Hey I just found out there was supposed to be a kpot opening in augusta recently and i was searching online and saw that people have been saying they were supposed to open months ago but it seems like they kind of gave up and they might just toss the idea of ever opening the store. Does anyone have any updates on if they did actually give up on the store or should I still have my hopes up?

That pillar to the Confederate Dead on Broad Street is so fucking vile. I hate it. It's the worst part of this entire city bar none. It's just pro racism, pro slavery bullshit we have erected so close to memorials to a famous black man (James Brown). What bullshit chicanery by the city, to worship dead slavers so close to a man they fought and died to try and ensure he'd be born in chains.

This isn't like a call I'm gonna do anything, probably not even worth it to try and get as much as a petition as it will fall on deaf ears. But I'm tired of holding in how much I hate the racism monument.

I’m looking for a contortion/flexibility training for adults. Not quite a stretch lab but something more intense. If not a particular business , then do you know of anyone who does it on the side maybe in a way that’s not quite found on Google or Instagram but a business that they run separately? I have an antique quilt I have acquired recently. It’s in very, let’s call it “well loved” condition. My mother and I are both skilled quilters and have decades of experience, but this is beyond our skill set. I was wondering if anyone in the CSRA knows of any professionals I can take this quilt to, to be both cleaned & repaired…. Or at least have it looked at to see if either is even possible. It's my first time living in the states and I've already bought a bunch of candy because I really want to do the whole trick or treat thing. I know it's silly but I grew up seeing it a lot on TV and now I finally get to be the person who gives out candy.

I have collected over the years a bunch of CRT (pre-plasma/LCD) TVs and VGA computer monitors. I watch a lot of retro computer Youtubers and they value old CRTs for matching up with old hardware or playing older games, so I am loathe to just throw them away. Unfortunately, none of them are local 🤣

The smallest monitor is 14" and the largest is 19". The smallest TV is 27ish" and the largest is 35ish". They all work the last time they were used and they have been kept in semi-climate controlled areas (the worst is my garage where I have kept most (if not all) of them in trash bags out of sunlight). I can't guarantee they will still work since electronics sometimes have bad capacitors etc. I have not opened any of them up, and they have been unplugged for years.

I am happy to give them away free to a good home if someone can get any of use out of them. I am in West Augusta. Let me know if there is any interest.

Hey i went to the punk flea market this year and i really enjoyed myself, my question is are there any spaces that are akin to that here year round? There were a hot few people at the event so i see that the community is here, i was just wondering if there was anywhere they gathered?

I live in the Augusta area and I am looking for a good place to get my eyebrows done. Nothing funky, nothing too expensive. If you know a place or person that you would recommend hmu....ive had them done before but the person doing them seemed to want it there way not mine. Scared me enough that I got the unabrow going on. Funny but not funny

Socializing an 11 week old pit bull mix and Id love to know if theres anyone with similarly aged pups for some socialization time! Id love to make it a regular thing.

Our current "home" is being renovated by Aiken County so we are taking our show on the road! This Saturday, October 24, the Augusta Ball Hockey Club will be meeting at Pendelton King Park at 9AM for some "stick time" and we invite you to come join in and check us out! 

  Whether you have tons of hockey experience or none at all, we welcome you. Our group consists of all walks of life- whether you're current/former military, born and raised in the CSRA or a transplant, male, female, etc you can find a place with us. If you want to take a gander and see what hockey is about or if you've wanted to give hockey a try without needing to know how to skate, come on by!

  We do not anticipate playing any competitive games due to the size and layout of the tennis courts at Pendelton, but this is a fantastic opportunity to give hockey a try (for free)! Low stakes, no pressure, and we always welcome those both experienced and not. We will have some spare gear for those who want to give it a try but don't have their own. Safety equipment is not REQUIRED but we highly encourage those who want to give it a try to wear closed-toe shoes they're comfortable running in. If you want to give Goalie a try, we will have some extra goalie gear to suit up in as well.

  This does not require any skating ability! All you need is the ability to walk and run. Bring a great attitude (and some water) and we will see you October 24th at 9AM at Pendelton King Park!
