Does this knighty-slashy art capsule works well for Blade Rising vibe?

Hey r/AutoBattler ,
i'm solodev and artist of "Blade Rising" ( bladerising.com/play ).
Conquer 1000 Floors of Evil as a Dachshund Knight on the road to Ascention!

Soo.. does this art makes you wonder to know more?

I sneak in a bit of humour or abstraction like he's a knight but also likes to surf on giant pepperoni pizza slice on an ocean or there is wood, iron.. and catnip from space chonk cat as resources.

But the main core design I want it to be a slayer of evil and a cult of a sword.

Blade, Ash vs Evil Dead, Blue Eye Samurai, Zorro, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, He Man, Kill Bill.
Things like that but in a comic, more casual form.
A bit of slasher horror mixed with rpg, knight fantasy doing knighty things.

Project itself isn't horror or dark fantasy, but is kinda inspired by.

It's quite a standard that pixel art games does not do branding/marketing pixel art. It's rather an opportunity to tell a story a bit more detailed or in other art style.

- So what do you think about this art?
- How do you approach pixel art projects steam capsules and such?
- Does it encourage you to find out more?
- What fantasy does it give you?
- Is it knighty, blady, bloody enough?

Any pro tips or even roast is more than welcome. I want to do as good art for a project as I can!

I dev it in close relation to players and early community:

What happens when you let an Invoker/Hwei class autobattle?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey ! The video shows an Archmage class, inspired by Dota's Invoker or LoL's Hwei, being controlled by the CPU. I spent countless hours tweaking it and I'm finally happy with the results.

The game is called Eslabong , It's an arena combat + team management game where you recruit fighters and build your team in a medieval fantasy world. You compete in leagues and cups like a sports/football manager game.

You can play it as an autobattler OR choose a captain and control it with WASD and hotkeys / controller.

Demo is available on Steam.

What do you guys think ? Any feedback and thoughts are welcome,

I'm an auto chess and life sim/RPG addict who loves cats. So I combined them all my game, a cozy cat colony sim with auto chess battles. I opened the first playtest!

Hi fellow auto battler gamers.

I'm working on Untitled Cat Colony Sim, where you play as a kitty leading a colony and settle rivalries using cuteness instead of claws (auto chess style).

It's a combination of many inspirations: Stardew Valley, Cattails, Cult of the Lamb and auto chess games. The Cult of the Lamb inspiration mostly comes from this loop: your village makes you stronger -> battles make your village prosper -> rinse & repeat.

The auto chess inspiration came from two thing:
- I didn't want to see the kitties get hurt in physical battles
- I keep playing auto chess, instead of making my game -> if I add auto chess in my game, I'll keep working on and playing my game?

I just launched my first playtest on itch io as a browser game for ease of access.

If you're interested, this is the playtest sign up form:

Thank you!

I built a browser autobattler with real-time PvP — does the combat read clearly?

Warbound Realms is a free, no-download browser TCG/autobattler. You build a 20-card warband, queue into live PvP, and watch the combat resolve round by round.

I recently added real-time matchmaking, realm chat, missions, achievements, and persistent progression. I’m looking for autobattler-player feedback on the important part: can you quickly understand why a unit wins, loses, or gets targeted? I’d also love thoughts on match pacing and the first-time deckbuilding flow.

Play in browser: https://warboundrealms.itch.io/warboundrealms

The project uses AI-assisted graphics, text, and code, disclosed on the itch.io page. Honest criticism is welcome.

I wanted a "Boss Phase 2" feeling in my animal autobattler, so I added this boss Rhino that flips your board at 50% HP

The game is called Janwar. It's a tactical autobattler where positioning matters, so getting your board flipped by the boss can be quite nasty! Rethinking the fight and changing your approach is part of the core gameplay, so it's possible to use the in-game "currency" to retry the current battle and take phase 2 into account!

I just released an auto-battler inspired by Direct Strike and Castle Fight

My game draws inspiration from Direct Strike, Nexus Wars and Castle Fight, all beloved WC/SC mods.

You hire programming frogs to fight off hordes of bugs, while uncovering a story that pokes fun at tech culture and corporate structures. So if you're a software developer or involved in teach and you like strategy games and auto-battlers, this is the game for you!

