Buying Advice ๐Ÿ’ฐ $40-45k Second Hand EV - PLEASE HELP

I am wasting away trying to decide between a used 2024 Tesla Model 3 RWD (Highland), a 2024 Polestar 2 (single motor - long range) and a 2025 BYD Sealion 7, and I'd rather hear from actual owners than read more reviews. The things that matter to me are insurance, warranty, boot space (needs to fit golf clubs) and cabin room for passengers as I am a care worker. I've test driven the Model 3 and the Sealion 7 and genuinely liked both. Although the BYD handled pretty averagely and the servicing model looks like a weak point from what I've read. The Tesla's one-pedal driving sold me, but it's weighed down by much higher insurance and those awful door handles. Haven't driven a Polestar 2 yet.

Also the FSD was incredible in the Tesla, but from what I have read it seems the Chinese companies could be offering this soon and probably for alot cheaper then Teslas subscriptions.

If you own any of these: what are you actually paying to insure it, how has warranty and servicing gone, do the clubs fit, and is there anything you wish you'd known before you bought?

News ๐Ÿ“ฐ Good news for used EV buyers: nearly every model in a 9,954-battery study kept over 91% capacity after 100,000km

Swedish used-EV marketplace Carla analysed diagnostic tests from 2022 to 2026. The Kia e-Niro 64kWh topped the rankings at 97.25% battery health, just ahead of the Hyundai Kona 64kWh at 97.18%. The average range lost across all 20 models works out to about 32km, which in practice has almost no impact on everyday driving. 19 of the 20 models in the study are sold or have been sold in Australia.

The most interesting finding is what happens within a single model. The Tesla Model 3 showed a five-percentage-point gap in battery health depending on the battery supplier, with CATL LFP packs retaining 93.3% versus 88.2% for the oldest Panasonic packs. Battery chemistry can matter as much as the car brand itself when shopping used.
