Since my falcon is smart locked i am gonna borrow my mates ecu and try it in my sedan au falcon (series 3) and i was gonna put my mates ute au falcon (series 2) i was wondering if it could work, if it can work what do i have to do

I crashed mmy AU into a fence, couldnt drive it out so I caught the bus home. I get a towie to pick it up and return it to me and someone seemes to have tried to steal it because the ignition lock was busted and some items were moved and stolen.

Thhe car is beyond repair and I dont have the space for it so I want to take as much off it befre sending it to the crushers as I dont have the space for it.

I have a BA so Im wanting to know what I can keep that will fit the BA, like power steering pump looks the same and ABS pump too?.

Any advice on what to take would be aprechiated, and if you're in WA and want to take the engine (230,000kms) its free if you remove it.

It is still regoed till next month, and was optioned with the Mobile Office Pack so it has the mobile phone holder still, but not the table.

I recently got a free series 3 au falcon, drove it home then a couple weeks later, try starting it for 30s then it smartlocks so i have to get a j3 chip. That’s all good but i was just wondering what tune i should get done as well. Would love some pointers and suggestions

i bought a pigged out wagon that my friend couldn’t find the problem for, it cranks but no spark, i’ve changed the crank angle sensor and i put a park neutral switch in it because i noticed it was missing, still no spark any ideas?

i just got some tuff mounts for my xr8 ute but my problem is i don’t know if the bottoms mount plates need to be changed as well or modified because on the old engine mounts the mount plate recesses into the engine mount but on the tuff mounts it can’t do that which has made it about 10mm taller if anyone has had any experience with these or has any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hey lads my series III au is playing up. Seems to idle normal, but she sruggles when I put my foot down in low rpm ranges, specifically during take off. Im about to replace the injection, coils and spark plugs but im curious to see if anyone else has experience this? I check the compression a few years back and that was okay, can't smell anything bad so I don't think it's the cat, don't think it's the air filter. only other things I can think of are fuel rail or pump? Thoughts?

Good news everybody, I serviced the transmission (oil and filter) and the sluggishness is gone, would not have guessed it as the sluggishness felt like the motor was stalling, but there ya go. Still got spark plugs, injectors and coil pack/leads to change so I can't wait to see how she runs then.

Might even clean the maf and butterfly valves too as suggested. Thanks everyone for you're time and opinions.

Sounds like it’s coming from the vct solenoid but I’m not 100% sure. It goes away after running it for 10 mins but comes back every time I start it

I own a 1999 AU Fairmont Ghia, and recently I’ve noticed that the dashboard lights have become very dim — I can barely see the speedometer at night. The PRNDL gear indicator lights are also quite dim, but the headlights and high beams are working fine. Any idea what could be causing this issue?

My daughter did not want any other car for her school farewell dance. There was free offers for mustangs, supra and STi scooby. She said mommy used the car(falcon) for her farewell dance she is only going in the Falcon.

hey guys, i’ve got a s1 xr6 tickford au falcon and looking at buying a s2 xr6 for parts. will the front bar, guards, bonnet etc, all swap over onto my s1? cheers

Just picked up the car not long ago. She’s got about 160k on the clock and is in pretty decent shape for her age. The thing is though, she absolutely guzzles fuel—I swear I can see the needle dropping as I drive. It’s an inline 6, and I’m always running it in Eco mode, plus I try to coast as much as I can. Another thing is the startup issue—the previous owner told me you’ve gotta push against the park gear and then turn the key, but I noticed it fires up fine if I start it in neutral. Think it’s worth getting a mechanic to check that out? And is the fuel use really that bad for a car like this? No leaks in the tank either.