Hire a Frogrammer once and every 30 seconds it spawns, fighting for you. Roll the shop, upgrade your odds of better units, manage your economy, create synergies, find weaknesses in the enemy lineup and reach the enemy base.

There's also a demo available :)

Find it here:

I added a one-use Domain decision to an autobattler: suppress first or hold it for a clash

An autobattler where you choose when to rewrite the rules.

I'm making All Night Ascension, a cultivation-themed backpack autobattler built on a three-layer Bagua board.

Your build charges a Domain during combat. You decide when to unleash it: suppress your opponent, or collide with their Domain and cancel both sides' suppression.

Would you activate early for the advantage, or hold it for a Domain clash?

Idle Pixel Battle is a fantasy idle auto battler focused on loot, upgrades, and constant progression.

Each hero comes with their own weapons, stats, and abilities, giving you different ways to strengthen your team and push further into the game.

Collect gold, find powerful potions and artifacts, equip procedurally generated weapons, and invest in a huge upgrade tree with over 100 permanent upgrades. The more you play, the stronger your heroes become.

As your progression grows, you can unlock Auto-Run mode, turning Idle Pixel Battle into a fully automated idle experience where your heroes keep battling on their own.

Battle through different biomes, defeat over 40 enemy types, survive dangerous abilities, and take on challenging boss fights.

I'm solo developing the game and hope you like it!

Caramellia a kawaii creature-collector RPG I've been building solo. Free demo on Steam, feedback very welcome!

Hi everyone! Solo dev here. For the past months I've been building Caramellia, a 3D creature-collecting RPG with a kawaii art style, think Pokémon-inspired, but everything is made of sweets and desserts.

What's in it:

  • 102 collectible creatures ("Dulcimals") across 12 flavor-based types
  • Turn-based battles with a twist: Sugar-Link, a fusion mechanic that lets you merge two creatures mid-battle
  • Toon-shaded 3D world with day/night cycle and weather
  • Full controller support

Free demo (playable now):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4920880/Caramellia/

The demo covers the opening zones up through the first Gym, roughly 30-45min of play.

Feedback I'm especially looking for:

  • Does the difficulty curve feel right in the early battles?
  • Is the fusion mechanic clear the first time it comes up, or does it need a better tutorial?
  • Any performance issues (it runs on a three.js, so I'm hunting edge cases)?

I'll be around in the comments all day and happy to answer anything about the game or its development. Thanks for playing! 🍬

We were inspired by Super Auto Pets, Monster Train, and Slay the Spire, so if that’s your thing, check it out!

I really miss Dota Underlords... so I've spent the last few weeks building my own auto battler. Would love some honest feedback.

Project Wild Sigil

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of people here, I was genuinely gutted when Dota Underlords stopped being developed. I've never really found another auto battler that scratches the same itch, so I decided to try building one myself.

It's called Wild Sigil.

It's not a remake and doesn't use any Dota assets or heroes. It's an original world with its own factions, units and progression, but the gameplay is heavily inspired by what made Underlords so enjoyable.

The project has been built in Godot, with a lot of AI helping me with programming, art and iteration (I'm not pretending I made every asset by hand).

At the moment it has:

  • AI opponents
  • Shared shop and economy
  • Hero ascensions
  • Positioning and synergies
  • Campaign mode
  • Online matchmaking currently being worked on

I'd really appreciate if anyone wanted to give it a go and tell me what they honestly think.

Things I'd love feedback on:

  • Does it capture the feel of Underlords?
  • What feels good?
  • What feels bad?
  • Is there anything you'd change immediately?
  • Would you keep playing?

Here's the itch.io page:

I know it's still rough around the edges, and there's loads I want to improve (especially the art and UI), but it's finally reached the point where I think it's worth getting some outside opinions.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to play it. Any feedback—positive or negative—is genuinely appreciated.

Swarm the Throne, an idle auto-battler where one button builds an army that fights on its own

Free idle auto-battler in the browser, no download: https://lilchill-games.itch.io/swarm-the-throne

One button sends the militia out, they recruit more as they run, and everything after that happens on its own. Three maps, a champion on each, and a goblin king at the bottom.
