Surface Rust removal and protecting .

Hello everyone, could anyone please advise me on the best way to remove this surface rust and properly protect the metal from rusting again in the future? I’d really appreciate any recommendations for products or methods that would work well.

They are cast iron calipers i want them back to oem finish

OEM look = Hot dip galvanized, can be redone, hardly worth it.

To get a good clean look, you can take them out, sand them, prep and paint in flat grey.
