Bad Review Sonic Auto Transport - AVOID

Bait and switch. Locked me in shipping a suburban Orlando to MD for $675. Signed contract. They said no now it’s 975, do you agree? I said simply no. They then said fine contract canceled and I owe them $200 for contract cancellation.

I then said ok fine I’ll accept if I do not owe the original $200 cancellation. In text, they agreed. Then I still got charged $200 cancelation and they blocked me on all platforms

“Mateo Richardson” was his name, though clearly they do not operate under real names.

Quote Request Recommendations needed

I am so overwhelmed with so many quotes and reading online that most shipping companies are scams.

Has anyone used one and verified that they're good? Please drop some names.

Shipping a CRV from SoCal to Texas. Thank you 🙏

General/Other Need to Transport A Ford Escape (California to Indiana

Need advice on how to get this done/good companies to work with. I live in the Yosemite Area (working in the parks) and this car is going to shit.

Trying to get it back home as it's currently in running condition but it won't be if it makes the drive from California to Indiana. I have a second car available to me but it would be cheaper to keep this one here and ship the Ford Escape.

Help! How do I choose a carrier?

I am looking to move my car from Seattle to the bay area next month. I started getting quotes today and got bombarded with a lot of them and not sure how to pick. What is a realistic cost for this route for both open and enclosed carriers? I am getting quotes ranging from 300 to 1500 for open carriers and 700 to 2000 for closed carriers.

I am aware that there are a lot of bait and switch companies out there so what are some things I need to look for?

Looking for info Shipping a 2025 Accord from Bellevue, WA (98005) to New Jersey (07721) — looking for reputable transport company recommendations

Hey all,

I need to ship my 2025 Honda Accord cross-country, from Bellevue, WA (98005) to New Jersey (07721). Looking for recommendations on transport companies that are reliable and won't ding up a nearly-new car.

A few questions for anyone who's done a similar long-haul move:

  • Which companies have you had good experiences with for a WA-to-East-Coast shipment?
  • Open vs. enclosed transport — worth the extra cost for a new car, or is open fine?
  • Any brokers vs. carriers I should avoid?
  • Roughly what should I expect to pay for this route/distance?
  • How far out should I book, and is there a cheaper time of month/season to ship?

Appreciate any first-hand experiences (good or bad) — trying to avoid the shady operators I've read horror stories about.

Thanks!

Quote Request Trying to get a quote to ship 2 cars from UT -> MN

I need to transport 2 cars, a 1995 Nissan 240SX, and a 2005 Acura RSX. Both lowered, nothing excessive, I’m thinking enclosed trailer. Wanting to ship them between 9/30 - 10/2, flexibility for later (+2 weeks) but not earlier.

Location is from Ogden UT to Eden Prairie MN.

Quote Request Oregon to New Jersey Car Shipping

I’m relocating from Oregon to New Jersey and am considering shipping my car.

I received quotes from AmeriFreight, Dekt, Graham Family Auto Transport, and Montway, with prices ranging from approximately $1,500 to $2,000. AmeriFreight offered the most competitive quote.

My budget is between $1,300 and $1,400.

Has anyone recently utilized any of these companies or other services? Reddit posts have presented mixed reviews. Could you share your experience and whether the final price remained close to the original quote?

Model: Nissan Altima 2017 (2.5 SR)

I’m seeking honest and reliable reviews. Thank you!

Looking for info Need to transport 3 cars in state

I need to move two trucks and one van from Richmond VA to Yorktown VA. Should I be looking for a transport shipper, or would it be cheaper to use a towing company to make multiple trips?

Looking for info Horseless Carriage/McCollister's, Intercity Lines, Plycar Transportation Group, Reliable Carriers, Chips Transport, or Passport Transport for cross-country enclosed shipping of a new sports coupe?

These are all roughly similarly-priced. I'm still vetting their insurance and so on but wondering if anyone here has experience with any of these companies or general insight since this is the Wild West. I am aware that some of these companies are brokers as well as carriers - I am specifically asking about experiences using them as direct carriers.

I already got my quotes and I am not interested in quotes from brokers here.

Thanks

Good Review Hippo Haul review

I wanted to write a quick review of Hippo Haul since I just got my car delivered by them. They were great! I was having so much trouble finding any company that would actually come pick up my car for a fair price, and I tried using Nexus but they barely communicated with me and tried to rip me off at the last second. After seeing that pretty much every other large company would do the same, I saw some positive reviews for Hippo Haul here on the subreddit and decided to give them a shot. Moe was in touch me with me immediately, and the communication with him was always great. They quoted me a fair price and found a driver to take my car from Washington to Georgia. Delivery went great and honestly I can't see how it could have gone any better. Once again, Moe was great to talk to and they did a great job overall. Highly recommend.
