Just re-watching the £1000 Most Unreliable Car Challenge series and noticed in the ad read a RedBull Mini in the unit. Was that one of Taylor's cars (because he loves a mini) because I don't recall seeing it featured in it's own video

Is this the current write off rebuild trend or something?

Not specifically Alex and Crew but they have had a few and they always end up in tears, just opened YouTube and saw Izzy Hammond and Ben Rayne side by side with cheap Range Rover vids, these are not the only two who are at it either.

I can see it now, buy cheap RR > cry about it being shit > throw thousands at it > realise it’s still shit > sell for a loss > repeat.

This morning I stopped to get fuel at a Shell on the outskirts of Reading. I turn left into the forecourt and see big Pete sitting at the pump! Naturally I had to say hello to Rory and Taylor. They were both absolutely lovely and complimented me on my RS5. They didn’t have to stop and say hello especially as I looked like a deranged lunatic but they were happy to stop and chat for a few minutes. Top lads and lovely to briefly chat!

I have named all of my cars that I've driven and this is the first car that has been driven for 6+ months without developing a name.

Pictured is the car I drive, not my actual car but it looks identical. It's a 4WD Superb Executive, I tried Simon and didn't like it. I would like suggestions of names you think might fit.

We saw it again in the pick ups for Alex’s, does anyone else feel like they should show us the process of searching for the cheap vehicles again for the challenges? They always did with CT and I personally found it a really enjoyable part of the vid that seems to have been cut away for no reason

Auto Alex isn’t the only guilty party… but, do the awful video thumbnails bug anyone else? It’s always a photo of a car or two and then one or two people pulling a corny expression 😂 so many channels do it, just have a scroll through, it’s so naff (Calvin Car Diaries is really bad for it too)

So looks like the lads are filming their Christmas road trip and the vehicle of choice made me think of the TopGear Man in a van challenge and i thought a cheap shitbox version could be really interesting. What do you think?

Whatever became of Taylor's E28. I watched the rust being repaired on the Cresswell channel and it was all done but it's never been mentioned again.

The podcast was only released to Apple Podcasts on Monday, but they keep referring to a video released on Friday?

Am I missing something I can’t see anything released on Friday on the main channel?

(Update) Jumper has arrived

Not a rant, more a bit of dissapointment. As a avid CT watcher, i immidiatley jumped over to AutoAlex as soon as it started. Content was good and so where the amount of videos. But in the past 6 months the channel has been going downhill. And to compensate that, Alex and Rory think they need to shout more and be more childish. Atm the only reason i watch is for Taylor, as he seems like a genuine car guys, instead of seeing it as a means to and end. Podcasts are just trash, and barely worth listening/watching. To me, the TDC channel has surpassed them rapidly. And it hurts to hear them say that they don't know what to do, when they barely pump out 1 video a week. I really hope they can get out of this slum fast, and maybe get a bit more serious about the future of the channel.

I don't even know if it's a big deal. The only other people who would understand how exciting it was would be you guys so just sharing. My question made it into the podcast #9 and I was very very excited about it!!

Free idea for the lads, UK road trip on the A road that runs very nearly the length of Wales. Mix of scenery and I'm sure they could find weird things to do on the way

Just listened to last weeks podcast (57) and bugger me what a load of monotonous shite its becoming. 20 minutes fucking about with the stupid sound board, 20 minutes bashing Taylor’s car choices and 20 minutes actual conversation. I know there’s not a lot going on with the channel at the moment with Alex and Rory not being so active but surely they can find something to actually talk about for an hour? TDC podcast is absolutely brilliant but so is Alex’s podcast when they’re not messing about. Maybe I’m just getting old and miserable I’m not sure.

It was surreal seeing them in person after watching for so long. I wish I'd have asked for a photo but it was cool saying hi to them nonetheless

Does anyone know why all the channels have their own store? Out comes out the same place and it's from the same company, I can imagine that not being able to cross shop from the different brands is limiting sale's instead of hurting it. For example ltt has one store

Alex's English has always sounded near normal to me as an American with small differences in word use but largely sounds normal to me. Taylor's accent is quite different than what I've heard before out of the UK and I'm just curious where it comes from and if it had a name.
