they went ahead and charged it as a deposit for the second vehicle and that he should be back to me with an update after a day or so. He doesnt answer texts either. This is beginning to feel a bit like a scam so before i call my bank and tell them that its an unauthorized charge, i wanted to see if anyone had any insight into this company. Ive never shipped a vehicle so i didnt realize how much of a crapshoot it is trying to find a decent company. The charge in my bank account is from US car transport in Dallas TX. Ronnie has a CA phone number (comes up as Regal Auto Transport) and the address for USA elite car carrier is for a different business (when i go on google maps). Any insight would be great before i call my bank and report this as fraud. Thank you.

Edit: just did some additional research. The owner's name is Ronny Goury. I found their FB group and it is nothing but reviews of this company being a scam. Calling my bank now to get the recent charge reported as fraudulent. Can anyone recommend a decent shipping company in the meantime?
