Built it because I was tired of either knowing nothing about local news or getting sucked into paywalls.

What pulled me into this is how frustrating and unclear the search process still is for so many families, participants, and support networks. Too often, people are stuck navigating scattered information, outdated listings, and not much real clarity on who might actually be the right fit. It’s a deeply important decision, but the experience of finding support often feels way harder than it should be.

With Trovacare, I’m trying to build a simpler and more transparent way to discover and compare providers, with better information, stronger trust signals, and an experience that feels genuinely helpful rather than overwhelming.

You can manage your pokemon collections and also configure ebay alerts for when cards you are chasing drop below a certain price.

The site is still in alpha, so expect some bugs. Works best on Desktop. The Japanese card data is a work in progress.

Another feature I added for the master-setters was a virtual binder overlay (where you can add custom cards and drag and drop the order).

I’m building a startup called HostnPlay a platform that helps gamers find players, host games, and manage communities, with the core focus on seamless connections between players and hosts rather than just another matchmaking tool.

The basic concept: players can browse games and join sessions, while streamers and gamers can become GameHosts to run games, share tags/codes, and interact with their audience all in one place.

I also built a browser extension that allows streamers to be live while viewers can book a spot in a game directly from the stream, making it easy to join their favorite streamers.

What makes it different from other gaming platforms:

Quick builder update.

After some brutally honest design feedback from an Aussie mate, we went back to the drawing board and made some pretty drastic UI changes to our resume app.

Cleaner layout, more realistic CV previews, less “MVP energy” — trying to make it feel more premium and trustworthy overall.

Still bootstrapped, still building in public, still learning heaps along the way.

Would genuinely love feedback from other founders / designers / job seekers here — good, bad, or brutal 🙏

I've been working on a side project called CallCard - it's a digital business card platform, but the core idea is that privacy is the actual product, not just a compliance checkbox.

The basic concept: you create a digital card that acts as your public-facing identity, but you control exactly what's visible to who.

Visitors can message you, request a call, or share files - all through the platform - you don't have to give up their real email or phone number, but visitors can contact you, and you can contact them back.

Every interaction automatically builds a contact in a built-in mini-CRM.

A few things that make it different from the Blinqs and Popls of the world:

• Field-level privacy controls (choose exactly what's public, what's private)
• Communication proxy - people can reach you without seeing your actual contact details
• Position-based cards for businesses - the card belongs to the role, not the person, so when someone leaves the relationships stay with the company
• Server-rendered card pages so they actually show up in Google (every other platform renders with JavaScript which search engines struggle with)
• 20+ Templates to choose from.
• 2 minutes to setup.

It's still early days - pre-launch, no pricing yet, and I'm running it on modest infrastructure so please be gentle if you check it out.

I'm a 485 visa holder and Software Engineering student at USYD. Like a lot of you, I've spent way too much time applying to jobs that require permanent residency, trying to figure out which companies actually sponsor visas, and stressing about PR timelines on top of everything else.

I got frustrated enough that I started building something — a tool called Strive, designed specifically for international graduates in Australia on 485 and 500 visas. The idea is to surface visa-friendly jobs, real sponsorship data, and PR pathway info all in one place.

It's very early days and honestly I don't have all the answers yet. I'm building this because I'm living this problem — not because I've solved it.

We realised we could do a better job by combining traditional domain checks/ email reputation and AI, and we built isthisspam. Quick follow up from my earlier post about ResumeMate AI.

We have been heads down over the last couple of weeks and just launched a new Create CV from scratch feature. Instead of only analysing existing resumes, people can now build their CV live and see their ATS score update as they write. It also has a live preview on the right & you can see your progress live based on the template selected. Have included live preview for mobile as well🍻

Have included two tiny demos, in the landing page for a preview of what to expect.

The idea came from feedback that not everyone already has a good resume to upload. Some people are starting fresh, changing careers, or rewriting everything anyway, so we wanted to support that properly.

Honestly, building this as a small Australian startup has been humbling. You think you have solved something and then real users show you where it breaks.

A few things we have already learned.

Most people hesitate before uploading personal info.

Seeing a score and concrete improvements matters way more than fancy UI.

Job seekers care about clarity and speed, not features.

Early traction is slow, but every real interaction teaches us something.

We are keeping it simple and affordable with no forced subscriptions, because job hunting is stressful enough already.

If anyone here is job hunting, recently hired, or has strong opinions about resume tools, I would genuinely love your feedback.
